Geordie Shore's Holly Hagan reveals she had miscarriage as she issues important message

Daily Mirror17-07-2025
Geordie Shore's Holly Hagan-Blyth has announced that she had a miscarriage earlier this year, with the reality TV star sharing a 'reminder' to fans whilst discussing the experience
Reality TV star Holly Hagan-Blyth has announced that she had a miscarriage four months ago. The Geordie Shore cast member shared the news this morning whilst addressing questions about potentially expanding her family.

Holly, 33, and her husband Jacob Blyth, 32, are already parents to son Alpha-Jax, two. She's now warned fans on social media against asking "when" they will have any more children in the future and revealed in the same post that she had a miscarriage earlier this year.

She opened up about the experience in a Q&A with her followers on Instagram today. Holly invited fans to submit questions this morning and went on to discuss her life, including parenting, in her subsequent responses to them.

Holly later said that the majority of questions she had received were about the prospect of her having more children in the future. One fan had submitted in the Q&A: "Are you having anymore children? You're a great mum."
Responding, Holly said: "Thank you and just because 90% of the questions are about when we're having another and I do get constant comments like 'AJ needs a sibling' and I'm like I KNOWW!! I did want to speak about it at the time but didn't know how and didn't want any sympathy (and still don't so please don't message lol) but we did miscarry in March."

She then gave a "reminder," in which she urged fans to be "mindful" when commenting on social media. Holly said: "Just a reminder to be mindful when commenting saying 'when's the next' because how on earth would we know that."
Holly and Jacob welcomed their son Alpha-Jax in 2023. She shared at the time that she "couldn't have wished for a better birth experience" and that they were enjoying their "little baby bubble" following the newborn's arrival.
She's since kept fans updated and has spoken candidly about aspects of her experience as a parent, including feeling anxiety. And whilst reflecting on the first year of Alpha-Jax's life in May, she said it had been the "toughest year" for her.

Alongside footage from his first year, she wrote two months ago: "Although this looks full of happiness and joy, I'm not ashamed to say this was the toughest year of my life. People would say 'oh it's hard but the good out weighs the bad doesn't it?' And I'd genuinely not know how to respond.
"I felt so much guilt for not enjoying it as much as my friends. Or feeling like the things that came naturally to them didn't seem to come naturally to me. I know now babies temperaments can be so different. And AJ just hated being a baby."

She continued: "It's like, how can you love something so much that you'd take a bullet for them, but also feel like you might have made the wrong choice becoming a parent at the same time. It was so confusing and there's so much shame from people who haven't felt that, or who may just have really easy babies.
"If you'd of asked me this time last year I'd of said I'm one and done. But I don't feel like this now. I'm sharing this because I want anyone who may be feeling like this to know that it does get better. The good is now massively outweighing the bad and I love being a mam so much."
Holly told fans that becoming a parent is a "huge adjustment" and encouraging giving "grace" to those struggling to know that it's okay to talk about it. She added: "It doesn't mean you're a bad parent or that you don't love them as much as someone who is finding it easy! You're not alone and it does get better."

She has also previously spoken about the joy that her son has brought her though. Paying tribute for his first birthday last year, she wrote: "Happy 1st birthday to my beautiful, intelligent, cheeky and wild little boy."
Holly added: "You brighten up every room with your energy and always have everyone smiling and laughing. The most challenging year of our lives but your little face and laugh makes it all worth it! We love you so much baby boy."

