NFL schedule leak: Steelers Week 16, tough NFC North road matchup revealed
NFL schedule leak: Steelers Week 16, tough NFC North road matchup revealed One of the most difficult road matchups on the Pittsburgh Steelers' schedule has just been leaked — as Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan has revealed that the Steel City brand of football will travel to face the Detroit Lions in Week 16 of the 2025 season. The Lions went 15-2 last season — earning the top seed in the NFC — and are considered Super Bowl contenders in 2025. Detroit's high-powered offense seemingly has no weaknesses: one of, if not the best offensive line in the NFL, two fantastic wide receivers in Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jameson Williams, two great running backs in Jahmyr Gibbs and David Montgomery, and one of the league's best young tight ends in Sam LaPorta. It appears to be a complete mismatch for the Steelers on paper, but the retooled defense could help Pittsburgh stay competitive in the contest — despite lingering question marks surrounding the Black and Gold offense in 2025. Will Pittsburgh pull off an upset in Week 16 — or will the Lions continue their dominance into 2025 and roll through the Steelers in this late-season matchup?

Andrew Fillipponi: Steelers could play NFC North team on Monday Night Football, Week 1
Andrew Fillipponi: Steelers could play NFC North team on Monday Night Football, Week 1 Pittsburgh's Week 1 opponent may have been revealed — as Steelers leaks, rumors, and predictions run rampant with the NFL Schedule Release drawing ever closer. Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan — who reported the Steelers' 2025 Ireland opponent, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Week 4 date almost 10 days before the official NFL announcement — just dropped a bombshell prediction for the first Monday Night Football of the season: Week 1, Green Bay vs. Pittsburgh. According to Fillipponi, the Vikings being selected over the Packers for the Ireland game has caused speculation to run rampant — particularly since Green Bay is one of the NFL franchises affiliated with Ireland. He argued that the Pirates are playing in Pittsburgh on Sunday, which could push the Steelers to be given the Monday Night Football slot instead. One could argue that this prediction doesn't account for a potential Week 1 matchup against the Jets, who could also offer a fantastic revenge game for both Aaron Rodgers and former Steel City QB Justin Fields — but two of the most historic franchises in the Pittsburgh Steelers and Green Bay Packers would be must-see TV on Monday Night Football.

NFL announces Steelers will host Vikings in Ireland — Week 4 of 2025 season
NFL announces Steelers will host Vikings in Ireland — Week 4 of 2025 season The Steelers have received their first official game from the 2025 NFL Schedule Release — an international matchup in Ireland, where Pittsburgh will host the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4, as confirmed by NFL Network's Good Morning Football. The Vikings are currently undefeated in international contests, boasting an impressive 5-0 record in NFL games held outside the United States — while the Steelers' first and only international matchup was against Minnesota back in 2013, in a losing effort. What's more interesting about the Steelers-Vikings matchup is that Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan broke the news on May 4 — almost 10 days before the official NFL announcement. The Vikings are currently rumored to face two AFC North opponents in back-to-back weeks, with the Steelers in Week 4 and the Browns in Week 5. Will the Vikings receive their first blemish on an undefeated international record, or are the Steelers due for their first win outside of the United States? Fans can tune in to watch the action unfold on September 28, during Week 4 of the 2025 season.

Reporter Refutes Latest Rumor Hinting Aaron Rodgers Close to Making Steelers Decision
Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers have been arguably the most talked about storyline throughout the entire NFL offseason. At this point in time, the situation is no closer to being finalized than it was when the rumors started picking up steam. Despite all of the reports about Rodgers' interest in the Steelers, he has not signed a deal to become the team's new starting quarterback. Advertisement Throughout the course of the offseason, Rodgers has flown to Pittsburgh to visit the team. He has also held a private throwing session with DK Metcalf. However, he has yet to make a decision about what he's going to do with his future. On Saturday, Pittsburgh area media personality Andrew Fillipponi reported that Rodgers had "allegedly joined Nevillewood Country Club, which could signal he's going to sign with the Steelers. That rumor has been refuted. Rich Walsh of KDKA-TV (CBS) has fired back at the alleged rumor involving Rodgers. "This rumor is NOT true. I just spoke with the Club at Nevillewood President Wayne Chiurazzi, who said Aaron Rodgers did not join," Walsh wrote. "The Club would love to have him if he does sign with the Steelers. It is true that Nevillewood is a beautiful Pittsburgh suburban golf course." While everyone is waiting anxiously to find out about Rodgers and what he'll decide to do with Pittsburgh, the answer doesn't seem to be coming in the immediate future. That could change, but fans will continue waiting. In 2024 with the New York Jets, the future Hall of Fame quarterback completed 63% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
