Saudi, Hong Kong anti-corruption chiefs hold talks in Riyadh
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia's Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority President Mazin Al-Kahmous received Danny Woo, commissioner of the Independent Commission Against Corruption in Hong Kong, and his delegation at the authority's headquarters in Riyadh on Monday. The visit aims to activate the memorandum of understanding signed between the two parties, the Saudi Press Agency reported. Discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Hong Kong in promoting integrity as well as combating transnational corruption. Woo was briefed on the key measures taken by the Saudi authority to promote integrity, reinforce transparency and combat corruption, while Al-Kahmous was introduced to Hong Kong's experience in these areas. On the sidelines of the visit, Al-Kahmous and Woo inaugurated a four-day workshop with experts from both sides.

VIENNA — Saudi Arabia, represented by the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (NAZAHA), participated in the 14th General Meeting of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities (IAACA). During the meeting, Saudi Arabia, represented by NAZAHA Chairman Mazen Al-Kahmous, was elected as a member of the IAACA Executive Committee. This recognition reflects the international community's appreciation of Saudi Arabia's efforts and global leadership in combating corruption, particularly at the international level. Al-Kahmous highlighted the vital role played by the IAACA in fostering international cooperation, transparency, and integrity across various countries. He emphasized the importance of knowledge exchange between nations and institutions dedicated to fighting corruption, developing effective anti-corruption strategies, and building a strong international network to support transparency and accountability legislation. Reaffirming Saudi Arabia's commitment to combat corruption, Al-Kahmous stressed the Kingdom's determination to work alongside member states and stakeholders to contribute meaningfully to IAACA's objectives. The International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities is an independent, non-political organization with more than 180 members worldwide. It focuses on implementing the United Nations Convention against Corruption, supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and significantly reducing corruption and bribery in all forms by 2030. The association also facilitates knowledge sharing among global anti-corruption authorities and professionals, organizing conferences, workshops, and training programs. Saudi Arabia elected member of executive committee of IAACA
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia, represented by the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority which is otherwise known as Nazaha, participated in the 14th general meeting of the International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities, which took place on Thursday via a videoconference. In the course of the meeting, Saudi Arabia, represented by Nazaha's President Mazin Al-Kahmous, was elected as a member of the executive committee of the IAACA, the Saudi Press Agency reported. The move reflects the international community's recognition of the Kingdom's efforts and global status in combating corruption, mainly at the international level. Al-Kahmous praised the vital role of the IAACA in promoting international cooperation, transparency, and integrity across nations. He spoke of the association's mission to facilitate knowledge and expertise exchange among countries and institutions dedicated to combating corruption, as well as to develop effective strategies for addressing the issue locally and internationally. The Nazaha president also stressed the importance of building a network of international partners to support the implementation of laws and policies related to transparency and accountability. Al-Kahmous reiterated the Kingdom's commitment to working alongside member states and all stakeholders to make meaningful and effective contributions toward achieving the objectives of the IAACA.
