Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 vs Z Fold 7: Major differences we expect to see
Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 7 has allegedly been spotted again in synthetic benchmarks. This time, the device was reportedly seen in a Geekbench listing spotted by tipster Abhishek Yadav on X. The listing reveals a Samsung device featuring the Exynos 2500 chip. It scored a single-core score of 2012 and a multi-core score of 7563. The Geekbench listing also reveals CPU details, with one core at 3.3 GHz, two cores at 2.75 GHz, five cores at 2.36 GHz, and two cores at 1.8 GHz, making for a deca-core processor. The RAM is listed as 10.68 GB, which could mean 12 GB of RAM will be present, along with Android 16. If this does turn out to be true, it would make for an interesting comparison to the Z Fold 7, which is expected to be the other foldable launched this year by Samsung, and is anticipated to be a traditional-style foldable, instead of a clamshell-style foldable like the Z Flip 7. If the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 does debut with the Exynos 2500 or 2400, it would be a big difference compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, which is reportedly expected to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the current Qualcomm flagship. Moreover, it could feature Samsung's tuning and be a custom Snapdragon for Galaxy chipset, similar to what other Galaxy models this year, including the S25 Ultra, are expected to pack. However, based on the benchmark scores, the phone may not be as powerful as the Z Fold 7. Another set of differences could be the presence of a telephoto camera with the Z Fold 7. Samsung has not included a telephoto camera in its clamshell-style foldables yet, and the renders that have leaked so far do reveal that the Z Flip 7 may continue to ship with a dual-camera setup, one of which could be a wide camera and the other an ultra-wide shooter. It is also being hinted that the Z Fold 7 could double down on being thin, so that is something Samsung could be aiming for. Having said that, Samsung could always revert to its previous strategy and launch the device with region-specific hardware, meaning the Exynos 2500 for some regions and the Snapdragon 8 Elite for others, as has also been hinted in reports. Therefore, this is worth keeping in mind. Both the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are reportedly expected to launch in the month of July at Samsung Galaxy Unpacked. However, there has been no official word from Samsung, so this information should be taken with a pinch of salt. However, what is interesting is that over the past few years, Samsung has indeed launched its new foldables in July or August, so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary to expect the new foldables to hit the market in July or August this year too.

Galaxy Z Flip7's Exynos 2500 chipset gets benchmarked, here are the results
Samsung is now rumored to be using the delayed Exynos 2500 chipset for the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip7 smartphone. And a benchmark run of a prototype, bearing the model number SM-F766U, has been spotted in the Geekbench database. That's interesting since that model number belongs to the version headed to the US, so it seems very likely that the Flip7 will use the Exynos 2500 all over the world. The benchmark gives us an idea of what to expect, performance-wise, from the SoC that was meant to be in the Galaxy S25 family but ended up being replaced with the Snapdragon 8 Elite due to yield issues. Let's just outright say it: it's definitely not up there with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 SM-F766U with Exynos 2500 runs on Exynos 25001 Core @ 3.30 GHz2 Cores @ 2.75 GHz5 Cores @ 2.36 GHz2 Cores @ 1.80 GHz🎮 Samsung Xclipse 950 GPU🍭 Android 16- 12GB RAMScoresSingle-core: 2012 Multi-core: 7563… — Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) May 26, 2025 The Flip7 prototype managed a 2,012 single-core score and a 7,563 multi-core score, which is more in line with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 than its successor. And when we take a look at the CPU configuration, it starts to make sense - this chip has a ten-core CPU, with one Cortex-X925 core clocked at up to 3.3 GHz, two Cortex-A725 cores clocked at up to 2.75 GHz, five Cortex-A725 cores clocked at up to 2.36 GHz, and two Cortex-A520 cores clocked at up to 1.8 GHz. The clocks are much lower on this chip than on its competitors from Qualcomm, MediaTek, and even Xiaomi. We're not sure whether that's a specific setup for this device, given how it's a foldable and won't be great at heat dissipation, or if this is the standard Exynos 2500 configuration. Anyway, the Flip7 will launch running Android 16 with One UI 8 on top, and will have 12GB of RAM, according to the Geekbench database. It's expected to be introduced in early July alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7.

