Gold prices increase
KARACHI: Gold prices rebounded with mammoth gains on Monday, mirroring global surge, mounting close to $3,350 per ounce, traders said. Galloping to $3,347 per ounce, world bullion market posted a $59 increase in a single trading session, giving rise to local gold prices by Rs5,900 per tola and Rs5,058 per 10 grams. Gold prices decline further
KARACHI: Gold prices continued to fall on Saturday as world market further lost momentum, sliding under $3,300 per ounce, traders said. Local gold prices went down by Rs1,400 per tola and Rs1,200 per 10 grams following a decline in world bullion rates by $14 to sell at $3,288 per ounce. The plunge dragged down gold prices to Rs347,200 per tola and Rs297,668 per 10 grams, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association said. Domestic silver prices also reduced by Rs24 to Rs3,456 per tola and Rs2,962 per 10 grams. The international market traded silver for $33 per ounce, the association said. Gold prices show upward trend
KARACHI: Gold prices edged higher on Tuesday following a slight rise in the global rates, still hovering close to $3,250 per ounce, traders said. Local market saw an upward trend as the global bullion rate increased by $3, reaching $3,244 per ounce. This rise drove gold prices up by Rs300 per tola and Rs257 per 10 grams. Thus, gold rates scaled up to Rs342,800 per tola and Rs293,895 per 10 grams, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association said. Domestic silver prices continued holding steady at Rs3,410 per tola and Rs2,923 per 10 grams with international market selling the white metal at $33 per ounce, according to the association. Gold sees gigantic loss
KARACHI: Gold saw a gigantic loss on Monday with global market crushing below $3,250 per ounce, traders said. Local market suffered one of the biggest single day falls, amounting by Rs10, 400 per tola and Rs8,917 per 10 grams due to the global bullion slumped by $104, receding to $3,221 per ounce. This huge plunge dragged down the gold prices to Rs340,500 per tola and Rs291,923 per 10 grams, according to All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association Domestic silver prices registered a slight drop by Rs17 and Rs15, going down to Rs3,400 per tola and Rs2,914 per 10 grams, respectively with world market trading the white metal at just over $32 per ounce, the association added. Gold prices lower further
KARACHI: Gold prices further lowered on Friday depicting a downturn in the global market, traders said. International bullion market saw a drop by $18 to $3, 325 per ounce dragging down the local gold prices by Rs1,800 per tola and Rs1,543 per 10 grams. This brought the gold total value to Rs350,900 per tola and Rs300,840 per 10 grams, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association said. Domestic silver prices remained stable at Rs3,417 per tola and Rs2,929 per 10 grams with world market holding firm at over $32 per ounce, the association added.
