East Hants man charged with kidnapping after child grabbed
An East Hants, N.S., man has been charged with five offences — including kidnapping — after a child was grabbed in Admiral Rock on Monday afternoon. An abduction was reported to the police at 3:20 p.m. AT on Mosher Road, according to an RCMP news release. The RCMP said two children were riding their bicycles when a man standing at the end of a driveway flagged them down. The man, who police said did not know the children, allegedly grabbed one of the kids by the arm, entered a nearby home with the child, exposed himself and uttered threats. The child screamed and ran out of the home to get help. The two children were not physically injured, police said. Their ages were not released. A 34-year-old man from Admiral Rock has been charged with kidnapping, invitation to sexual touching, assault, uttering threats and indecent act (exposure). Admiral Rock is a small community about 40 kilometres southwest of Truro.

N.S. man charged with sex offences after allegedly grabbing child, exposing himself

East Hants District RCMP responded to a report of an abduction on Mosher Road Monday afternoon. Police say two children were riding their bicycles when a man, who was standing at the end of a driveway, flagged them down. 'The man, whom the children did not know, grabbed one of them by the arm, entered the nearby residence with the child, exposed himself, and uttered threats,' said the RCMP in a news release Tuesday. The child screamed and ran out of the home to get help, according to the release. The two children were not physically injured. Officers went to the home where the alleged incident occurred and arrested the man.
