Malavika Jayaram on staying away from films - 'marriage was not the reason'; calls father-son duo a ‘Special Magic'
Malavika Jayaram, daughter of veteran actor
Jayaram
and sister of actor
Kalidas Jayaram
, has clarified why she never pursued a career in films, despite belonging to one of
Malayalam cinema
's most celebrated families.
Speaking at the muhurat pooja ceremony of her father's upcoming film 'Aashakal Aayiram', where Jayaram and Kalidas will share screen space after a long gap, Malavika candidly addressed questions about her absence from cinema.
'not because of marriage'
Malavika made it clear that marriage was never the reason behind her decision to stay away from acting. 'I have never thought about acting in films. It's not because I got married that I didn't act. Even before marriage, I never entered films. So, after marriage too, I haven't thought of it that way,' she said.
Though she chose not to follow in her father and brother's footsteps, Malavika has carved her own path in modeling and academics.
She pursued a master's degree in Sports Management from the UK.

Reflecting on her father and brother sharing screen space in 'Aashakal Aayiram', Malavika expressed pride and joy. 'Since both Appa (father) and Kannan (Kalidas) are acting together, I feel there's no need for me to step in. Even at home, they share a great combination,' she said.
She recalled the 2003 film 'Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum', where Jayaram and a young Kalidas acted together.

'Watching them together even now gives me the same vibe as back then. You cannot compare Appa and Kannan. They are two different individuals, and their approach towards cinema is also very different. When these two distinct personalities come together, there's a special magic,' she shared.
Malavika attended the event with her husband Navaneeth, a Chartered Accountant based in the UK.
On the other hand, veteran actor Jayaram made his massive comeback in Mollywood with the superhit film 'Abraham Ozler' which was directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas. The actor was last seen in the Tamil film 'Retro'.

Mangal Lakshmi fame Naman Shaw on Mumbai Rains: I had to change routes twice due to flooding
Mumbai continues to battle severe waterlogging following nearly three days of relentless rainfall, actor Naman Shaw who currently plays the lead role of Adit Saxena in the TV show Mangal Lakshmi reacted to the weather, giving fans a peek into his struggle during downpour. He shares, "Mumbai's monsoon rains are a mixed bag for me - I love the romance of it, but water logging makes commuting a challenge." He continued, "Yesterday, I had to change routes twice due to flooding. Locals have learned to adapt by leaving early, which helps. Luckily, my place is nearby, so I navigated home without much trouble. However, some colleagues faced a tougher time, with a few having to take shelter in a nearby hotel due to unsafe travel conditions. My thoughts are with the daily wage crew members who commute from far-off areas by train. When trains aren't running, it's tough for them. Thankfully, the production team stepped in to provide food and accommodations on set, which was a huge relief." As not everyone is privileged to escape, Naman seemed concerned about the unprivileged. He added, 'The monsoon rains in Mumbai can be quite unpredictable, and it's not uncommon for people to get stranded due to flooding. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like NRIs Living In Belarus Are Eligible For INR 2 Lakh Monthly Pension. While the two are busy with their new romance, the rapper is also dealing with a legal mess related her being shot in 2020 by a man named Tory Lanez, whose real name is Daystar Peterson. Even though Daystar Peterson is serving a 10 year prison sentence, his lawyers have brought in a new twist to the story. Megan Thee Stallion's accuser, Daystar Peterson's attorney, brings in a new angle to the infamous 2020 shooting case A few days ago, both of Daystar Peterson's appeals were rejected by the judge. Now, on 18th August, Daystar Peterson's attorney Crystal Morgan, was busy arguing about the DNA evidence found on the gun, as per Billboard. Daystar Peterson's lawyer, Crystal Morgan, said, "It is actually marginally more likely that another member of the African American population touched this gun over Mr. Peterson." According to Billboard, Daystar Peterson's lawyer Crystal Morgan added, 'If our jury had heard that Mr. Peterson maybe one in a million touched the gun, I believe that would have been enough to tip that scale and show reasonable doubt."Back in 2020, the DNA found on the gun which was used to shoot Megan Thee Stallion was reported to be inconclusive. However, there was enough evidence, including controversial text messages that pointed the suspicions towards Daystar Peterson's involvement. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 15 Most Beautiful Women Ever Today's NYC Undo Megan Thee Stallion and Klay Thompson remain publicly silent about the legal mess related to the infamous 2020 shooting incident As for Megan Thee Stallion, the popular rapper has remained silent.
