IDF, Shin Bet confirm killing of senior Hamas Nukhba commander
According to a joint statement, al-Baqin served as the deputy commander of the Nukhba company in Hamas's central Jabaliya battalion.
The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) attacked and eliminated the terrorist Abdullah Saeed Abd al-Baqin, who served as deputy commander of the Nukhba Company in the Central Jabalia Battalion of the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza. He was killed in an operation carried out on August 7.
Abdel Begin raided the territory of the State of Israel in the massacre of October 7, took part in the raid on the Erez IDF base and participated in the kidnapping of soldiers Ron Sherman, the late Nick Beiser, and Tamir Nimrodi.
Also, during the war he promoted numerous terrorist plots against IDF forces in the region.
THe IDF's expanded operation in Gaza
This comes after Palestinians in Gaza reported the heaviest bombardments in weeks on Monday in areas east of Gaza City, just hours after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he expected to complete a new expanded offensive in the enclave 'fairly quickly.'
IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir said on Monday, 'We are at the start of a new stage in the fighting in Gaza. We will do everything to protect the hostages and bring them home.'
