Emmerdale star Isabel Hodgins reveals wedding day secrets – as it's confirmed her ‘affair partner' attended
EMMERDALE actress Isabel Hodgins has revealed her wedding day secrets as she gushed over her "brilliant" day. The ITV screen star said I Do to partner Adam Whitehead in a stunning ceremony in Manchester, after it was confirmed her "affair partner" made the guest list. 6 6 6 On-screen, Isabel, 31, has played Emmerdale 's Victoria Sugden since 2006 - and the beauty confirmed a host of her co-stars had witnessed their nuptials at the city's Castlefield Rooms last month. She let slip details of her special day a month on, including the 63-strong guest list, how she did her own speech and that Adam even forgot her name during the vows. In 2023, Isabel announced she was engaged to her boyfriend. And two years later they made it down the aisle, but it wasn't without its stresses. She told MirrorOnline: "I know I'm an actor but I don't like being the centre of attention. A wedding's quite stressful, so even before it I was over it. "Then the day came and I was like, 'we'll just go with the flow'. It was perfect. "I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it, how full my heart was. It was just brilliant." Talking of the support of her soap co-stars she said Eden Taylor Draper was a bridesmaid while Danny Miller, Mark Jordon, Laura Norton, Jeff Hordley and Zoë Henry were all in attendance. Isabel, who is hoping to become pregnant soon, added to the publication: "I've known them for so long, Laura's like a sister to me. Eden was my bridesmaid. "They're just all such special, beautiful people. I said in my speech that me and Adam hadn't been going out for very long and I was telling Zoë about him and she was like, 'I've got a feeling you're going to marry this man.' "She just knew." Danny's spot on the guest list comes after the pair's previous rumoured affair. It came after his ex, Hollyoaks star Kirsty-Leigh Porter discovered that Danny had reportedly been having a fling with his Emmerdale co-star Isabel behind her back. At the time, Isabel was dating their mutual co-star Michael Parr, who played bad boy Ross Barton. Kirsty found message exchanges between Danny and Isabel and it allegedly caused tension on set too. We previously reported: 'Isabel and Danny thought they could keep their romance secret but when Kirsty-Leigh saw the texts on his phone, the game was up. She was furious." Clearly there has been a lot of water under the bridge since, with the pair both in happy new relationships. Isabel and Adam went Instagram official in 2022. 6 6 6

An Emmerdale star has opened up on the details of her 'perfect' fairytale wedding, including her famous co-star guests and non-traditional choices. Actress Isabel Hodgins, 31, who plays Victoria Sugden on the ITV soap, tied the knot with her partner Adam Whitehead, who's a teacher, in April. The couple enjoyed their stunning big day at the Castlefield Rooms in Manchester, surrounded by family and friends. In a new interview with The Mirror, the new bride shared details of her day and revealed that co-star Eden Taylor Draper was a bridesmaid, alongside as a school friend and her mum. She said: 'I've known them for so long, Laura's like a sister to me. Eden was my bridesmaid. They're just all such special, beautiful people. 'I said in my speech that me and Adam hadn't been going out for very long and I was telling Zoë [Henry] about him and she was like, 'I've got a feeling you're going to marry this man.' She just knew.'' Other Emmerdale guests included Danny Miller, Mark Jordon, Laura Norton and Jeff Hordley, who are like family after nineteen years working on the show. Isabel looked incredible in a chic satin strapless dress with a sweetheart neckline from Australian designer Sassi Holford. She wore her long brunette locks in a sleek updo, with her husband gushing that he 'loved it' when she met him at the end of the aisle. Casting traiditons aside, Isabel decided to do a speech at the wedding as she didn't want it to be down to men only. She admitted: 'It bothers me that it's just the men, so I was like, 'I'll absolutely be speaking,' to which Adam added: 'I was proud she wanted to do her own speech,' he says. 'Power to the women.''. The gym-obsessed duo also ditched booze on the big day as Isabel hasn't drunk alcohol in five years and Adam followed suit after meeting her. It's a choice she's happy with as it means they got to remember everything from their big day - from their first dance to the orchestral version of I Could Get Used To This by Becky Hill to walking down the aisle to Perfect For Me by Bradley Marshall. The ceremony was attended by 63 guests who watched as Adam got emotional as he saw his stunning bride at the end of the aisle - and he was so nervous, he forgot his own name. The couple, who met at the gym, walked out to Coldplay's A Sky Full Of Stars, with the rest of the day consisting of a meal, speeches, and of course a party to celebrate which went on until midnight. Isabel shared snaps from the break on her Instagram, as she quipped: 'What a lovely start to married life'. Isabel and Adam got engaged in November 2023 and the actress even posted a video of the moment he popped the question. In the clip, the couple are seen having dinner as Adam puts the ring on Isabel's finger and she leans over the table to give him a kiss. Alongside the post, the soap star wrote: 'The most incredible night of my life. I said yes to marrying my best friend. 'My kind, sweet, patient and generous perfect person. I can't wait to spend forever with you.' Isabel received several congratulatory messages including from Adam's mother who wrote: 'Congratulations to you both… our future daughter in law.. we love you'. Her Emmerdale co-star Rosie Bentham wrote: 'Stop it !!!!!!!! ✨' while fellow Emmerdale star Laura Norton added: 'Unbelievable. Best news. 30s looking good.' Isabel, who has been on Emmerdale since 2006, went Instagram official with Adam in December 2022 after they met aged 25 and 28. Prior to her relationship with Adam, the actress was in a relationship with her former co-star Michael Parr for four years. The pair parted ways towards the end of 2018 following Michael's decision to quit Emmerdale and try to crack America. Michael joined the ITV soap in 2013, where he took the role of Ross Barton, while Isabel has featured on the show as Victoria Sugden since she was just 12.