Frankie Bridge fans 'obsessed' with sell-out suit that's back in new colour

The 36-year-old singer shared her latest 'Payday Faves' on Instagram over the weekend and her followers went made for a sage green suit from PrettyLittleThing Style icon Frankie Bridge has served up some seriously swoon-worthy looks in her recent 'Faves Edit'. And one of the outfits was a co-ord set from PrettyLittleThing that had fans 'obsessed', with some saying it's one of her 'best looks yet'. The former The Saturdays singer each week shares a series of outfits on Instagram and in her Faves Edit newsletter to give style inspiration to her followers. This week, her video featured looks for shoppers to treat themselves to come payday - the PrettyLittleThing set included. Consisting of a Woven Collarless Oversized Shoulder Pad Waistcoat, £34, and Woven Extreme Wide Leg Pleated Mid Rise Wide Leg Trousers, £28, the pair comes in three different colours: sage khaki (green - Frankie's choice), butter yellow and a light neutral Clay tone. Her inclusion of this suit comes after the brand's popular chocolate brown hue supposedly 'sold out'. Frankie mused: " This suit has sold out every time in brown, so they've brought out a new colour." While she said that on the website it looks more of a beige hue, she confirmed in her video showcasing the duo that is was 'definitely green'. Shop Frankie's look Product Description Made from a mix of 75% Polyester, 20% Viscose and 5% Elastane, the suit is a great option for events like weddings, christenings and dinners occurring in the summer months thanks to its relatively lightweight make-up. With dramatic shoulders, a collarless neckline - great for showing off necklaces - and sleeveless finish, the waistcoat has a relaxed fit and hidden popper fastening for a seamless look. It's a unique take on the more traditional waistcoats, which often feature button fastenings on the outside - for example, the £25 M&S Collection Tailored Waistcoat has four buttons on the front to fasten its tailored fit, while New Look's Green Soft Touch Striped Crew Neck Waistcoat, £22.99, has more of a longline shape fastened from its crew neckline to its hip-length hem. A fun design, this waistcoat comes with a defined striped vertical pattern and fitted darts. The PLT waistcoat is complimented nicely by the brand's Extreme Wide Leg Pleated Mid Rise Wide Leg Trousers. With 'exaggerated pleats and flowing legs' they are flattering on all shapes and sizes. The set is still available in sizes four to 16. Fans and followers of Frankie Bridge on Instagram flooded her comments section to praise the ensemble - which was made up of some statement earrings, a burgundy bag and burgundy sandal heels. "OMG some of the best looks yet," said one keen fashion fan, while another raved: "Ohhh that sage green co-ord is a piece of me." "Needs the links for them all and your fav green co ord same," added another. Although for some people, these looks proved to be a little too 'big' on the singer, with one Instagram comment reading: "Everything looks so big", regarding the oversized fit. They added: "I prefer the more fitted, tailored outfits."

Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd brands wedding guests 'idiots' for one question

Jack P Shepherd, known for his role as David Platt on the long-running ITV soap, recently tied the knot with his partner, Hanni Treweek, but revealed that he had a certain issue prior to the big day Jack P Shepherd has dubbed some of his recent wedding guests "f***ing idiots" for asking a specific question about the proceedings. In a new episode of the On The Sofa podcast with fellow Coronation Street stars Colson Smith and Ben Price (recorded prior to his marriage to Hanni Treweek), the David Platt actor opened up about his wedding preparations. ‌ On Saturday (July 26), the happy couple tied the knot at Manchester Cathedral, surrounded by loved ones. It included his podcast co-hosts, Colson and Ben, who would serve as his groomsmen on the day. ‌ Jack noted at the time of the recording that it was the "kick-b*****k scramble" week before the wedding, a time when they had to address the "nitty gritty bits", prompting Colson to ask if there had been any cancellations. ‌ He said: "I've had a few f***ing idiots saying things like - it's mainly family." Colson interjected, noting that he was, in fact, a "f***ing idiot", to which Jack replied: "Oh, was ya?" ‌ Jack continued: "Saying stuff like, 'Well, where do we get ready, because the wedding's at two, but we can't check in till three?' I said, 'At f***ing home, you idiot. I mean, where do you think you get ready if you can't get ready in the hotel?" Elaborating, he pointed out that people could arrive at the hotel and do what "normal people" do by dropping their bags off. Despite this, it appears that the wedding went off without a hitch. ‌ In what they described as "the wedding of our dreams", Jack arrived in a red Mustang and wore an off-white suit, sunglasses and bow-tie. Meanwhile, Hanni, donning a tiara, reportedly wore a skirt and off-the-shoulder top. Also in attendance were Jack's son, Reuben (whose outfit matched his dad's) and the actor's on-screen mum, Helen Worth, who was accompanied by her husband, Trevor Dawson. As they left the venue, the newlyweds could be seen beaming and exchanging a number of kisses as they headed to the wedding car, as white confetti cascaded over them. ‌ Jack and Hanni first met on the set of Corrie when she was working as a scriptwriter. Fast forward to over a year ago, and Jack popped the question while the couple enjoyed a safari in Tanzania. The soap actor first joined the long-running ITV show in April 2000 and has since become a much-loved fixture of the series. In advance of the big day, Jack took to Instagram to express his thanks to the wedding planners. He wrote: "The A team, @taylorlynncorp me and @hannitreweek are so grateful. everything has come together and it's looking like it's gonna be amazing! "We couldn't have done it without you guys. Best in the biz. Thank you thank you thank you."

