Dollar prices steady in Baghdad and Erbil
Shafaq News/ On Thursday, the exchange rates of the US dollar against the Iraqi dinar remained stable in Baghdad and Erbil markets. According to Shafaq News Agency's survey, the dollar's rates held firm with the closure оf the central Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges in Baghdad, settling at 141,450 dinars for every 100 dollars, the same rate as recorded in the morning. In exchange stores in Baghdad, the selling rate was 142,500 dinars for every 100 dollars, while the buying rate was 140,500 dinars.

US dollar sheds value in Baghdad, Erbil
Shafaq News/ On Sunday, the US dollar exchange rate fell against the Iraqi dinar in Baghdad and Erbil. According to a Shafaq News survey, Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiyah central exchanges registered a rate of 141,000 IQD for $100, down from 141,550 IQD on Saturday. In local currency exchange shops in Baghdad, the selling rate fell to 142,000 IQD per $100, while the buying rate was 140,000 IQD. In Erbil, the selling rate stood at 141,000 IQD and the buying rate at 140,850 IQD.

USD/IQD exchange rates edge up in Baghdad, Erbil
Shafaq News/ On Sunday, the US dollar exchange rates recorded a slight increase against the Iraqi dinar in Baghdad and Erbil, as trading resumed for the new week. According to a Shafaq News survey, Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya central currency exchanges registered a rate of 142,450 IQD for every $100, up from 142,400 IQD the previous day. In local exchange shops, the selling price stood at 143,500 IQD and the buying price at 141,500 IQD per $100. In Erbil, the selling prices reached 142,350 IQD, and the buying prices stood at 142,150 IQD for every $100.

US dollar exchange rate drops in Baghdad, remains stable in Erbil
Baghdad ( – The exchange rate for the US dollar compared to the Iraqi dinar slightly declined on Sunday in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and remained stable in the capital of the Kurdistan region of Iraq, Erbil. The US dollar exchange rate declined in Baghdad's Al-Kifah and Al-Harithiya stock exchanges, reaching 1,446 Iraqi dinars compared to 1,447.5 Iraqi dinars on Sunday morning. The exchange rate in currency exchange shops in Baghdad ranged between 1,455 Iraqi dinars and 1,435 Iraqi dinars, Shafaq News reported. In Erbil, the US dollar exchange rate remained stable, fluctuating between 1,447 and 1,445.5 Iraqi dinars. The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) said in February 2023 that it has begun using the new US dollar exchange rate of 1,300 dinars to every US dollar. The previous official exchange rate was 1,450 dinars to one US dollar, which was being exchanged in the parallel market at a rate of 1,550 dinars. While the official exchange rate was 1,450 dinars per dollar in January 2023, the US currency was being exchanged at 1,610 dinars during the same month in the parallel market in Iraq. This variation represented a more than 10 percent difference in exchange rates.

In exchange stores in Baghdad, the selling rate was 145,500 dinars for every 100 dollars, while the buying rate was 143,500 dinars. Erbil's selling price reached 144,700 dinars for every 100 dollars, and the buying price was 144,550.
