Diddy's Strange Favorite Sauce To Put On Cheeseburgers Irks Jurors During Rapper's Explosive Trial
During Sean "Diddy" Combs' Manhattan trial, ex-assistants of the music mogul revealed bizarre and disturbing details. One such detail was the embattled rapper's strange love of applesauce on cheeseburgers and other food. Testimony also included an incident where Diddy hurled apples at a past girlfriend and a chaotic confrontation with Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura aboard a private jet. Diddy's unusual habit of putting applesauce on his cheeseburgers was oddly highlighted twice this week during his Manhattan trial, as former assistants revealed quirky details about the Bad Boy Records founder on the stand. During Thursday's testimony, ex-employee George Kaplan described how Diddy and his team used a "Black AMEX card," the nickname for the ultra-exclusive American Express Centurion Card, to cover everything the music mogul requested, from baby oil to yacht rentals and luxury villas. When defense lawyer Marc Agnifilo questioned him about the applesauce, Kaplan explained, "Mr. Combs loves applesauce and eats it on the side or top of a lot of things," Kaplan responded. "Cheeseburgers?" Agnifilo asked. "Cheeseburgers being one of them," Kaplan confirmed, per the New York Post. Agnifilo then inquired whether Diddy could realistically keep track of all the card's expenses. Kaplan replied, "His world was the size of the Earth. He was doing business all over the world … Frankly, to think that he knew where some of these things were coming from is unrealistic." The unusual combination of applesauce and cheeseburgers also came up earlier in the week during Tuesday's testimony from David James, another former assistant to Diddy. James, who handled the rapper's riders, was questioned about the hip-hop icon's specific requests. He explained that when Diddy traveled to the UK, he always brought American ketchup because the local tomato sauce didn't meet his standards. James also said he regularly packed applesauce, noting that Diddy loved it so much that he even used it as a topping for his burgers. "Were you aware he put applesauce on his cheeseburgers?" Agnifilo asked. "I was not aware, but I knew he liked applesauce," James replied. According to reports, the jurors visibly reacted with discomfort when the unusual food combo was mentioned again, with one juror even making a gagging motion. The amusing talk about applesauce offered a brief break from the more disturbing testimonies about Diddy's alleged violent behavior toward his girlfriends. During his testimony, Kaplan recounted a 2015 incident at Diddy's Miami mansion when the rapper, who later took the name "Love," hurled apples at a then-girlfriend named Gina during a heated argument. Kaplan described the throw as "hard." "He was very angry," he testified, noting that Gina "was trying to shield herself with her arms and trying to move away from him." He added that the apples had been part of the mansion's entryway decor, though he wasn't sure if they were real or fake. Kaplan described chaotic scenes during a 2015 altercation between Diddy and his then-girlfriend Cassie aboard the mogul's private jet. He described how Diddy and Cassie were separated by a partition on the private jet when he suddenly heard the sound of glass breaking. "I looked over my right shoulder. I saw Mr. Combs standing over Cassie," Kaplan recalled. He said he witnessed Cassie lying on her back, with her legs raised to keep her distance from Diddy. At the time, he said the rapper was holding a whiskey glass as the "tremendous commotion" unfolded, and Cassie was yelling, "Isn't anyone seeing this?!" Despite the commotion, Kaplan said no one stepped in to help, not even Diddy's security team. Kaplan also spoke about Diddy's relationships with Cassie and "Gina," noting that both were considered his "girlfriends," but in a different league than Kim Porter, the producer's longtime partner and mother to three of his children. "Mr. Combs always seemed to have an extra gauge of patience with Ms. Porter," he explained. "Ms. Porter seemed to make Mr. Combs really happy, even when he was otherwise not. He wasn't going around treating everyone poorly all the time, but he treated her in a really special manner, different from how he treated others." However, back in January, singer Al B. Sure! Broke his silence about Diddy's relationship with the late Porter, offering explosive revelations in the documentary "Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy." In the documentary, Al B. Sure! Makes serious claims about Porter's fears during her time with Diddy, particularly as they raised her son Quincy together before she had three more children with the music mogul. "Kimberly said, 'Don't get involved. You will get killed," he alleged per the New York Post. "Let's just say, you gotta listen to Kimberly. Because not only was she trying to save me, but she was putting her own life in danger."

