Man injured after being rammed by car at burger stall
KUALA LUMPUR: A 39-year-old man was injured when a car crashed into him while he eating at a burger stall on Sunday evening.
The incident, which occurred at 7pm in Section 17, Shah Alam, involved a Proton Wira driven by a 55-year-old man.
Shah Alam district police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit a road divider and ploughed into the victim, who was seated at a table at the stall.
The victim suffered broken ribs and back injuries.
The driver was arrested and taken to Shah Alam Hospital for alcohol and drug tests.
Police are investigating the case under Section 44(1)(a) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
