‘Instant' Karma: Stereolab Are Back With New Album
Following their 2019 live reunion after a 10-year break, Stereolab finally have new music to share. The beloved U.K. group will release Instant Holograms on Metal Film on May 23 through Duophonic/Warp, with first single 'Aerial Troubles' out now in tandem with a Laurent Askienazy-directed video. That song was sent as a surprise seven-inch vinyl single to fans last week in tandem with a word search loaded with details about Instant Holograms. The album is Stereolab's first of all-new material since 2008's Chemical Chords, although a second project featuring songs from those sessions, Not Music, was released in 2010. A North American leg gets underway Sept. 13 in Nashville and runs through Nov. 2 in Dallas. Shows in Latin America and the U.K. will round out the year.
