"Scrubs" Reboot Gets Green Light with Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke to Return
Yara Sameh Fifteen years after "Scrubs" was canceled at ABC, the reboot of the beloved hospital comedy has officially been greenlit, receiving a straight-to-series order from the broadcaster. Original series star Zach Braff is already onboard with the new show. Now, he will be joined by fellow original cast members Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke. According to sources, more original cast members are expected to return. ''Scrubs' means so very much to me. So excited for the chance to get the band back together,' said original series creator Bill Lawrence. The official logline for the new 'Scrubs' reads, 'JD (Braff) & Turk (Faison) scrub in together for the first time in a long time- medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. Characters new and old navigate the waters of Sacred Heart with laughter, heart, and some surprises along the way.' Fellow 'Scrubs' alums Tim Hobert and Aseem Batra will serve as executive producers and showrunners on the revival of the series, with Lawrence executive producing via Doozer along with Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer. Braff, Faison, and Chalke are also executive producing in addition to starring. 20th Television is the studio. Lawrence remains under his overall deal at Warner Bros. Television, with that studio carving out room for Lawrence to work with his former studio partners on 'Scrubs.' The new 'Scrubs' was first reported to be in early development in December 2024, while Braff's return was first reported in May. The show originally aired on NBC for its first seven seasons from 2001-2008, followed by two seasons at ABC from 2009-2010. The single-cam comedy took place at Sacred Heart Hospital and followed the interns, doctors, nurses, and the Janitor through their day-to-day lives at the hospital. Along with Braff, Faison, and Braff, the cast included Judy Reyes, Ken Jenkins, John C. McGinley, and Neil Flynn. Prior to the pickup, ABC had only two pure comedies on its schedule for 2025-2026 — returning shows 'Abbot Elementary' and 'Shifting Gears.' The network also ordered the spinoff '9-1-1: Nashville' straight-to-series earlier this year. ABC did not order any pilots during the traditional pilot season this year, but is currently prepping the drama 'RJ Decker' starring Scott Speedman. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War News "Tensions Escalate: Iran Probes Allegations of Indian Tech Collaboration with Israeli Intelligence" News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Arts & Culture Hawass Foundation Launches 1st Course to Teach Ancient Egyptian Language

Quinta Brunson Breaks Silence On Her Divorce Becoming Public
Quinta Brunson knew the news about her divorce would eventually come out, but she wasn't quite ready to raise her hand to speak on it. In March, The Associated Press reported Brunson's quiet split from her now ex-husband, Kevin Anik — whom she was married to for three years. Now, in a June 30 cover story for Bustle, the 'Abbot Elementary' creator is finally addressing it on her own terms. 'I remember seeing people be like, 'She announced her divorce,'' Brunson recalled. 'I didn't announce anything.' Brunson, who has made a living where subtext does the heavy-lifting, was still grading her own emotional response when the public conversation got ahead of her lesson plan. In her interview with the outlet, she reflected on the assumptions people make about public figures and their private lives. 'I think people have this idea that people in the public eye want the public to know their every move. None of us do. I promise you,' she said. She also noted she's gotten better at tuning out the online chatter, even when it comes from well-meaning fans. 'I love my fans, I love the people who watch Abbott. So you want to hear them, and you want to listen to them, but when it comes to matters of your personal life and decisions you make, you do have to tune it out,' Brunson explained. According to court documents cited by AP, the split was amicable, with no major disputes over assets. As for her professional life, Brunson is still ahead of the class: 'Abbott Elementary' has been renewed for its fifth season. Here Are Super Common Foods That Can Be Especially Dangerous To Eat If You Leave Them Out Too Long
Most of us have come home from a restaurant and dropped our neatly packaged leftovers on the counter before getting distracted by our dog or kid or an episode of Abbot Elementary. Before we know it, it's bedtime and that half-serving of pad thai has been sitting out for who knows how long. We desperately want to eat it for lunch tomorrow, but if we do, will we end up the victim of an unfortunate gastric episode — or even worse? That's what we aimed to find out when we — Raj Punjabi and Noah Michelson, the co-hosts of HuffPost's 'Am I Doing It Wrong?' podcast — recently chatted with Kristen Aiken, HuffPost's executive director of Life and Commerce. During our 45 minutes together, Aiken, a culinary school grad and passionate food safety aficionado, gave us tips on how to spare our stomachs (and other delicate body parts) from the nightmarish repercussions of spoiled food. The most shocking thing we learned was that some unexpected foods are especially dangerous when left out — and consuming them has even led to death. '[The name for this] is 'Fried Rice Syndrome' colloquially, but it really applies to [almost all] pastas and rices,' Aiken told us before reading from a case report about a young Belgian man who died after consuming spaghetti with red sauce that had been left on his counter at room temperature for five days. An autopsy revealed that there were high levels of bacillus cereus present in his body. 