UFL schedule Week 3: What games are on today? TV channel, live stream, more

Two weeks into the 2025 UFL season, fans of the spring football league are starting to learn which teams are true title contenders. At present, there are three 2-0 teams in the league. All three are in the XFL conference, as the St. Louis Battlehawks, Arlington Renegades and DC Defenders are all off to hot starts. Meanwhile, the Birmingham Stallions beat the Michigan Panthers in Week 2 to even their records at 1-1 and prove Skip Holtz's squad is still the class of the USFL conference. Week 3 should further establish who the title favorites are in each conference. The Renegades and Stallions will kickstart the week with an interconference clash while the Battlehawks and Defenders will face off to close the week and determine which of them will improve to 3-0 on the season. Here's what to know about the UFL's Week 3 schedule and how to watch all four matchups. Once again, there will be one UFL game on Friday night, one on Saturday and two on Sunday. Below is a look at the spring league's full Week 3 schedule. (All times Eastern.) Arlington Renegades at Birmingham Stallions, 8 p.m., Fox Houston Roughnecks at Memphis Showboats, 2:30 p.m., ESPN/ESPN+ San Antonio Brahmas at Michigan Panthers, Noon, ABC/ESPN+ DC Defenders at St. Louis Battlehawks, 3 p.m., ABC/ESPN+ UFL SCHEDULE 2025: Dates, times, TV channel, more for every spring football game Start time: 8 p.m. ET TV channel: Fox Live stream: Fubo The Stallions are looking for back-to-back Friday night wins after their defense carried them to a 21-12 road win over the Michigan Panthers in Week 2. Birmingham will be without quarterback Alex McGough, who was injured early in its win over Michigan, so Matt Corral figures to get the start after going 18 of 29 for 198 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions in relief of McGough. Meanwhile, Luis Perez – who leads the UFL in passing yards through two weeks (375) – will look to enjoy another efficient outing. Arlington has averaged 141.5 rushing yards per game thanks to the three-headed monster of Kalen Ballage, Dae Dae Hunter and De'Veon Smith, so the Renegades will look to use that trio to tire out a strong Birmingham stop unit. Start time: 2:30 p.m. ET TV channel: ESPN Live stream: Fubo, ESPN+ Two of the UFL's three winless teams will do battle in Week 3 with one poised to get its first win of the season. Houston remains the UFL's most offensively challenged team, as it has only generated 15 points through two weeks. Memphis hasn't been much better, notching 24, but both teams kept their Week 2 matchups within five points thanks to strong defensive showings. E.J. Perry (205 passing yards) and Jonathan Adams (nine receptions, 128 yards) started to show strong chemistry in Memphis' loss to the Defenders. Unless Anthony Brown or Nolan Henderson can match that feat for Houston, the Showboats will probably have the advantage in this one. UFL CONTRACTS: Players to open season without CBA, appeal to 'The Rock' for help Start time: Noon ET TV channel: ABC Live stream: Fubo, ESPN+ Last year, the Brahmas sported one of the best defenses in the UFL. This year, they are allowing a league-high 29.5 points per game while their offense has logged just nine points in each of their two losses. The Brahmas still have a solid running game – their 108.5 rushing yards per game ranks second in the UFL – but unless Kellen Mond can improve his efficiency, their offense figures to be inconsistent. As such, Wade Phillips will need to turn San Antonio's defense around to become a true playoff contender. As for the Panthers, they are coming off a loss to the Stallions and are dealing with a key injury to their best pass rusher, Breeland Speaks. Nonetheless, the Panthers sport a rock-solid defense that should give the Brahmas fits. If Bryce Perkins can continue to perform well at quarterback, Michigan should be able to stave off San Antonio at Ford Field. Start time: 3 p.m. ET TV channel: ABC Live stream: Fubo, ESPN+ This potential XFL conference championship preview is the marquee showdown of UFL Week 3. The Defenders shocked the UFL world by beating the Stallions in Week 1 with a stellar defensive showing and continued to perform at a high level against the Showboats. The Battlehawks have arguably been more impressive, averaging 28.5 points per game while allowing just 7.5 and seeing Manny Wilkins emerge as a quality replacement for AJ McCarron. The key to this game will be whether DC can stop St. Louis' running game. The Battlehawks have averaged a league-high 217.5 rushing yards per game behind Wilkins, Jacob Saylors and Jarveon Howard. The Defenders are allowing 112.5 rushing yards per game. This article originally appeared on USA TODAY: UFL schedule Week 3: What games are on today?

