IOF Escalates Genocide, Entire family killed in Gaza
DaysofPal- The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) escalated crimes of genocide across areas of the Gaza Strip, where Gaza health sources said that the IOF killed an entire family by bombing their tent in Gaza's Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood, killing seven people, including 5 children, early Wednesday.
The Israeli attack struck an encampment near the University College in southwest Gaza City, where families had sought refuge from weeks of intensified bombardment.
Al-Quds Hospital, operated by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, confirmed that rescue teams recovered the bodies of the victims, all from the Abu Hanideq family: Fatima Nimer Abu Hanideq, Ashraf Ahmad Abu Hanideq, Ahmad Zuhair Abu Hanideq, Mona Zuhair Abu Hanideq, Mohammed Zuhair Abu Hanideq, Ali Majed Abu Hanideq, and Ahmad Majed Abu Hanideq.
The latest strike comes as Israeli forces have escalated attacks on southern Gaza City in recent days, using airstrikes, artillery fire, and building demolitions that have left dozens dead and wounded, forcing more residents to flee.
Medical sources said Wednesday's overall death toll across the Gaza Strip had climbed to 12, including five people killed while attempting to collect humanitarian aid.
The war, which has now entered its 677th consecutive day, has devastated Gaza's civilian population.
Israeli bombardments and a blockade preventing food and medicine from entering have targeted children, women, hospitals, ambulances, and journalists.
According to Gaza's Ministry of Health, between October 7, 2023, and August 6, 2025, at least 61,158 Palestinians have been killed and 151,442 wounded in the ongoing Israeli genocide.
Moreover, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs confirmed the figures, while media reports indicate the death toll includes 227 people who died from starvation, among them 103 children.
Human rights organizations have condemned the strikes and blockade as collective punishment, warning of an escalating humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
