Samsung's Galaxy Watch gets £99 rival that's way better than its price suggests

Watch out Apple and Samsung, there's a new wearable arriving in the UK and it only costs £99. This latest budget smartwatch is being launched by the UK team at Nothing. This fledgling technology firm already makes some top-notch smartphones, and now they are adding to their portfolio via a sub-brand called CMF. ‌ Some CMF devices launched last year and now there's another gadget coming to the range with the CMF Watch 3 Pro now on sale. ‌ It costs just £99, which is far cheaper than all of its biggest rivals, but that low cost doesn't mean bargain basement features. ‌ For under £100, you get a wearable with a vibrant 1.43-inch AMOLED display with ultra-thin bezels, over 120 custom watch faces and battery life that can last a whopping 13 days. Its design is fully waterproof, there's fast charging and even smart ChatGPT integration. ‌ Of course, like all watches, Nothing boasts that its new CMF Watch 3 Pro can keep an eye on your health and daily fitness levels. This device offers heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen and even how stressed out you are. When it's time for some exercise, it will track those workouts and even offer advice on all-important cool downs and recovery. As we mentioned before, the Watch 3 Pro will be priced at £99 and is available in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Orange 'We designed Watch 3 Pro to be the perfect starting point for anyone beginning their health and fitness journey,' said Andrew Freshwater, Head of Smart Products Marketing at Nothing. 'Whether you're getting into running, building better habits, or just want something that looks great on your wrist, Watch 3 Pro delivers a smart, stylish experience that makes it easy to stay on track without overcomplicating things.' If Samsung's wearables still sound more appealing, then some new Galaxy Watches are going on sale this week, which get new designs, a faster processor and even a sensor that measures antioxidants in the body. The new Watch8 starts from £319, with the Watch 8 Classic costing £443.

Nothing and KEF announce strategic audio partnership

Nothing, the London-based consumer technology company, and KEF, the renowned British audio pioneer, today announced a strategic partnership to explore new frontiers in sound innovation and bring refined audio experiences to a broader audience. Rooted in a shared commitment to craftsmanship, engineering excellence, and bold design, this collaboration brings together two of the UK's most iconic brands. KEF's six decades of high-fidelity audio expertise will support Nothing's expansion into new audio categories – bringing acoustic precision to products shaped by Nothing's distinct approach to design and user experience. "KEF is one of the most respected names in audio, and we're proud to partner with them as we take the next step in expanding Nothing's audio journey," said Andrew Freshwater, head of smart products marketing at Nothing. Nothing partners with KEF to boost audio performance of upcoming lineup

British consumer technology brand Nothing has announced a partnership with British audio specialist KEF. According to the company, this collaboration aims to explore new frontiers in sound innovation and deliver refined audio experiences to a broader audience. The partnership suggests that Nothing may expand its audio portfolio to include new products, such as speakers, and could potentially introduce KEF-tuned sound in its upcoming generation of earbuds. 'By combining KEF's decades of expertise with our design-led approach to technology, we're laying the groundwork for a new standard in everyday listening. Our products launching later this year mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter of our collaboration and the future of Nothing Audio,' said Andrew Freshwater, Head of Smart Products Marketing at Nothing. While the details have not been confirmed, Nothing's 2025 Ear and Ear(a) earbuds series may feature KEF-tuned audio. Currently, Nothing uses Dirac Opteo tuning in its CMF Buds 2 and Buds 2a, a feature that the company claims improves vocal clarity and enhances instrument separation. In related developments, Nothing has confirmed it will launch its next-generation flagship smartphone, the Phone (3), later this summer. The announcement was made via a video posted on Android's official YouTube channel, featuring a 'Device Showcase' segment in which Nothing CEO Carl Pei appeared with a blurred-out device in hand, teasing the upcoming release.

Nothing's next audio products might be what audiophiles have been waiting for

Nothing is back in the spotlight as hype builds for the upcoming Phone (3). While there is still no official launch date, Carl Pei has just dropped a major hint – the next Phone is aiming straight for the flagship segment (price-wise, that is). But that is not the only surprise. Nothing also announced a brand-new partnership that could reshape its audio lineup in a big way. The company has teamed up with legendary British audio brand KEF. Founded in 1961, KEF is well-known for its high-end audio gear – everything from HiFi speakers and subwoofers to sound bars, headphones and more. This new collaboration aims to blend KEF's deep audio expertise with Nothing's signature design-forward approach. – Andrew Freshwater, Head of Smart Products Marketing at Nothing, May 2025 Now, the big question is what these products might be, right? Well, according to both companies, the partnership will help Nothing branch out into new audio categories – which probably means we are looking at more than just earbuds. A Bluetooth speaker or a pair of over-ear headphones would make a lot of sense and would fill a gap in Nothing's current product lineup. I can imagine something sleek looking and with great sound that can rival Apple's AirPods Max, for example. Can you? And KEF's involvement also opens the door for Nothing earbuds that are tuned by real audio experts – which could take sound quality up a notch. Over the past year or so, Nothing has made it clear that it's taking audio more seriously. The Nothing Ear (a) already delivers solid sound at a great price and the regular Nothing Ear packs a bunch of smart features for a bit more money. KEF, on the other hand, is known for making amazing-sounding headphones, but they've often lacked the smart features people expect today. So if Nothing plans to go more premium – whether that is with new earbuds or a full set of over-ears – I think KEF is the right kind of partner to make sure the sound lives up to the hype while Nothing takes care of the smarts.
