Abyusif Drops New Track ‘Reda' Produced by Lil Baba

Cairo's rap heavyweight Abyusif teams up with Lil Baba for a gritty new track that brings the heat back to Egyptian rap. Jun 04, 2025 Egyptian rap titan Abyusif has returned with a hard-hitting new track, 'Reda', produced by none other than Lil Baba, the mastermind behind some of the region's biggest hits. Reda sees both artists tap into the raw energy that defined Abyusif's sound, while bringing in Lil Baba's polished textures. The result is a track that feels both minimal and sharp-edged, anchored by clipped snare and Abyusif's signature delivery. Abyusif moves between paranoia, isolation, and survival with lines like: 'مش بحس غير بأبويا، مش بحس بأي ندم' 'I only feel my father. I don't feel any regret.' The second verse shifts into something even more personal, as he reflects on love lost and brutal self-awareness: 'كنت فاكر إني داخل عمر وسلمى، بس طلع بعد الفراق' 'I thought I was living a rom-com, but it turned out to be post-breakup fallout.' Whether snarling through verses or swerving into unexpected flows, Abyusif proves once again that he's still in a league of his own. Lil Baba's beat holds steady, letting every word land with weight.

Abyusif Drops Surprise EP ‘MSH GNENT L B2R' Ahead of Upcoming Album

The rapper shares four unreleased tracks on Telegram, asserting full control over his narrative and sound. Apr 10, 2025 Abyusif has never played by the rules, but his latest drop takes things even further. Without warning, the Cairo-based rapper released a new EP titled 'مش جنينة البقر ' ('MSH GNENT L B2R') directly to his followers on Telegram. No DSP rollouts, no trailers, no influencer teasers—just a blunt message and four tracks that didn't make the final cut for his upcoming album 'جنينة البقر' ('GNET L B2R'). The drop is minimalist, the intent maximal. The title says it all. These are the tracks not on the album—these are rejected pieces that, in their exclusion, sharpen the edges of what's to come. This isn't about building hype. It's a declaration of intent: raw, unfiltered, and utterly self-directed. Across four tracks, Abyusif plays with form and texture. 'FARAWLA' features layered production by Omar El Taai, Barakat, and Zvla, hinting at a more melodic direction, while 'GHOSTS' barrels forward with claustrophobic urgency, a tight burst of flow over an anxious rhythm. 'LA POIRE', self-produced, draws from the minimalism of Abyusif's earlier days—an uncompromising return to basics. And then there's 'YOQADAM BAREDAN', which swerves from mellow to manic in seconds, capturing the restless energy that defines the entire EP. With 'MSH GNENT L B2R', Abyusif isn't just tossing out leftovers. He's staging a kind of anti-rollout—an act of refusal that simultaneously widens his sonic range and strips things back to the essentials. If this is what didn't make the album, 'جنينة البقر' might just be the most focused and feral version of Abyusif we've seen yet.

Marwan Pablo returns with three new tracks - Music - Arts & Culture

Egyptian rapper Marwan Pablo has released three new tracks—"Bono", "Ghanima", and "Aura"—across the three days of Eid Al-Fitr. The songs have gained traction on YouTube in Egypt and have been well-received across the Arab world, with listeners praising Pablo's lyrical approach and delivery. Lyrically, the tracks explore themes of resilience, self-assurance, and perseverance, reinforcing Pablo's position as a key figure in Egyptian rap. The accompanying music videos, directed by Abanoub Ramsis and shot by cinematographer Kamal Samy, use black-and-white and sepia tones to complement the introspective nature of the music. "Bono", released on 31 March, has amassed over 770,000 views and reached No 3 on YouTube's music trending chart in Egypt. The lyrics focus on Pablo's confidence and determination, with lines addressing detractors and emphasizing the importance of authenticity over chasing trends. Released on 1 April, "Ghanima" continues in a similar vein, with Pablo presenting himself as unfazed by criticism. "I annoy them by being deaf," he raps, framing his approach as one of unwavering focus. The track has garnered 500,000 views and placed fourth on YouTube's trending chart. The most recent release, "Aura", arrived on 2 April and has surpassed 300,000 views, reaching No 7 on YouTube's music rankings. In it, Pablo addresses his growing stature in the rap scene, acknowledging external pressures but maintaining his composure. "They are upset that I am fresh... Every time my name comes up, they get frustrated," he raps. These new releases come as Pablo prepares for his upcoming concert on 10 April at AUC Tahrir Square. They follow two recent EPs—"7OB & KASHAT", a collaboration with Abyusif released in November 2024, and the more experimental PRJKTBLUBEAM, released earlier that year. Both projects followed The Last Piece of Art, Pablo's December 2023 album. Follow us on: Facebook Instagram Whatsapp Short link:

From the SoundCloud Vault: MENA Rap's Lost Files

From the SoundCloud Vault: MENA Rap's Lost Files From Abyusif to Cheb Terro, we curated a list of essential tracks by some of the region's most lauded rappers that remain exclusively on SoundCloud. In its early days, Soundcloud became a vital hub for regional hip-hop, a digital back alley where artists experimented freely, built a cult following, and laid the groundwork for the vibrant rap scene we see today. Before streaming giants dominated, it was the raw, unfiltered space where many rappers first dropped their tracks, often leaving behind a fascinating, and sometimes forgotten, archive. The SceneNoise team dug into that clout era of SoundCloud, compiling a list of essential cuts by some of the region's biggest rappers and some mystery ones, that remain exclusively on the platform, offering a glimpse into the formative years of a diverse and ever-evolving sound.
