The 32-year-old officer from the Transport Unit at Gua Musang district police headquarters (IPD) reduced his weight from 105.8kg to 78kg. What stands out most about his journey is that his transformation didn't rely on slimming supplements or expensive gym memberships. Instead, Aiman simply committed to a disciplined eating plan, eliminating rice and sugary drinks and maintaining a daily habit of brisk walking. 'I had to change my lifestyle because being a police officer isn't an easy job. "You need to be in top form. I gave up rice completely, stopped drinking sweet beverages, and only drank plain water,' he said after the programme's closing ceremony, held at the Kelantan Police Headquarters recently. The event was officiated by Kelantan deputy police chief Deputy Commissioner Mohd Ali Tamby. Aiman was named the program's top performer, having brought his Body Mass Index (BMI) down from 37.9 to 28 over the course of the challenge, which ran from November last year to April this year. He said his decision to take action was driven by health concerns that began affecting his work, including frequent shortness of breath during duties outside the office. 'This wasn't about looking good, it was about doing my job properly and fulfilling my responsibilities to the force and the community. I never thought I'd lose almost 28kg,' he said. The weight loss programme involved 354 police personnel, officers and administrative staff from the police force in Kelantan, all of whom had been classified as obese following initial health checks.
