New dad killed in wreck with dump truck while heading to pick up wife and newborn from hospital
A new father was killed in a collision with a dump truck while on his way to pick up his wife and baby from the hospital. Dennis Lewis Jr., 35, died Friday after his motorcycle collided with a dump truck near Libertyville, Illinois, a suburb north of Chicago. His daughter, Harley Rose, was born just three days earlier, according to a GoFundMe launched to support his family. According to witnesses, Lewis was on his motorcycle approaching an intersection with a green light when a dump truck made a left turn in front of his motorcycle, Lake County Sheriff's Office Deputy Chief Christopher Covelli told The Independent. Lewis collided with the truck and was ejected from his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Lewis died from blunt force injuries to his head and neck, Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek told the Lake and McHenry County Scanner. The truck driver is uninjured and cooperating with the investigation, Covelli said. Lewis never got the chance to hold his newborn daughter at home, according to the GoFundMe page. 'His sudden passing has left a tremendous hole in our hearts and a heavy burden on the mother of his newborn, who is now navigating the unimaginable: caring for a brand-new baby while grieving the loss of her partner,' the GoFundMe page reads. The funds will be used to support Harley Rose and her mother, Amberly. The page has a goal of $6,500 and has received more than $4,900 as of Wednesday morning. 'It's important to us that people understand Dennis didn't cause this — his life was taken unfairly, just days after he became a father for the first time,' the GoFundMe page reads. 'He never got the chance to bring Harley home.' The crash is under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff's Office.

I'm a fashion editor and these are the Love Island USA looks worth shopping
Love Island USA has already brought us a fair share of drama, new storylines, sexy singles, and a whole host of fun (and slightly disturbing) games that has us all glued to our seats in front of the TV at 9 p.m. every day. But one thing the sizzling show has really outdone itself on this year? The outfits. From stunning one-piece swimsuits to full-length dresses on recoupling night, here are some of my favorite looks from the season — from a fashion editor's eye. I've found where you can shop the EXACT look — no dupes. Keep updating this page as the season goes on to see which other looks made the cut — and which woefully failed to catch my attention. Best Love Island USA outfits Amberly Embellished Cut-Out Halterneck Maxi Dress in Aqua Blue Olandria stunned in this shimmery dress during her entrance into Love Island. The aqua blue embellished design is perfect for the summer, and the carefully placed leg slit and deep plunge neck make this outfit look sexy without going over the top. It's got a mermaid tail bottom and will give you that hourglass figure with ease. $215 Shop Ciel Split Front Denim Halter Top Iris's entrance was fiery, but her denim look during her first night is what first caught my attention. This deep-cut halter denim top is the festival look I'm loving this season. It has an adjustable buckle up front, allowing you to achieve a snug fit. Pair it with Daisy Dukes or denim pants for the full look. $65.60 Shop Cindy Plunge Maxi Dress In Green Episode 6 had by far the best fashion I've seen this season, and this printed green-blue maxi dress worn by Amaya quickly caught my attention. I love the halter plunge neck and resort-worthy print, cinched at the waist with beautiful beaded embroidery. The front split is sexy yet doesn't expose too much, and the delicate ruffle trim gives the dress even more movement. Since it's a maxi dress, you want it to cut off right at the ankles — I recommend pairing heels or wedges for the full look. $180 Shop Outcast PIETTE MAXI SKIRT CREAM While Huda was visibly distressed during episode 12's recoupling, I was more focused on her killer outfit. The flowy cream-colored lace skirt accentuated her curves and made her look ethereal and goddess-like, during one of the most stressful moments of the season. I love the layers this skirt has — short in the front and long and flowy in the back. Paired with the full-sleeve cropped lace blouse, the look is elegant, refined, and fit for a Greek goddess. $89 Shop Hot Girl Summer by Megan Thee Stallion Mamushi One-Piece Swimsuit There's something about the crocodile print, leather look that's oh so sexy, and Olandria really pulls it off in episode 15. The gold buckle on the chest accentuates the deep neckline, and this shaping one-piece even has adjustable straps for a better fit. It's also probably the most affordable outfit from the entire season, at just $28. You can even check out the styles some of the other girls wore by shopping Megan Thee Stallion's Hot Girl Summer collection, available exclusively at Walmart. $28 Shop Outcast INDIA MINI DRESS TEAL Hannah really rocks the cute girl aesthetic very well, with her light pink halter tops and cutesy tube dresses. But she really turned heads in this teal dress, featuring floral embroidery over blue lace. It's another halter neck design (there's been so many of those this season) and features a cinched waist with an overall stretchy build. Size down if you can for that stunning snug fit Hannah boasts in episode 8. $78 Shop Windor Step Up Abstract Print Cutout Mini Dress Oh Belle-A, we miss you, and your fashion sense. This adorable cut-out dress from Windsor was worn in episode 3, and features a bold abstract print in a fiery orange build. It has a plunging neckline, metal accents, and an open back. It's super stretchy too, and cuts out at your thighs, giving it just enough length so you don't constantly have to pull it down. $34.90 Shop Melani IANA top Another showstopper from Belle-A, this ombre blue cinched top is a summer must-have for any girl. The ruched detailing is abstract and unique, and the sweetheart neckline accentuates your collarbones and shoulders. Pair it with the Valetta or Saira skirt, depending on if you want a more mermaid-style look, or a skirt with a thigh-high slit. $59 Shop Aiza Underwire Cocktail Dress I personally love House of CB, so when I saw Huda in this dress I immediately fell in love. It's a beautiful hot pink maxi dress with a lace trim and body-fitting design. Just make sure you buy the right size though — House of CB makes dresses for cups A–C and then dresses for busts D and E, so if you have a larger chest, make sure to choose the fuller option. $255 Shop Bydee Prague Top in La Ceiba Bydee suits have some of the coolest designs, so it was fun to see Cierra rock a tropical print in their famous Prague top and bottoms. You can shop them in various prints (though the exact print that Cierra wore is not available anymore). The printed tops have double straps, a beaded trim, and an embellished charm up front. Pair them with the matching Prague bottoms. $99 Shop
