Malavika Jayaram on staying away from films - 'marriage was not the reason'; calls father-son duo a ‘Special Magic'
(Picture Courtesy: Facebook) Malavika Jayaram, daughter of veteran actor Jayaram and sister of actor Kalidas Jayaram , has clarified why she never pursued a career in films, despite belonging to one of Malayalam cinema 's most celebrated families. Speaking at the muhurat pooja ceremony of her father's upcoming film 'Aashakal Aayiram', where Jayaram and Kalidas will share screen space after a long gap, Malavika candidly addressed questions about her absence from cinema. 'not because of marriage' Malavika made it clear that marriage was never the reason behind her decision to stay away from acting. 'I have never thought about acting in films. It's not because I got married that I didn't act. Even before marriage, I never entered films. So, after marriage too, I haven't thought of it that way,' she said. Though she chose not to follow in her father and brother's footsteps, Malavika has carved her own path in modeling and academics. She pursued a master's degree in Sports Management from the UK. Haldi pictures of Jayaram's daughter takes the social media by storm watching Jayaram and Kalidas together Reflecting on her father and brother sharing screen space in 'Aashakal Aayiram', Malavika expressed pride and joy. 'Since both Appa (father) and Kannan (Kalidas) are acting together, I feel there's no need for me to step in. Even at home, they share a great combination,' she said. She recalled the 2003 film 'Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum', where Jayaram and a young Kalidas acted together. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Gleiten Sie in Ihre finanzielle Zukunft eToro Click Here Undo 'Watching them together even now gives me the same vibe as back then. When these two distinct personalities come together, there's a special magic,' she shared. Malavika attended the event with her husband Navaneeth, a Chartered Accountant based in the UK. On the other hand, veteran actor Jayaram made his massive comeback in Mollywood with the superhit film 'Abraham Ozler' which was directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. Backed by Sree Gokulam Movies banner, the upcoming film will be a mega-budget mass entertainer, mounted on a grand scale. 'Look up at the sky and believe' - Unni Mukundan Taking to Instagram, Unni Mukundan, fresh off the success of 'Marco', expressed his emotional connection to the project. Unni Mukundan's post read, 'The kid in me grew up believing in legends. Drawn to stories of courage, sacrifice, and magic. I found my heroes not just in books, movies, folk stories, tiny action figures but also in my dreams. Growing up in the era of superheroes, often dismissed as mythical, make-believe, or too far-fetched. I ended up being a thorough day dreamer. For me these SuperHeroes were hope in motion. They made me feel Heroic. Their act of heroism mirrored in my dreams. That kid, never really grew up. And more importantly, he never gave up dreaming. Today, he takes a quiet, proud step forward, to tell a story, he's carried in his heart for years.' He further wrote, 'Yep, I'm directing my first feature film. A superhero story. One that's my own. It's a dream taking shape — built with love, wonder, and everything that once made me look up at the sky and believe that the sky isn't the limit.' Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Co-producers for the film are V C Praveen and Baiju Gopalan, while Krishnamoorthy serves as the executive producer. Unni Mukundan's work front After the success of the most-violent film 'Marco', Unni Mukundan impressed the family audiences with the film 'Get Set Baby' which earned 3 star rating from ETimes with an official review that read, 'Animation plays a strong visual role, both at the beginning and in the end credits. Unni is charming as Arjun, effectively portraying the shifts in his character, though some dialogues feel slightly awkward. Nikhila, for a change, gets to play a cheerful role, smiling more than usual, and she handles it with poise. The supporting cast does a great job elevating the story, despite a few misses. Light-hearted jokes are sprinkled throughout, working in some places but falling flat in others. A random Tovino Thomas reference is thrown in, earning a chuckle.'
