Mukah records highest API in the country
The Air Pollutant Index (API) in Mukah, Sarawak, recorded an unhealthy level as of 3pm yesterday, with a reading of 154 – the highest in both the state and the country.
API readings between 101 and 200 are categorised as unhealthy and may pose health risks to children, the elderly and individuals with respiratory conditions.
Other parts of Sarawak recorded moderate air quality, according to the Environment Department's Air Pollutant Index Management System (Apims), Bernama reported.
