Diljit Dosanjh's exit from No Entry 2 CONFIRMED, Anees Bazmee reveals shocking details

No Entry was a film that left us in tears because of the hysterical laughter that came with it. So, when the makers confirmed No Entry 2, fans were super thrilled for it. What led to the excitement to reach a notch higher was the reports of the casting. It was said that Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh will headline the film. But all hearts were shattered after reports of Chamkila's star exit made rounds. Now, director Anees Bazmee has spilt some beans about his meeting with the singer-turned-actor. Talking to News 18, Anees Bazmee confirmed Diljit Dosanjh 's exit from No Entry 2. He also confessed to not being upset with him walking out. The Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and 3 directors further added that this is not the first time that he has worked with an actor who wasn't the initial choice of the film. But the fact that the film is getting made is giving him pure joy. Anees exclaimed that he works with a lot of earnestness and leaves the rest to God. On having had to work sometimes with his second and third choices, the director stated, 'Once these films got released, audiences felt that those actors fit the characters perfectly and nobody else could've pulled off those parts the way they did.' Bazmee recalls his meeting with Diljit Dosanjh for the film, and it's proof that both of them really wanted it to work out. The director, revealing about his second meeting with the Punjabi singer, which lasted 10 seconds, said that Dosanjh expressed his concerns over date issues. 'We were discussing his dates because there was a bit of back and forth. He told me that he's trying to work out his dates. Boney ji was also there,' told Anees Bazmee. He also seemed unaffected by every development of the film becoming big news. He exclaimed that whatever has to happen will happen, and that will be good. But has Diljit stepping out of the film soured his equation with Anees? Well, nothing of this sort seems to have happened with Bazmee, who still holds him in high regard and considers him a very honest and talented actor. Talking about their first meeting, Anees revealed that they just sat down for 20 minutes, and the singer did not even listen to the full script. He understood the story and instantly agreed to do the film. Now all eyes are on Anees as fans are eagerly waiting to hear an official announcement of the casting and who will replace Dosanjh.

Anees Bazmee On Diljit Dosanjh's No Entry 2 Rumoured Exit : 'I Never Give Clarification'

Last Updated: Anees Bazmee reveals Diljit Dosanjh had agreed to do No Entry 2 even before he could finish narrating the script to him and that he still holds him in high regard. A while back, reports started doing the rounds that Diljit Dosanjh has made an exit from No Entry 2 co-starring Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor due to creative differences with the makers. But producer Boney Kapoor slammed these speculations and clarified, 'Yes, there are date issues, but certainly no creative differences. That is absolutely false. We are trying our best to work the dates out." But seems like Diljit couldn't clear his choc-o-bloc schedule and now the makers may finally be moving on to their next choice. Now, speaking exclusively to News18 Showsha, director Anees Bazmee says that he isn't 'upset' with Diljit's exit. In fact, this isn't the first time that he's having to work with an actor who wasn't part of the original casting decision. 'I'm just happy that the film is getting made. There's no bigger joy than that. At this point, woh hi ho raha hai jo upar waala chahta hai. I work with a lot of earnestness and I leave the rest to god. It's not like the films that I've only worked with actors who've been my first choices on the films I've done so far," he tells us. Without worrying too much about it, Anees is choosing to look at the silver lining and is waiting to take No Entry 2 on floors 'very soon'. 'I've had to work with actors who were my second and even third choices. But once these films got released, audiences felt that those actors fit the characters perfectly and nobody else could've pulled off those parts the way they did," adds the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Welcome maker. Recalling his meeting with Diljit where the Amar Singh Chamkila actor expressed his concern over date issues, Anees shares, 'Our last meeting, which was the second time that we met, lasted for 10 minutes. We were discussing his dates because there was a bit of back and forth. He told me that he's trying to work out his dates. Boney ji was also there. Since it's a big film, everything that happens makes news. I'm used to do these things and I don't let such things bother me. Main kabhi safaiyaan nahi deta. Jo hona hai, woh hi hoga aur jo hoga, achcha hi hoga. (I never give clarifications. Whatever is meant to happen, will happen and whatever happens, will be for the best)" And this episode hasn't soured Anees' equation with Diljit, who still holds him in high regard. 'Diljit is a very honest human being and he's a very talented actor. In all my life, I've met him for just 20 minutes. The first time I met him was when I went to narrate the script to him. He didn't even listen to the full script. He told me, 'Kahaani samajh aa gayi hai. Aap picture bana rahe hai. Teen heroes hai. Comedy hai. No Entry dekh ke hum kitne hasse hai.' And he instantly agreed to do the film. He's such a simple guy," Anees remarks. First Published: June 03, 2025, 05:50 IST

Peshawar teen among Libya boat tragedy victims

PESHAWAR: Anees Khan, a 19-year-old from Peshawar, became yet another victim of the perilous journey in pursuit of a prosperous life in Italy. He was among those who tragically drowned off the coast of Libya after a boat capsized. Anees, along with three friends, was attempting to reach Italy illegally when the incident occurred. Sadly, he lost his life, while his close friend, Abrar Ahmad, remains missing. Talking to The Express Tribune, his uncle Habibullah said that Anees and his three friends were together when the tragedy struck. Two of the friends were rescued and are currently in the custody of local authorities. "Anees left Peshawar four months ago and would occasionally contact his family through WhatsApp calls. In his last video call, he told his family that he would call them again after entering Italy," he said. Habibullah alleged that travel agents who arranged their journey demanded more money on two occasions. "We were forced to send more money to the agents because of the boys' distress," he added. He also claimed that the agents subjected the boys to physical abuse and extorted money from them. The agents reportedly charged between Rs3 and 4 million to illegally take the boys to Europe. Anees's uncle has appealed to the Pakistani government to take immediate action and bring his dead body back. Noor Muhammad Akakhel, chairman of the Darmangi Village Council, stated that all four boys were from the same area.
