Al Hilal Healthcare Hosts Iftar Event
The holy month of Ramadan is a season of spiritual reflection, harmony, and cherishing the values of compassion. On this occasion, Al Hilal Healthcare Group, the largest private healthcare group in the Kingdom of Bahrain, organized one of the largest Iftars in the Kingdom on March 13, 2025, at the parking lot of Al Hilal recent Branch in Manama Central near Manama bus stop. This year, more than 1,600 people attended the Iftar, reflecting the success of the event and the high level of community participation. The grand Iftar was attended by ambassadors from various diplomatic missions, members of the Royal Parliament, the Board of Directors of Al Hilal Healthcare Group, respected members of the media, employees, and valuable clients. The event was attended by the Managing Directors of Al Hilal Healthcare Group, Dr. P.A. Mohammed and Mr. Abdul Latheef, along with the Senior Leadership, Management, and Marketing Teams of Al Hilal Healthcare Group. The occasion was also graced by distinguished guests from various fields. Among the notable attendees were ambassadors and embassy representatives, including HE Shazryll Zahiran (Ambassador of Malaysia), HE MD. Rais Hassan Sarower NDC (Ambassador of Bangladesh), HE Saqib Rauf (Ambassador of Pakistan), HE Anne Jalando-on Louis (Ambassador of the Philippines), HE Shiferaw G. The Directors of Al Hilal Healthcare Group, Dr. P.A. Mohamed and Mr. Abdul Latif, expressed their gratitude and appreciation to all the ambassadors and other attendees during this occasion, emphasizing the importance of preserving these customs and traditions that reflect community bonds. They noted that such events are an integral part of the Group's vision to strengthen ties between individuals and the community, creating an atmosphere of cooperation and harmony. After the Iftar, a small Gergauan event was held for the children, which added a touch of happiness and fun. This activity, which is part of the cultural heritage, contributed to enhancing the spirit of participation and celebration among everyone. Additionally, goodie bags were distributed to all the children, further adding to the festive atmosphere and making the occasion even more special for the little ones. Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals receive ACHSI certification
Badr Al Samaa Hospitals in Ruwi, Al Khoud, Barka, Sohar, Salalah, and Nizwa have successfully achieved accreditation from the prestigious Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI). Muscat – The official accreditation certificate handing over ceremony was recently conducted in Muscat. The Chief Guest of the event, H E Dr. Ahmed Salim Saif al Mandhari, Undersecretary for Planning and Health Organisation, MoH, and in the presence of the Guest of Honour, Dr. Qamra al Sariri, Director General Quality Assurance Centre, MoH, Managing Director of Badr Al Samaa, Abdul Latheef, Executive Directors of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, Moiden Bilal and Firasath Hassan, Dr. Said al Mughairi, Director of Quality Assurance and Patient Safety, Directorate General of Private Health Establishment, Regional Director of ACHSI Bassel el Sayegh presented the Quality Accreditation Certificates to branch heads of each of the accredited hospitals of Badr Al Samaa Group and the corporate certificates to its executive directors. Notably, all hospitals met 100% of the criteria outlined in the accreditation process, reflecting their unwavering commitment to excellence and patient safety & quality in healthcare. The ACHSI assessment survey lasted for 5 days and was conducted by 9 assessors from ACHSI. In his keynote speech, Abdul Latheef, Managing Director, Badr Al Samaa Group and Board Member of Oman Chamber of Commerce & Industry, said that the quality accreditation is not mandated or made compulsory in Oman but being the largest private healthcare group in Oman, Badr Al Samaa Group felt that that it is its responsibility to take such initiatives in the interest of the deserving patients and ensure the best quality and safe healthcare practices. Speaking on the occasion the chief guest, H E Dr. Ahmed Salim Saif al Mandhari, Undersecretary for Planning and Health Organisation, MoH, said, 'There are key success factors when we talk about excellence and getting the accreditations like Badr Al Samaa did is the good example of excellence'. He appreciated Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, its leadership; teamwork and empowered workforce for achieving the feat of getting 6 hospitals accredited at one go. He further added, 'There has been a complete transformation in the way we deliver healthcare services to community. In this new age we need to adapt to innovation, ensure availability of services and continuously improve the quality of the services. And we are proud that Badr Al Samaa is continuously progressing in all fields'. Regional Director of ACHSI Bassel el Sayegh congratulated Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals and said, 'Achieving accreditation is not simple, it is the result of hard-work, pursuit of excellence, hospital staff & leadership's living culture of quality improvement in everyday practices. He said the quality accreditation achieved by 6 hospitals of Badr Al Samaa Group is the reflection of commitment that Badr Al Samaa Group is putting in implementing the high standards in patient care, clinical governance and operational efficiency. Dr. Qamra Al Sariri, Director General Quality Assurance Centre, MoH, the guest of honour of the event, said, 'I am really happy to see the commitment of the leadership in Badr Al Samaa towards the excellence in providing the quality healthcare to the people of Oman'. She added, 'The journey of quality for Badr Al Samaa will not end here, it is a milestone and the journey will keep on continuing. It is a regular process of implementation of new quality guidelines and standards and enhancing the sustainability of the standards in all 6 hospitals of Badr Al Samaa which are now ACHSI accredited'. Managing Director of Badr Al Samaa Group, Dr. P A Mohammed expressed pride for being the only group accepting the challenge and delivering successful quality accreditation process for 6 hospitals in one go. He appreciated the heard working team which was behind its success. In a joint statement the executive directors of Badr Al Samaa Group of Hospitals, Moiden Bilal and Firasath Hasaan expressed appreciations to each member of the quality accreditation team for not just achieving the quality accreditations but for continually making the quality healthcare practices a standard in Badr Al Samaa's operations. The ACSHI quality accreditation certificate for the corporate was received by Executive Directors Firasath Hassan and Moiden Bilal and for Badr Al Samaa Hospital, Ruwi, Al Khoud, Sohar, Nizwa, Salalah and Barka were consecutively received by Jayaram Shrianthadka (Branch Manager), Vipin K Chandran (Branch Manager), Manoj Kumar (Regional Head) & Mithleesh (Branch Manager), Maneesh A Mani (Branch Manager), Abdul Azeez (Branch Manager) and Sister Smija KP and Sister Animole Thomas, Group Quality Coordinators. ACHSI accreditation is an external assessment of the quality of care and services provided aimed at elevating and regulating the policies and protocols of healthcare services operations which eventually ensure better patient care, patient safety and satisfaction. This internationally recognised evaluation process helps assess and enhance the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of healthcare organisations. It also serves as a public acknowledgment that a healthcare organization has achieved the required quality standards.
