Touching tributes left to Celtic-daft Ayrshire teen Aiden McLuckie after tragic death
A number of touching tributes have been left to 14-year-old Aiden McLuckie, who was a huge Celtic supporter, after he died last week. Tributes have been left to teenager Aiden McLuckie at the scene of his tragic death in Ayrshire last week. Celtic supporter Aiden, 14, from Hurlford, died on Wednesday, July 16, after he was involved in an incident on the A76 near Bargower, between Kilmarnock and Mauchline. Celtic shirts and scarves have been hung along the side of the bridge over the Cessnock Water alongside flowers in memory of the teenager. A number include toughing tributes from family, friends and others for 14-year-old Aiden. Emergency services were called to the bridge near Bargower shortly after 5pm last Wednesday following a crash involving Aiden and a Vauxhall Corsa. He was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Last week, Aiden's dad David described him as the "most loyal, loving wee guy". A fundraiser set up in Aiden's memory has raised more than £10,000. Following the incident, Sergeant Brian Simpson from Road Policing said: 'Our thoughts remain with Aiden's family at this extremely difficult time, and we are providing them with specialist support as our enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances. 'I would again appeal to anyone with information to come forward. We are keen to speak to anyone who was driving in the area at the time and ask if anyone has dash-cam footage to please contact us.' Teenage boy dies in fatal Hurlford crash as police make appeal
Emergency services rushed to the scene after being called but the teenage pedestrian, named as local boy Aiden McLuckie, was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident happened at the bridge over Cessnock Water at around 5.10pm on Wednesday, July 16. Police are now appealing for information after the road was closed for several hours to allow an investigation to take place. The car involved was a Vauxhall Corse and the driver and his two passengers were checked over by paramedics but did not require hospital treatment. ‘Forever 14' Loved ones raise £4,000 for family of Celtic fan schoolboy killed in Ayrshire crash

A fundraiser to help the family of a 14-year-old boy who died in a horror crash on a bridge in Ayrshire has raised nearly £4,000 in less than 24 hours. Aiden McLuckie was a pedestrian on the bridge over Cessnock Water on the A76 near Hurlford when he was hit by a Vauxhall Corsa at around 5.10pm on Wednesday, July 16. Emergency crews rushed to the incident but Celtic fan Aiden was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Locals have now rallied around Aiden's heartbroken family to help them with unexpected funeral costs. Ayrshire business Dash Claims donated £500 to the cause and encouraged others to help. They wrote: "No young family should ever have to go through this heartbreak!" While money from The Thack Inn's quiz night has also been donated from Ayrshire DJs. Yvonne Devlin who started the fundraiser wrote: "We are heartbroken by the sudden passing of Aiden, following the tragic incident that happened yesterday. "David, Olivia and family have been absolutely devastated by this event and are looking for a wee bit support anything big or small is appreciated, thanks. Forever 14. R.I.P wee man." Aiden's step-mum Olivia McLuckie broke the news of his passing to the local community in a heart-wrenching post on social media on Thursday. She said: "I can't believe I'm actually have to write this but we just wanted to let people know that our boy Aiden sadly passed away last night due to tragic accident. "He will be sorely missed. Our family is broken right now and would like some time to process this." The popular teenager was understood to have spent the day out playing football with pals before the tragedy unfolded. Tributes have poured out to teen who has been described as a "lovely boy". Minty Sloan said: "Absolutely heartbreaking, thoughts with the whole family, RIP aiden #forever14 wee man."
