Anees Bazmee On Diljit Dosanjh's No Entry 2 Rumoured Exit : 'I Never Give Clarification'

Anees Bazmee reveals Diljit Dosanjh had agreed to do No Entry 2 even before he could finish narrating the script to him and that he still holds him in high regard.
A while back, reports started doing the rounds that Diljit Dosanjh has made an exit from No Entry 2 co-starring Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor due to creative differences with the makers. But producer Boney Kapoor slammed these speculations and clarified, 'Yes, there are date issues, but certainly no creative differences. That is absolutely false. We are trying our best to work the dates out." But seems like Diljit couldn't clear his choc-o-bloc schedule and now the makers may finally be moving on to their next choice.
Now, speaking exclusively to News18 Showsha, director Anees Bazmee says that he isn't 'upset' with Diljit's exit. In fact, this isn't the first time that he's having to work with an actor who wasn't part of the original casting decision. 'I'm just happy that the film is getting made. There's no bigger joy than that. At this point, woh hi ho raha hai jo upar waala chahta hai. I work with a lot of earnestness and I leave the rest to god. It's not like the films that I've only worked with actors who've been my first choices on the films I've done so far," he tells us.
Without worrying too much about it, Anees is choosing to look at the silver lining and is waiting to take No Entry 2 on floors 'very soon'. 'I've had to work with actors who were my second and even third choices. But once these films got released, audiences felt that those actors fit the characters perfectly and nobody else could've pulled off those parts the way they did," adds the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Welcome maker.
Recalling his meeting with Diljit where the Amar Singh Chamkila actor expressed his concern over date issues, Anees shares, 'Our last meeting, which was the second time that we met, lasted for 10 minutes. We were discussing his dates because there was a bit of back and forth. He told me that he's trying to work out his dates. Boney ji was also there. Since it's a big film, everything that happens makes news. I'm used to do these things and I don't let such things bother me. Main kabhi safaiyaan nahi deta. Jo hona hai, woh hi hoga aur jo hoga, achcha hi hoga. (I never give clarifications. Whatever is meant to happen, will happen and whatever happens, will be for the best)"
And this episode hasn't soured Anees' equation with Diljit, who still holds him in high regard. 'Diljit is a very honest human being and he's a very talented actor. In all my life, I've met him for just 20 minutes. The first time I met him was when I went to narrate the script to him. He didn't even listen to the full script. He told me, 'Kahaani samajh aa gayi hai. Aap picture bana rahe hai. Teen heroes hai. Comedy hai. No Entry dekh ke hum kitne hasse hai.' And he instantly agreed to do the film. He's such a simple guy," Anees remarks.

Pankaj Tripathi opens up about long working hours amid Deepika-Vanga's Spirit row

Actor Pankaj Tripathi has joined the ongoing conversation in the film industry about maintaining a healthy work-life balance. This comes after the recent controversy involving Deepika Padukone and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's film 'Spirit'.In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Pankaj Tripathi shared how he has also faced extremely long working hours in the past, sometimes 16 to 18 hours straight. "Kaam mein khiche jaa raha hai. 16 ghanta-18 ghanta ho gaya main laga hua hoon. Main bol bhi raha hoon, actor jaa chuka hai. Labour ruka hua hai. (The work hours are getting stretched. I am working 16–18 hours straight. I'm even saying, the actor has left, there's a labourer here now instead)," he said, jokingly describing how exhausting the shoots can stressed the importance of knowing when to say "no" and drawing a line, respectfully. "Phir laga nahi, abhi toh aap vinamrata purvak bol dijiye ki 'Nahi, itna hi hoga. Humne commit ye kiya tha, commitment humari poori ho gayi. Ab dhanyavaad. Jo bacha hai, kal karenge.' (At this point, you should just politely say, 'No, this is all that can be done. This is what we committed to, and we've fulfilled that commitment. Thank you. Whatever is left, we'll do tomorrow'),' he explained. Earlier, filmmaker Mani Ratnam also supported Deepika, saying her demands were 'not unreasonable' but necessary. 'I'm glad she's in a position to ask for it,' he told News18 Showsha. 'Filmmakers should understand and work around such needs," he was supposed to star opposite Prabhas in 'Spirit', but she walked out of the film shortly after joining. Reports suggested that she had asked for a Rs 20 crore fee, didn't want to deliver dialogues in Telugu, and requested an 8-hour workday. While the first two conditions sparked debates, it was the demand for shorter working hours that became the biggest talking stars like Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, and now Pankaj Tripathi speaking up, it's clear that the topic of fair working hours is gaining attention in Watch

Anees Bazmee breaks silence on Diljit Dosanjh's exit from No Entry 2, denies creative difference: ‘There was an issue…'

Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Diljit Dosanjh were supposed to come together for the shoot of Anees Bazmee's highly anticipated film No Entry 2 in March this year. However, a sudden change in the film's shooting schedule has left it in limbo. Soon after, rumours began swirling about Diljit quitting the film due to creative differences with the makers. Now, in a recent interaction, Anees has cleared the air, insisting that Diljit's exit was due to a scheduling conflict and not creative differences. The filmmaker spoke to India Today and shared that he had only met Diljit for a brief meeting twice. The director revealed that during one of the 10-minute-long meetings, he narrated the film's script to him and the singer-actor readily agreed to do the film. 'He was actually quite eager to be a part of it,' Anees told the publication. However, when quizzed about Diljit Dosanjh's exit from No Entry 2, Anees Bazmee clarified that it was due to date issues. He said, 'He did want to do the film, but when I met him recently, we realised there was an issue with the dates. No Entry 2 is going to be a very big film with a huge cast and crew. There are so many actors, and it's important for us that everyone can come together.' Anees, however, remains hopeful that the makers will sort out the date issues and that Diljit might still star in the film. He shared, 'I think they are figuring out the dates, and I am hopeful it will work out. But whatever happens, it will be for the good. I have that faith for sure.' Like the original film No Entry, No Entry 2 is also bankrolled by Boney Kapoor. During the conversation, Anees Bazmee assured that the film's shooting will begin soon. Lauding Boney Kapoor and speaking about their long-standing partnership, he said, 'I have been with Boney ji (producer Boney Kapoor) for 7-8 years now, working on this film. We have seen many ups and downs, but we are on it. I am the kind of person who sticks to his commitment. And when there's love, you don't think of loss and profit. You just want to be together and make a good film. And trust me, it is going to be a beautiful film and a lot of fun. It's still on paper, so many will not know, but I can assure you it's an amazing story.' No Entry 2 is the sequel to the 2005 hit film No Entry, which starred Anil Kapoor, Salman Khan, and Fardeen Khan in lead roles. While speculations were rife that the makers might repeat the same cast in the sequel, those rumours were quashed with the announcement of a new cast. Boney Kapoor had also admitted that his brother and actor Anil Kapoor was upset with him for not casting him in the sequel.