Jurors at bombshell Diddy trial learn disgusting way he likes his burgers as ex-employees testify
Sean 'Diddy' Combs bizarrely puts applesauce on his cheeseburgers, disgusted jurors twice heard this week in the Bad Boy Records founder's Manhattan trial — as his former assistants spilled his secrets from the witness stand. The second mention of Combs' fondness for applesauce-laden cheeseburgers came Thursday as his ex-employee George Kaplan testified about his use of a 'Black AMEX card' — the nickname for the highly exclusive American Express Centurion Card. Kaplan told defense attorney Marc Agnifilo that Combs' staff used the card to buy everything the music mogu requested, including baby oil, yacht leases and villas. 'Applesauce?' asked Agnifilo. 'Mr. Combs loves applesauce and eats it on the side or on top of a lot of things,' Kaplan responded. 'Cheeseburgers?' Agnifilo asked. 'Cheeseburgers being one of them,' Kaplan said. Agnifilo asked if was possible for Combs to track all those charges. 'His world was the size of the Earth,' Kaplan said. 'He was doing business all over the world … Frankly, to think that he knew where some of these things were coming from is unrealistic.' The eccentric applesauce-burger pairing also came up Tuesday as David James, another of Combs' former assistants, testified about his time working for the hip-hop star. James, who said he was responsible for Combs' riders, was asked what his former boss required and used ketchup as an example. When Combs was in the UK, he traveled with American ketchup because British tomato sauce is not the same, James said. James also packed applesauce because Combs loved it so much that he even put it on his burgers. 'Were you aware he put applesauce on his cheeseburgers?' Agnifilo asked. 'I was not aware, but I knew he liked applesauce,' James said. Jurors grimaced when Agnifilo mentioned that Combs liked applesauce on his cheeseburgers, with one of the panelists making a gag-like gesture. The saucy digressions were more lighthearted than the former assistants' hair-raising tales of Combs' alleged violence and abuse of his gal pals. Combs chucked apples at one of his girlfriends named 'Gina' during a 2015 blowup inside his Miami mansion, Kaplan told jurors. The hip-hop star, who later adopted the stage name 'Love,' threw the apples 'hard. ' 'He was very angry,' Kaplan testified. Gina 'was trying to shield herself with her arms and trying to move away from him,' he recounted. Kaplan said the apples were a decoration in the mansion's entryway, and he didn't know real or fake. The former assistant also testified about 'chaos' breaking out during a 2015 fight between Combs and then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura on the music mogul's private jet. Kaplan said Combs and Ventura were behind a partition on the jet when he heard a 'glass crash, shatter.' 'I looked over my right shoulder. I saw Mr. Combs standing over Cassie,' Kaplan said, recalling the altercation. He then said he saw Ventura on her back with her legs hiked up in an attempt to create space between her and Combs. Combs had a whisky glass in his hand when the 'tremendous commotion' broke out, and Ventura was screaming, 'Isn't anyone seeing this?!' according to Kaplan. No one intervened, not even Combs' security detail, Kaplan testified. Kaplan also delved into Combs' relationships with Ventura and 'Gina.' Both were 'girlfriends' of Combs, Kaplan said, as compared to Kim Porter — the producer's longtime love and mother of three of his children. 'Mr. Combs always seemed to have an extra gauge of patience with Ms. Porter,' Kaplan said. 'Ms. Porter seemed to make Mr. Combs really happy, even when he was otherwise not. He wasn't going around treating everyone poorly all the time, but he treated her in a really special manner, different to how he treated others.' Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking.
