According to the outlet, the sophomore season introduces several new faces to the cast. Lee Min-jae, Kim Si-eun, and Yoon Ga-i join as a trio of battle-hardened university seniors who have developed their own survival strategies. Adding further intrigue to the mix is Roh Jae-won, who takes on the role of Han Du-seok, a leader of the National Intelligence Service team whose involvement promises to introduce new layers of tension into the storyline. The season will also explore the current circumstances of original Hyosan outbreak survivors, including Cheong-san (Yoon Chan-young), Nam-ra (Cho Yi-hyun), and Su-hyeok (Lomon), as they confront the challenges of post-outbreak life while facing the resurgence of the infection, reported Variety. Netflix has officially greenlit production on Season 2 of All of Us Are Dead, the world-breaking South Korean YA zombie horror that swept the globe in 2022. Based on Joo Dong-geun's hit webtoon, the show became one of the biggest non-English hits ever on Netflix, receiving massive global buzz and a passionate fanbase eager for more. Season 2 picks up after its conclusion. The second one follows Nam On-jo (Park), who is now a university student in Seoul, as she struggles to move on from the trauma. When a new wave of infection suddenly hits the city, she finds herself trapped in another deadly fight for surviva, finding new allies played by Lee, Kim and Yoon Ga-i, who play a group of hardened university seniors with their own methods of surviving. Roh, who appeared in Squid Game Seasons 2 and 3 joins as the mysterious Han Du-seok, a National Intelligence Service team leader. Netflix is staying in the Wednesday game. The streamer has ordered a third season of the supernatural comedy series, which stars Jenna Ortega in the Addams Family reimagining. Plans are also in the works for a spin-off series of the Tim Burton-exec produced show, which was created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, according to THR. The show has made stars of the likes of Myers, who also leads the BBC and Netflix's A Good Girl's Guide to Murder. Netflix shared the big announcement with fans through a special new video showcasing the cast, returning and new, during a table read. Returning cast members include Park Ji-hu, Yoon Chan-young, Cho Yi-hyun, and Lomon, while Lee Min-jae, Kim Si-eun, Roh Jae-won and Yoon Ga-i are joining the show in exciting new roles. 🎬 All of Us Are Dead originally premiered on Netflix on Jan. 28, 2022, not long after the extremely successful K-drama Squid Game hit the platform. The zombie drama followed in Squid Game's footsteps, becoming a huge hit for the streamer. In Netflix's announcement about the start of production, a synopsis for the new season was also revealed that read, "After surviving the catastrophic zombie outbreak at Hyosan High, Nam On-jo (Park Ji-hu) is now a university student in Seoul, struggling to move on from the trauma and the friends she lost. But when a new wave of infection suddenly hits Seoul, she finds herself trapped in another deadly fight for survival — this time without the people she once depended on." The synopsis goes on, noting that the character becomes friends with some seniors at her university (played by three of the new cast members) who help her survive. Meanwhile, the other three returning characters are trying to move on in their own lives. There will be a time jump, as the new season reportedly takes place "years after the outbreak."
