1 2 Kanpur: In the flood-affected villages of Ghatampur Tehsil under Kanpur Nagar, conditions are rapidly returning to normal. Following the instructions of district magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh and the supervision of ADM (Finance and Revenue)/ Disaster in-charge Vivek Chaturvedi, relief and rehabilitation work is in full swing in the Ghatampur area. The administration is providing all possible assistance to the flood-affected families. The revenue department, led by SDM Abhichal Pratap Singh, along with in-charge tehsildar Ankita Pathak, two deputy tehsildars, revenue inspectors, collection amin, and a team of two dozen lekhpals, is actively working in the field. The administration is distributing relief kits to flood victims as per the standards set by the government. On Tuesday, in Katri village, MLA Saroj Kuril and in-charge tehsildar distributed relief kits to hundreds of families. The block development officer has assigned responsibilities to 12 team leaders and over 50 sanitation workers. Fogging is also being conducted continuously. Mobile health teams from the health department are stationed in the villages. On Tuesday, 193 people were given treatment by doctors, and a total of 1,072 patients were given medical consultation. Besides treatment for viral fever, colds, coughs, and stomach ailments, ORS and chlorine tablets are being distributed. Medical in-charge Pawan Sachan stated that there is no shortage of medicines, and two ambulances are deployed at number 108. Electricity supply in the area has been restored. People have been advised to maintain a distance from electric poles and exposed wires, especially in damp areas. The administration has urged villagers to be cautious of venomous creatures. The medical superintendent has been instructed to ensure availability of sufficient anti-venom and other medicines. No untoward incidents have been reported so far. The block education officer has been instructed to resume classes only in safe buildings. SDM Ghatampur Abhichal Pratap Singh said that the flood waters have receded from residential areas. "All necessary measures are being taken to prevent silt, mud, and infections. "The situation is completely under control," said Singh.

1 2 Kanpur: Rescue and relief work continued in flood affected villages near Yamuna in Ghatampur tehsil. District magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh and additional district magistrate, on Sunday, finance and revenue, supervised the administrative team on location. Sub-divisional magistrate Abhichal Pratap Singh conducted an inspection of the affected villages with the flood PAC team at approximately 10am, assessing the arrangements. Officials reported that community kitchens distributed meals to affected families in Katri, Katar, Gadatha, Hardouli, and Mahuapurwa. The sub-divisional magistrate accompanied MLA Saroj Kuril during visits to Gadatha and Katri villages. The MLA distributed relief supplies in the village by a motorboat. He provided sweets and biscuits to children, and checked on residents' conditions. Several families were also provided items for protection from mosquitoes. Meanwhile, the Yamuna's water level showed a steady decline. The irrigation department provided regular updates to the public. In Gadatha village water level has dipped by two metres. Skilled personnel remain engaged in rescue and relief activities. Sub-divisional magistrate Abhichal Pratap Singh urged affected families to keep children away from deep water, pits, or stagnant water. He emphasised special attention for elderly and disabled individuals, advised against entering waterlogged areas without protection, and requested immediate notification to authorities when necessary.