'It's a pretty common bacteria that's found in most foods, and it doesn't make most of us sick most of the time,' Aiken explained. 'It's bacteria that starts as a spore that's inactive. Once you heat it during the initial cooking, it can become activated and release toxins. And the longer the food is left out at room temperature, the more the bacteria multiplies.' Bacillus cereus spores are most commonly associated with rice and pasta, but they can also be found in meat and cheese. They are especially risky because they are resistant to heat (they ' can only be eliminated by high-temperature treatment, say 121°C for 3 minutes '), and the toxins they produce cannot be destroyed with heat. Death from eating starchy foods left out at room temperature is rare (and other health factors may have been at play in the case of the Belgian man who died), but it can happen. It's more likely that eating improperly stored food will cause classic food poisoning symptoms like vomiting or diarrhea that should clear up within a few days. This is why Aiken recommends putting your leftover rice and pasta — and all other foods — in the refrigerator or freezer as quickly as possible to avoid any potential issues. 'The rule you will hear me say a million times over ... there's this temperature danger zone between 40 degrees Fahrenheit and 140 degrees Fahrenheit where you really shouldn't leave your food in that range for more than two hours because that's when the bacteria start to multiply,' Aiken said. If something has been out for longer than two hours, you should consider throwing it away. In this episode, we also chatted with her about whether or not ketchup and other condiments really need to go in the fridge, foods that will stay good indefinitely, and much more. Listen to it here. After you've had a listen above, or wherever you get your podcasts, subscribe to 'Am I Doing It Wrong?' so you don't miss a single episode, including our investigations of how to improve our gut health, secrets for better teeth from a celebrity dentist, how to score the best deals on airline tickets, how to poop like a pro, apologizing, vanquishing your credit card debt, finding love online, overcoming anxiety, making a big life change and getting a tattoo.

Here's how to watch Moana 2 at home now
Moana 2 – the music-filled ocean adventure – has something for the whole family, and the smash hit has just landed on Disney+. After nearly 10 years, Moana is back and braver than ever. 'She's exactly the heroine you want every kid to look up to: self-empowered but tender-hearted,' wrote The Independent 's chief film critic Clarisse Loughrey in her review of the film. Auli'i Cravalho returns as Moana, with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson reprising his role as the mischievous Maui. The 2016 musical won hearts worldwide with its stunning visuals, catchy songs, and bold message on protecting our planet. While Lin-Manuel Miranda isn't composing this time, he was 'thrilled' with the all-female duo Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear's take on the new film. For more action, ocean, and emotion, here's how to watch Moana 2 at home. When did Moana 2 come out on Disney+? Moana 2 premiered on Disney+ on 12 March, so you can watch it right now at home. If you haven't already, now is a great time to sign up for the streaming service and enjoy all the action, drama and fun the site has to offer. It's not just for little kids but for big ones too. Disney+ is the first to stream all the newest Hulu and Star TV shows, including Golden Globe -winning shows like The Bear, Abbot Elementary, Only Murders in the Building and so many more. It also gets early access to all the Marvel content, both the blockbuster films and the shiny new shows. What is Moana 2 about? Following on three years after the first movie we find Moana (Cravalho) exploring nearby islands from her home of Motunui. In a vision, she hears her ancestors speaking to her, calling her to a new quest. She must find a way to rediscover the lost island of Motu Fetu in order to defeat the storm god Nalo and protect her people from extinction. So Moana, brave as ever, builds a crew and heads out into the open ocean to begin her next adventure, and it's safe to say she encounters a bump or two along the way. Loughrey writes in her review of the world Disney has created in this film: 'She [Moana] inhabits a world of Polynesian myth that feels rich and deep-rooted, not a culture merely slapped on as costume, and benefiting from Polynesian talent across its voice cast and behind the scenes.' With a stunning 'pearlescent' animation style of shimmering pink hues, we think this sounds like a film that needs to be seen to be believed.