2025 UFL MVP Power Rankings: Jacob Saylors headlines list after Week 1

It's no secret that football MVP awards are mostly synonymous with the quarterback position. Just look at the NFL, where a quarterback has been named the MVP in 12 straight seasons. How about the Heisman Memorial Trophy? Same story, as 12 of the past 15 recipients have been signal-callers. Even in spring football, where KaVontae Turpin was named MVP of the 2022 USFL season, then it was a pair of quarterbacks – Alex McGough (USFL) and Adrian Martinez (UFL) – who took home MVP honors after that. Perhaps this is the year when we buck the trend, as the top standout performances in Week 1 of the 2025 UFL season belonged to the running backs. Jacob Saylors, Kalen Ballage and Jarveon Howard all had big rushing outputs in season-opening wins, but who sits atop the MVP ladder? Here's a look at my first UFL MVP power rankings of the season: [MORE: What is the UFL? Everything to know about the 2025 United Football League] 5. Arlington Renegades QB Luis Perez Week 1 stat line: 20 of 25 passing for 164 yardsWeek 1 result: 33-9 win against San AntonioNo quarterback has more consistently shown himself capable of winning in spring professional football leagues in the United States than Perez, who was characteristically meticulous and mature behind center, even in Week 1. Perez, who operates the offense like co-offensive coordinator Chuck Long, showed he was attuned to all aspects of the offense. Even while the running back room took center stage in the win, Perez quietly completed 20 of 25 passes for 164 yards. The former Division II national champion is one of just two QBs in the UFL to lead his team to a league championship, and Arlington looks ready to mount a run at winning its first UFL title. (Alex McGough led the Birmingham Stallions to the 2023 USFL title, and Perez led the Renegades to the 2023 XFL title.) 4. DC Defenders QB Jordan Ta'amu Week 1 stat line: 17 of 37 passing for 211 yards, 1 TD, 1 INTWeek 1 result: 18-11 win against BirminghamTa'amu had earned Shannon Harris' trust, and it paid dividends. After throwing the ball nearly 40 times for 211 yards with one TD and an INT, the Defenders became just the second team to defeat the Birmingham Stallions in two years and the first to accomplish that feat in Week 1. Now in his third season with the Defenders, Ta'amu has thrown for at least 1,800 yards when he's started 10 games. In his only season in the USFL as the starter for the Tampa Bay Bandits, he led the league in passing with 2,014 yards. Last season, he led the league in passing TDs with 15. If Ta'amu stays healthy, the Defenders have their best chance since 2023 to play for the league championship. 3. Michigan Panthers QB Bryce Perkins Week 1 stat line: 16 of 19 passing for 163 yards, 1 TDWeek 1 result: 26-12 win at MemphisPerkins was the most efficient and polished passer I watched all weekend and that was evident in his stat line with just three incompletions thrown all game. Though he split time with former LSU QB Danny Etling, Perkins looks like he should not only be the Panthers' full-time QB, but the best in the USFL this season. "In every play, there's going to be a throw or a run that's available to us," Perkins said on Saturday. Knowing that and articulating it in a postgame media conference underscores just how comfortable he is in Year 2 of Marcel Bellefueille's offense. Perkins left Virginia as the single-season record holder for passing yards (3,538) and had the second-most wins as a starter (17) behind former Cavalier Matt Schaub. Perkins is a winner, and that might just be an intangible trait that helps Michigan battle for the USFL conference crown. 2. Arlington Renegades RB Kalen BallageWeek 1 stat line: Nine rushes for 110 yards with a TDWeek 1 result: 33-9 win against San AntonioBallage became the first player to post a 100-yard rushing game in the UFL in Week 1. Like the running back room in St. Louis, the Arlington Renegades feasted. Ballage rushed for 110 yards on just nine carries and a TD, while De'Von Smith enjoyed a short yardage back's dream — three rushes, 3 yards, three TDs. It seems, though, Ballage is the featured tailback after playing one of his best games as a professional. In 2016, he tied the FBS record for TDs in a single game with eight in a 68-55 win for Arizona State against Texas Tech — seven rushing TDs on 13 carries. What's more? Battlehawks QB Manny Wilkins was his quarterback at ASU. "I thought Kalen was going to make a big difference, and he does," Renegades coach Bob Stoops said on Saturday. "I'm excited to watch him the rest of the year." 1. St. Louis Battlehawks RB Jacob Saylors Week 1 stat line: 16 rushes for 98 yards, four catches for 48 yardsWeek 1 result: 31-6 win at HoustonThe league's 2024 rushing leader is still a menace. As was evident last season, Saylors is one of the elite tailbacks in the UFL. He showed why in the Battlehawks' Week 1 rout with 145 total yards on 20 touches. If he can hold that pace, there's no question he'll be one of the players vying for player of the year honors in June. It helps to have what looks like the league's best offensive line unit. As the offense continues to fill out, I'll be watching to see just how much of it runs through Sayers, who looks like one of the most dynamic skill players on a formidable Battlehawks offense. Running back Jarveon Howard's 113 rushing yards on just 13 carries opened eyes, too. And the only thing better than having one great tailback is having two. St. Louis coach Anthony Becht must feel good about the prospect of mounting a challenge for the UFL title. Only seven players have rushed for 100 yards or more in the UFL, and three of them have been St. Louis Battlehawks. Running back Mateo Durant rushed for 104 against Arlington last season. 2025 UFL Rosters: See who's playing for all eight teams

