Al-Jarallah receives Iraqi Ambassador and media personality Hamid Abdullah
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF of the Arab Times and Al- Seyassah newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah met with Iraqi Ambassador to Kuwait Al-Munhal Al-Safi and media personality Dr. Hamid Abdullah at his residence on Wednesday. Writer Sami Al-Nisf, retired Major General (retd) Faisal Al-Jazzaf and Saud Al-Farhan also attended the meeting. Al-Jarallah welcomed the guests and exchanged friendly conversations. They discussed a number of media and cultural issues, in addition to some general affairs and current issues. Al-Jarallah stressed the importance of 'continuing these types of meetings, which contribute to strengthening bridges of communication and exchanging views between media and diplomatic fi gures. These meetings enhance understanding and shared visions, while enriching purposeful and constructive dialogue.'

Strengthening Media Relations: Pakistan's Ambassador Visits Arab Times
KUWAIT CITY, May 27: Dean of Kuwaiti journalism and Editor-in-Chief of the Arab Times and Al-Seyassah newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah met with Ambassador of the Republic of Pakistan to Kuwait Dr. Zafar Iqbal at his office in Dar Al- Seyassah on Tuesday. They discussed ways to strengthen media cooperation, a number of current regional and international issues, and ways to address the media developments. During the meeting, Al-Jarallah emphasized the importance of the media's role in building bridges of communication between peoples. He affirmed the commitment of the Arab Times and Al-Seyassah to continue as a platform for constructive dialogue and media diplomacy, reflecting the strength of Kuwaiti-Pakistani relations. On the other hand, Iqbal praised the pioneering role of the two newspapers, the wise editorial management headed by Al-Jarallah, and their effective role in supporting humanitarian issues and promoting positive dialogue. He said the embassy is keen on strengthening cooperation with Kuwaiti media outlets. Director of Legal Affairs at Dar Al-Seyassah Hamada Al- Amir and Managing Editor of the Arab Times Marlon Aquino Malinao were also present at the meeting.

IOMS praises Kuwait's integration of security and scientific sectors
KUWAIT: The Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (IOMS) has praised Kuwait's model integration of security and scientific institutions, describing it as a commendable example for others to follow. Dr Mohammad Al-Jarallah, Chairperson of the IOMS, affirmed that this synergy reflects a high level of state awareness regarding the importance of supporting scientific endeavors grounded in legal and ethical principles — particularly in light of rapid advancements in genetics and artificial intelligence. His remarks came on Sunday following a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah. During the meeting, Dr Al-Jarallah presented a commemorative shield to Sheikh Fahad in appreciation of the ministry's significant support for the recently held international conference titled 'Genetic Imprinting and Gene Editing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: An Islamic Perspective.' Dr Al-Jarallah commended the Ministry of Interior's pivotal role in ensuring the success of the event, which was organized by the IOMS. He highlighted the active participation of elite cadets and officers from Saad Al-Abdullah Academy, who engaged in in-depth discussions and contributed meaningfully to the sessions. He noted that senior officials from various departments within the ministry also delivered insightful speeches and took part in scientific debates during the conference. The gathering addressed over 50 scientific topics, with particular focus on the applications of artificial intelligence in DNA-related fields. The conference also witnessed the participation of renowned scholars from leading academic institutions, including Al-Azhar University.— KUNA

Al-Jarallah meets Kyrgyz envoy, ex-army officials, Kuwaiti lawyer Dalal Al-Mullah
KUWAIT CITY, May 26: Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editor-in-Chief of the Arab Times and Al-Seyassah newspapers Ahmed Al-Jarallah held several meetings at his office in Dar Al-Seyassah on Sunday. He first met with the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Kuwait Dr. Nurlan Tokobaev. Their discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between the two nations in media, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields to enhance friendly relations. Tokobaev commended the collaboration between his embassy and the Arab Times and Al- Seyassah newspapers, acknowledging the vital role of Kuwaiti media in fostering international understanding. Al-Jarallah welcomed the ambassador, highlighting the strong ties between Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan. He affirmed the dedication of the Kuwaiti media in supporting international cooperation through ethical and responsible reporting. Also present at the meeting were Secretary of the Kyrgyz Embassy Tilek Esen Uulu and Managing Editor of the Arab Times Marlon Aquino Malinao. Subsequently, Al-Jarallah received retired Major General Mohammad Al-Mubarak, accompanied by media personality Dr. Hamid Abdullah and retired Major General Faisal Al-Jazzaf. Their conversation centered on Al-Mubarak's distinguished career; specifically his heroic acts and capture during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. Al-Jarallah lauded Al-Mubarak's bravery and patriotism, stressing the importance of documenting the achievements of national heroes for the future generations. Al-Mubarak expressed his gratitude for the visit and recognized the role of the Kuwaiti press in recording national heroism. Later, Al-Jarallah met with Kuwaiti lawyer Dalal Al- Mullah to discuss legal and public matters. He stressed the significance of upholding justice and promoting legal awareness in society. He praised the contributions of Kuwaiti women in the legal profession, acknowledging Al-Mullah's efforts in defending rights and advancing legal literacy. Director of Legal Affairs Hamada Al-Amir also attended the meeting. He contributed to the discussion regarding the legal framework for media and its function in serving in the interest of the public

Arab Times Editor-in-Chief receives tourism official from Switzerland
KUWAIT CITY, May 20: Dean of Kuwaiti Journalism and Editor-in-Chief of the Arab Times and Al-Seyassah newspapers on Tuesday met in his office Tamara Loffel-Jager, Head of Business Development at Graubünden Ferien in Switzerland. Al-Jarallah welcomed the guest, praising the efforts of Graubünden Ferien in promoting sustainable tourism in Switzerland. He emphasized the importance of strengthening media and tourism cooperation between the two sides, especially in light of Kuwaitis' interest in European tourism in general and Swiss tourism in particular. Also present at the meeting were Managing Editor of the Arab Times, Marlon Aquino Malinao and Managing Editor of Al-Seyassah, Faisal Al-Matni. Loffel-Jager gave a detailed presentation of the most prominent tourism factors that distinguish Graubünden, including hotels, events, cultural and recreational activities, as well as its picturesque nature, local cuisine, and health and recreation programs. She pointed out that the region represents a distinguished destination for visitors from around the world. Graubünden Ferien is the official tourism marketing organization for the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. Its main role is to promote and develop tourism in the region by working with local partners to create and advertise travel experiences and services.