Man arrested in Varanasi for selling trucks to scrap dealers with fake documents
Varanasi: The Sonbhadra police arrested a 28-year-old man from Madhya Pradesh's Niwari district for allegedly selling trucks to scrap dealers with fake registration documents. The accused, Abhishek Yadav, would book trucks from owners through brokers, claiming to rent them, and then sell the vehicles for profit. The police discovered that he had sold 20 trucks worth Rs 4 crore from Jhansi, Kanpur and Prayagraj. Yadav was arrested from Avai Markundi village and sent to jail after being produced in court. The police investigation began after receiving multiple complaints about missing trucks and suspicious booking agents. The probe led to Yadav, who was found to be contacting truck owners through Facebook brokers in various districts. Yadav would offer higher-than-standard rental rates and bribe the brokers to gain the owners' trust. The brokers, in turn, would convince the truck owners to rent out their vehicles, unaware of Yadav's true intentions. After paying half of the rental amount to the vehicle owner on the spot, Yadav used to possess the trucks, said the CO, adding that later he used to sell the trucks to scrap dealers with fake registration documents. Among the trucks sold by Yadav, two trucks belonged to Rohan Yadav from Jhansi district, two trucks belonged to Shailendra Yadav from Prayagraj, one truck belonged to Santosh Yadav from Sonbhadra, four trucks belonged to Rahul Yadav from Sonbhadra, seven trucks belonged to Surendra Kumar Yadav from Bhognipur, Kanpur Dehat district, and three trucks belonged to Rajkumar Patel from Sidhi, MP. The trucks were sold to a scrap dealer named Shafiq alias Chakki, a resident of Tekanaka Bhandara in Nagpur, against the payment of Rs 5 lakhs each.

Probe begins in U.P.'s Pilibhit into ‘bids' to convert Sikhs to Christianity
Authorities in Uttar Pradesh's Pilibhit district have started a probe into allegations that around 3,000 Sikhs living in villages near the India-Nepal border have been converted to Christianity through coercion, inducements, and false promises, officials said. The issue, raised by the All-India Sikh-Punjabi Welfare Council when a delegation of it met Pilibhit DM Sanjay Kumar Singh on Friday, has sparked concerns about internal security, with local Sikh leaders pointing to foreign agencies allegedly operating through Nepal as potential orchestrators of the conversions. On May 13, an FIR was registered against eight named and several unknown accused at the Hazara police station on charges of illegal conversion. DM Sanjay Kumar Singh said: 'The SDM of Puranpur is conducting a detailed probe alongside the district police,' Singh said, adding that 'allegations of inducements linked to government schemes remain unconfirmed'. Pilibhit SP Abhishek Yadav confirmed that a recent complaint alleging pressure to convert is under investigation. Harpal Singh Jaggi, state president of All India Sikh Punjabi Welfare Council and acting president of Lucknow Gurdwara Management Committee, alleged that Nepali pastors have been actively facilitating conversions in border villages such as Bailha, Tatarganj, and Bamanpur Bhagirath since 2020. These villages have a combined population exceeding 20,000. 'They are enticing people through temptation, superstition and false promises to cure ailments,' Jaggi alleged, adding that a list of 160 families allegedly converted has been submitted to DM Sanjay Kumar Singh and SP Abhishek Yadav. He also claimed that a Gurmat Samagam held in February in Bailha saw 180 families reconverting to Sikhism. Local Sikh leaders claim that poverty and lack of education are the key factors making villagers vulnerable to such inducements. The victims, who have not received the promised benefits, are demanding action against the accused, but no arrests have been made so far.
