Geordie Shore's Holly Hagan reveals she had miscarriage as she issues important message

Geordie Shore's Holly Hagan-Blyth has announced that she had a miscarriage earlier this year, with the reality TV star sharing a 'reminder' to fans whilst discussing the experience Reality TV star Holly Hagan-Blyth has announced that she had a miscarriage four months ago. The Geordie Shore cast member shared the news this morning whilst addressing questions about potentially expanding her family. ‌ Holly, 33, and her husband Jacob Blyth, 32, are already parents to son Alpha-Jax, two. She's now warned fans on social media against asking "when" they will have any more children in the future and revealed in the same post that she had a miscarriage earlier this year. ‌ She opened up about the experience in a Q&A with her followers on Instagram today. Holly invited fans to submit questions this morning and went on to discuss her life, including parenting, in her subsequent responses to them. ‌ Holly later said that the majority of questions she had received were about the prospect of her having more children in the future. One fan had submitted in the Q&A: "Are you having anymore children? You're a great mum." Responding, Holly said: "Thank you and just because 90% of the questions are about when we're having another and I do get constant comments like 'AJ needs a sibling' and I'm like I KNOWW!! I did want to speak about it at the time but didn't know how and didn't want any sympathy (and still don't so please don't message lol) but we did miscarry in March." ‌ She then gave a "reminder," in which she urged fans to be "mindful" when commenting on social media. Holly said: "Just a reminder to be mindful when commenting saying 'when's the next' because how on earth would we know that." Holly and Jacob welcomed their son Alpha-Jax in 2023. She shared at the time that she "couldn't have wished for a better birth experience" and that they were enjoying their "little baby bubble" following the newborn's arrival. She's since kept fans updated and has spoken candidly about aspects of her experience as a parent, including feeling anxiety. And whilst reflecting on the first year of Alpha-Jax's life in May, she said it had been the "toughest year" for her. ‌ Alongside footage from his first year, she wrote two months ago: "Although this looks full of happiness and joy, I'm not ashamed to say this was the toughest year of my life. People would say 'oh it's hard but the good out weighs the bad doesn't it?' And I'd genuinely not know how to respond. "I felt so much guilt for not enjoying it as much as my friends. Or feeling like the things that came naturally to them didn't seem to come naturally to me. I know now babies temperaments can be so different. And AJ just hated being a baby." ‌ She continued: "It's like, how can you love something so much that you'd take a bullet for them, but also feel like you might have made the wrong choice becoming a parent at the same time. It was so confusing and there's so much shame from people who haven't felt that, or who may just have really easy babies. "If you'd of asked me this time last year I'd of said I'm one and done. But I don't feel like this now. I'm sharing this because I want anyone who may be feeling like this to know that it does get better. The good is now massively outweighing the bad and I love being a mam so much." Holly told fans that becoming a parent is a "huge adjustment" and encouraging giving "grace" to those struggling to know that it's okay to talk about it. She added: "It doesn't mean you're a bad parent or that you don't love them as much as someone who is finding it easy! You're not alone and it does get better." ‌ She has also previously spoken about the joy that her son has brought her though. Paying tribute for his first birthday last year, she wrote: "Happy 1st birthday to my beautiful, intelligent, cheeky and wild little boy." Holly added: "You brighten up every room with your energy and always have everyone smiling and laughing. The most challenging year of our lives but your little face and laugh makes it all worth it! We love you so much baby boy." If you have been affected by this story, advice and support can be found at the Miscarriage Association. You can call them on 01924 200799 or email info@
