Adi Srinivas seeks funds for devpt works in Vemulawada
Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Adi Srinivas met Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at his residence in Hyderabad on Tuesday and submitted a memorandum seeking allocation of funds for several development works in his constituency. The Chief Minister responded immediately and directed the concerned officials to release the required funds. Srinivas said that Rs 10 crore had already been sanctioned for the construction of the right and left canals of the Kalikota Sooramma reservoir in Kathalapur, Medipalli and Bheemaram mandals, which is prone to flooding. 'If additional funds are released, the works can be completed, enabling irrigation for 43,000 acres,' he noted, adding that CM Revanth Reddy had personally inspected the project during his tenure as TPCC president. He further informed the CM that forest clearances had been obtained for the construction of the Chandurthi–Motkaravupeta road and that the State government had already sanctioned over Rs 7 crore for the project. 'An additional Rs 10 crore would help complete the work, which will greatly improve connectivity between villages,' he pointed out. Highlighting the urgent need for bridges over Moolavagu and Pentivagu streams in Konaraopet mandal, Srinivas proposed construction of bridges at Bausaipet–Venkatraopet, Mamidipelli–Nizamabad, Vattimalla–Nimmapelli and Venkatraopet–Kondapur. The CM assured that these would be taken up under the HAM (Hybrid Annuity Model) scheme. 'I have always prioritised mobilising funds for the welfare of my constituency. With the CM's assurance, the works are expected to gain momentum,' Srinivas stated.

Adi Srinivas lost thrice to him before winning the election in 2023 on a Congress ticket. The central government, which inquired into the issue, concluded that Chennamaneni Ramesh was supposed to stay in India for a specified period after returning to India from Germany before applying for Indian citizenship. He did not fulfil this mandatory stay in India and suppressed this fact in the application format and chose to mislead the officials instead. The central probe identified this and suspended his Indian citizenship because, despite being a legislator, he chose to defend his mistake instead of admitting the same. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Le Bitcoin Franchit la Barre des 90 000$ ! Chennamaneni Ramesh should not be referred as ex-MLA as he is not Indian: Adi Srinivas
Chennamaneni Ramesh should not be referred to as ex-MLA since he was not Indian citizen, when he won the Vemulawada Assembly elections in the past, said Congress Whip Adi Srinivas. Speaking with mediapersons at Telangana High Court after receiving a cheque for ₹ 25 lakh, as part of the fine amount imposed on Chennamaneni Ramesh by Telangana High Court, Mr. Srinivas said he had been fighting to prove that Ramesh was not an Indian citizen, which was finally upheld by the HC. On December 9, 2024, the HC delivered a verdict declaring that Mr. Ramesh was a German citizen and had no Indian citizenship. Mr. Ramesh was elected four times as MLA from Vemulawada. In 2009 and 2010 by-elections, he won on a Telugu Desam ticket and in 2014 and 2018 on BRS ticket. Adi Srinivas lost thrice to him before winning the election in 2023 on Congress ticket. Adi Srinivas had been claiming that Mr. Ramesh was not Indian citizen. The verdict against Mr. Ramesh was delivered by Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy in a writ petition filed by him challenging the Union government's decision declaring him a German citizen. 'I would have become MLA a decade ago if Ramesh's claims of being Indian citizen were proved false,' Mr. Srinivas said. He said that Ramesh's case could be the first of its kind in the world where he became MLA without being citizen of the country. Mr. Srinivas said that he had requested the State government to probe into the false claims of Ramesh and initiate criminal action. He said that he would approach the HC to recover the salaries and other financial benefits received by Mr. Ramesh as legislator.
