SB19, Sarah Geronimo, Matteo Guidicelli recreate iconic 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' scene
The music video for SB19 and Sarah Geronimo's collaboration single, "Umaaligid," is very crime series-coded. And that's why they just had to recreate one of the most famous scenes from "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," along with Sarah's husband, Matteo Guidicelli! On Instagram, SB19 posted a video showing Matteo asking Ken about the identity of a suspect lurking around a crime scene. Ken said he could not remember what they looked like, but he heard their voice singing "I Want It That Way" by Backstreet Boys. Matteo then proceeded to ask the five suspects—Pablo, Justin, Josh, Stell, and Sarah—to sing one by one. He was having so much fun, he eventually sang with them. Then he told suspect no. 5, which happened to be Sarah, to sing. After she did, Ken said she was the suspect. "Pa'nong naging ako?" she quipped, and they all laughed. The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" scene came from Season 5 Episode 17, when Detective Jake Peralta asked a woman who witnessed a murder to identify the suspect from a police lineup. SB19 and Sarah released "Umaaligid" on July 30. They performed it on stage for the first time at the Acer Day 2025 on Saturday at Mall of Asia Arena. —MGP, GMA Integrated News