Star Wrexham let go who wanted to stay makes statement that Ryan Reynolds will love

Veteran striker Steven Fletcher has praised Wrexham after being released from the club owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, calling it his most enjoyable football experience Veteran striker Steven Fletcher was forced to leave Wrexham despite wanting to prolong his career in Wales – but he has still spoken glowingly about his time at the club. The former Premier League goalscorer was let go at the end of last season after playing a key role in two of the Welsh side's three successive promotions. ‌ The 38-year-old scored eight goals in 40 League One appearances last term, many of them from the bench, as the Red Dragons secured automatic promotion. ‌ However, the former Scotland international was deemed surplus to requirements by manager Phil Parkinson as Wrexham began their preparations for life in the Championship. ‌ Fletcher, who played in the Premier League with Burnley, Wolves and Sunderland earlier in his career, said in a post on Instagram in May that he was departing "with a heavy heart" and "not by choice". But despite his disappointment, he has spoken warmly about his two-year spell at Wrexham and the positive environment at the club in words which will be music to the ears of Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. Speaking on the Golf Life YouTube channel, Fletcher said: "There's something about it, the town, the club, the fans and the staff. There's just a massive togetherness. I've been in football for 20-odd years and it's the most I've enjoyed my football. "I've played in the Premier League, I've played at the highest levels, and no disrespect to the clubs I've been at, but in that moment I really enjoyed my football." Fletcher is now mulling over his next move and admitted he is "95 per cent sure" that his football career is over. He said his plans to retire come despite some of his old teammates encouraging him to keep going. ‌ He added: "I'm 95 per cent sure that I'm done. When you say it out loud, you get a weird feeling. There's a bit inside of me that wants to finish on a high and I don't want to go chasing something that I'm not going to find." Fletcher's efforts for Wrexham were clearly appreciated by the club's owners. Reacting to him being released on social media, Reynolds said he would miss his "leadership and wit". Addressing Fletcher directly, Reynolds said: "Words aren't agile enough to capture what you've brought to Wrexham, the sport, and the lives of myself and this whole town. You aren't a PART of greatness. You ARE greatness. ‌ "I don't really know what a co-chairmen is supposed to do or say in these moments and I don't much care. I'm gonna miss you. I'll miss your your leadership and wit and the way you remind everyone - including me - that this is also FUN. Like the first day we met, I'm here for you any time and any place. Always." McElhenney later opened up about how difficult he found saying goodbye to Fletcher while appearing on the podcast. It came after the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor revealed enjoyed a round with golf with Fletcher in the US shortly before he was released. ‌ "Even just bringing up his [Steven Fletcher's] name is difficult because the brutal reality of football it just reminds me of how quickly you can go from spending all day with him here in Los Angeles promoting the show and playing golf," he said. "[Then] putting him on a plane, sending him home and within 24 hours, Phil released him from the club, and that was difficult."
