Punters are rallying around Baraqiel to make a winning return today, with the gelding currently holding favouritism at $3.30 ahead of emerging type Bridal Waltz ($5.50) and New York Lustre ($6.00).
Today's Caulfield card also sees winter star Jimmy The Bear go about his business, tackling the 2400m for the first time at rock bottom odds.
The grand galloper has been racing in rarefied air in recent months, his six runs this time in returning four wins and two seconds.
At tomato sauce odds for today's assignment, he's expected to make light work of the 2400m journey.