The 2025 UFL season is fast approaching, and we're taking a closer look at who landed on which rosters this season. Each team carries a 75-man roster into training camp before the regular-season rosters are trimmed to 50 players (45 active on game day). The reigning champion Stallions are headlined by quarterbacks Matt Corral, Alex McGough and J'Mar Smith. Corral appeared in four games (three starts) for the Stallions last season, passing for 494 yards and two touchdowns. After leading the Stallions to back-to-back USFL championships in 2022 and 2023 and being named the 2023 USFL MVP, McGough is back with Birmingham after a short stint in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers. Smith was the Stallions' starter for the 2023 USFL season, which was cut short after an injury to his left (non-throwing) ring finger landed him on injured reserve for the remainder of that season. Other notable names include running back C.J. Marable and linebacker DeMarquis Gates. The Stallions' full and most up-to-date 2025 roster can be found here. Quarterbacks Danny Etling and E.J. Perry return for Michigan in 2025 after splitting time as the team's starters in 2024. Etling threw for 786 yards, five total touchdowns (three passing, two rushing) and two interceptions to go with 143 rushing yards last season. Star running back Matthew Colburn is also back for the Panthers. He rushed for a team-high 401 yards on 4.5 yards per carry with his 50.1 rushing yards per game ranking third in the league in 2024. Wide receiver Marcus Simms will look to follow up his productive 2024 season (23 receptions for 426 yards and three scores) with another strong year. Defensively, Michigan has two of the top defensive players from the 2024 season on its roster. Defensive end Breeland Speaks led the UFL with 9.5 sacks last season, while free safety Kai Nacua was tied for the league lead in interceptions with three. The Panthers' full and most up-to-date 2025 roster can be found here. After finishing with the league's second-worst record in 2024, the Showboats are looking to turn things around in 2025. They hold the rights to former Kansas quarterback Jason Bean, who they selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the latest draft. Quarterback Quinten Dormady is also back after starting six games for the Showboats last season. The Showboats also hold the rights to running back Blake Watson, who they selected in the second round of the draft before he recorded some playing time with the NFL's Denver Broncos in 2024. Their leading rusher from last season, Darius Victor, isn't on the roster, but they return two wide receivers who finished in the top 10 in receiving yards last season: Jonathan Adams and Daewood Davis. The Showboats' full and most up-to-date 2025 roster can be found here. Houston finished with the league's worst record in 2024, causing it to make some changes over the offseason. It signed former Baltimore Ravens quarterback Anthony Brown, as he'll make his UFL debut this season. It also took former Charlotte and Michigan defensive end Eyabi Okie-Anoma with the second overall pick in the draft. The Roughnecks, hoping to add some pop out of their backfield, also added former Brahmas running back Morgan Ellison. He rushed for 206 yards on 6.6 yards per attempt last season, joining a backfield that had a pair of 200-plus-yard rushers in T.J. Pledger IV and Mark Thompson. Wide receiver Justin Hall is back after finishing tied for first in receptions (56) and third in receiving yards (603) to go with three receiving touchdowns. Defensively, safety Markel Roby is also back with the team after recording three interceptions last season, which was tied for the most in the league. The Roughnecks' full and most up-to-date 2025 roster can be found here. Safety Lukas Denis is returing for St. Louis this season after a short stint with the Atlanta Falcons last season. In 2023, Denis had a pair of interceptions to go with 37 tackles in 10 games with the Battlehawks in the XFL. Battlehawks head coach Anthony Becht has also been raving about their top-tier free agent signings of wideouts Andy Isabella and Denzel Mims and linebacker Kemoko Turay. The Battlehawks' full and most up-to-date 2025 roster can be found here. Kicker Donald "Deestroying" De La Haye is back with San Antonio Brahmas for the 2025 season. He won the kicking job for the Brahmas during the 2024 season and played two games before suffering a season-ending injury in the second week of the 2024 season. De La Haye averaged 68.3 yards on eight kickoffs for San Antonio. Quarterback Jarrett Guarantano joined the Brahmas after appearing in four games for the Roughnecks last season. The Brahmas' full and most up-to-date 2025 roster can be found here. Quarterback Jordan Ta'amu, a top candidate for UFL MVP in 2024, is back with the Defenders after a strong 2024 season highlighted by 1,846 passing yards and 15 passing touchdowns. Former Oklahoma State and Ole Miss signal-caller Spencer Sanders joins Ta'amu on the depth chart. Receiver Chris Rowland, who led the Defenders in both kick return and punt return yards last season, and Malik Fisher, who led the team in sacks, return as well. The Defenders' full and most up-to-date 2025 roster can be found here. Quarterback Luis Perez has re-signed with the Renegades for the upcoming season. Perez, the 2023 XFL legacy Championship MVP, finished the 2024 UFL campaign leading the league in passing, averaging 230 yards per game, with a total of 2309 yards for the season, surpassing all UFL quarterbacks by over 400 yards. Arlington also agreed to terms with two-time Gagliardi Trophy Winner Luke Lehnen, a starter at quarterback who played every game the past four seasons for North Central College, completing 178 of 257 passes (69.3%) for 2,960 yards and 39 touchdowns while also running for 924 yards and a career-high 14 rushing touchdowns. The Renegades' full and most up-to-date 2025 roster can be found here. Read more: Want great stories delivered right to your inbox?
