Al Mazayna camel beauty contest concludes
AL MUSANNAH: The Al Mazayna competition, organised by the Oman Camel Racing Federation, concluded at the Tawi Al Shawi field in the Wilayat of Al Musannah, Al Batinah South Governorate. The four-day event witnessed enthusiastic participation from camel breeders across various governorates of Oman, showcasing the finest camels in the country.
The final day featured three rounds for the one-year-old camel category. In the Silver Round, Rajwa, representing the Royal Cavalry Corps and trained by Suleiman bin Mohammed al Jahouri, claimed first place. Ramz Al Sharqiya, also from the Royal Cavalry Corps and trained by Al Jahouri, secured second place, while Intikahat, trained by the same handler, finished third.
The highly anticipated Main Round saw Mukhifa, owned by Jumaa bin Hamid al Durai, emerge as the champion, followed by Al Ghazal, owned by Rashid bin Saeed al Saeedi, in second place. Jumayel, owned by Ghalib bin Saeed al Saeedi, secured third place.
In the Talad Round, Maali, owned by Khamis bin Abdullah al Sunaidy, claimed victory. Raghad, owned by Adel bin Saeed al Mughairy, finished second, while Masiha, owned by Hamid bin Abdullah al Quraini, secured third place.
The competition concluded with a grand award ceremony, where Shaikh Ammar bin Salem Al Marzouf al Saadi, member of the Majlis Ash'shura and representative of Al Musannah, presented prizes to the winners. The event was attended by Shaikh Saeed bin Saud al Ghafeeli, Chairman of the Oman Camel Racing Federation, along with esteemed dignitaries and camel enthusiasts.
