Tyson Fury spotted at North East garage in surprise visit from boxing star
Boxing icon Tyson Fury made another headline-grabbing appearance in Teesside this week as he visited Acklam Car Centre in Middlesbrough on Wednesday (April 16).
The former heavyweight champion's return to the dealership was met with excitement from staff and fans alike, many of whom were thrilled to catch a glimpse of the sporting legend.
Acklam Cars, well-known for its celebrity clientele, shared the news of Fury's visit on social media with a post that read: 'A lovely visit from a very special friend at Acklam today - always a pleasure seeing you Tyson."

He's become somewhat of a familiar face at the Middlesbrough dealership, having been spotted there in earlier visits to pick up new wheels.
During a previous stop at the dealership, Acklam Car Centre posted 'the champ has been in town,' prompting a flurry of reactions online. One user commented, 'What a shame we weren't there today,' while another joked, 'Need to hope he has no problems with his cars.'

Fury's visit comes at a time when speculation over his boxing future continues to swirl.
Following two consecutive defeats to Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk in 2024, the 36-year-old Brit announced his retirement from the sport in January.
His promoter, Bob Arum, recently poured cold water on comeback hopes, telling BBC's 5 Live Boxing podcast: 'If I were a betting man, I would say he will never fight again.
"Marvin Hagler had an expression – 'a rich guy who goes to bed wearing silk pyjamas doesn't get up in the morning to do road work.'
"Tyson I don't think wants to get up in the morning and do road work and go through the experience of having to train when economically he doesn't have to do it any more.'
However, not everyone is convinced Fury has hung up the gloves for good.

His recent gym sessions and public appearances have sparked rumours of a possible comeback, including a long-awaited showdown with Anthony Joshua.
Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, told the BBC last week: 'The next decision for AJ is going to be important. I hope it's Tyson Fury – we'll see what the boxing gods allow.
"This is the kind of fight that probably gets made over a DM between the two, or a text or a call. It's like, 'look, do you fancy it?' That's it. And then, bang, it's done.'
Until then, fans in Teesside are more than happy to welcome Fury any time he chooses to drop by.
Whether he's trading punches or picking up a new set of wheels, one thing's for certain – Tyson Fury knows how to make an entrance.
