Ahtisa Manalo says 'no updates or changes' yet on Miss Universe 2025 venue
Ahtisa Manalo has confirmed that no changes have been made so far regarding the venue of the upcoming Miss Universe 2025. In an interview with GMA News Online on the sidelines of GMA Gala 2025, the reigning Miss Universe Philippines said she remains rigorous in her preparations amid the tensions between Thailand and Cambodia. Thailand was announced to be the host country for the upcoming pageant in February. But last month, questions were raised about the venue after Thailand and Cambodia exchanged heavy artillery fire. 'It is still in Thailand so far," Ahtisa said. "That's all we know. We don't know—there are no any other updates yet or any changes, so that's a good thing." As her departure date approaches, Ahtisa emphasized her commitment to do her best to be ready for the stage. 'Few months na lang aalis na ako. So I'm taking every chance that I get para makapag-prepare talaga ako,' Ahtisa said. On Monday, preliminary talks between Thailand and Cambodia defense officials started after the two sides agreed on a ceasefire. Ahtisa was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2025 in May. Ahtisa Manalo gives off queenly vibes on Mega magazine's June cover
Ahtisa Manalo is a total queen on the June cover of Mega magazine. On Instagram, the fashion magazine shared the cover of their Trendsetters And Trailblazers issue where they honor the personalities "who define what's next and dare to do what hasn't been done." In the cover photo taken by photographer Mark Ducay, the Miss Universe Philippines 2025 donned a pink sculptural gown by Jaggy Glarino and jewelry pieces from Jewelmer. 'She fell—but she rose poised like royalty,' Mega wrote in the caption. 'Midway through her evening gown walk at Miss Universe Philippines 2025, Ahtisa Manalo hit the floor with just one instinct: get up. And when she did, the cheers shook the room. What could've broken her became the very moment she claimed the crown. A queen was born,' the magazine added. According to Mega, the cover story will follow the rise, fall, and reign of Ahtisa. After three attempts, the beauty queen from Quezon Province was finally crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2025 early this May. Ahtisa Manalo to represent PH in Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand
Ahtisa Manalo of Quezon Province has been crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2025 and will represent the country in the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand this November. She won the national title, beating 65 other candidates in the finals of the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) pageant. Manalo becomes the sixth winner under the Miss Universe Philippines organization, which is headed by Ariella Arida, Miss Universe 2013 third runner-up. She takes over from Chelsea Manalo, who made history last year as the first-ever Miss Universe Asia during the international pageant held in Mexico. This is not Ahtisa Manalo's first time to compete internationally. She previously joined Miss Cosmo, where she landed in the Top 10, and was also first runner-up at Miss International 2018. Manalo, a returning candidate and crowd favorite, also finished second runner-up in last year's MUPH pageant. The Philippines remains known as a beauty pageant powerhouse with four Miss Universe titleholders to date.
