McGregor on prospect of facing ex-Celtic duo Kuhn & Valle
Kuhn left Celtic for Como this summer in a £17m transfer move with Alex Valle having spent time on loan at Parkhead before a switch to join Cesc Fabregas' side. McGregor is looking forward to seeing his old team-mates again during the pre-season trip as he hailed the privilege of being involved in football and the Como Cup. "You cross paths so many times with new players, and you get to know them on a personal level as well," he said. "You spend so many days at the hotel, training ground, playing with each other and building connections. "It's always nice when you see players move on and do really well for themselves. "We are really lucky to be a part of this and good to see the guys again as well." Quizzed on what a loss Kuhn will be to [[Celtic]], manager Brendan Rodgers added: "Nicolas will be a real exciting talent. "When we watched him playing in Rapid Vienna, straight away his speed, his ability with the ball and his ability to score goals really stood out. "When we took him to Celtic, all of those qualities shone through. "He was also playing in a very, very good team at Celtic, because for a player to shine, you also want to be in a good team. "Callum and his team-mates really helped him improve as a player, and when you play for such a big club like Celtic, you become a winner. "He left after 18 months, done a fantastic job for Celtic; he's a good guy, has lots of qualities, and I hope he does really, really well here."

Celtic confirm 'Como Cup' plans as pre-season takes shape
The dates for this are July 23-27 and more information around it will be released soon. Brendan Rodgers' team are already set to face Cork City and Newcastle United in July friendlies. They could come up against former loanee Alex Valle in Italy after he completed a permanent transfer to Como from Barcelona. Official: Barcelona confirm €6 million sale of La Masia defender
FC Barcelona have confirmed their first sale of the summer transfer window with La Masia defender Alex Valle securing a permanent transfer to Como 1907. The Serie A outfit, managed by former Barcelona midfielder, have triggered Valle's €6 million release clause to make his signing permanent. Advertisement 'Como 1907 has activated the termination clause of player Álex Valle , who is thus no longer linked to FC Barcelona. The cost of the clause was 6 million euros,' the club statement read. 'The Club wishes him good luck and success in the future, both personally and professionally.' Valle spent the first half of the last season on loan at Celtic before moving to Como in the January transfer window. The young Spaniard made a big impression during the second half of the campaign in Italy, convincing Fabregas & co. to pull the trigger on his €6 million release clause. With the first summer departure confirmed, Barcelona will hope to finalise the exits of other out-of-favour players like Ansu Fati and Inaki Pena soon to further boost their finances.

He said [ "It's been a great six months. I've settled in really well and I'm very happy here. Obviously, the prospect of continuing here in Como fills me with joy and pride. I can't wait to start next season and give my all for this club." Valle will now permanently work under Barcelona legend Cesc Fabregas in Italy. The boss revealed his delight at the permanent acquisition of the 20-year-old: "Alex is a talented young defender, and he has proven it in the last six months," he said. "He has integrated perfectly and in a very short time into the team's mechanisms, showing all his qualities both defensively and offensively.
