The incident occurred around 6 am near the Anchal Chanchal Dhaba under Ramnagar police station area. According to police, an MUV car carrying seven people rammed into a truck, killing four occupants — including a woman — on the spot. Khagaria CO axed for dereliction of duty
Patna: The state revenue and land reforms department on Tuesday suspended Brajesh Kumar Patil , the circle officer (CO) of Khagaria Sadar block, on charges of gross negligence in the performance of his official duties. The action was taken by the department's disciplinary committee based on a probe report submitted by the Khagaria DM's office. A formal suspension letter was issued by Anil Kumar Pandey, joint secretary of the department. Patil is accused of dereliction of duty and failure to perform core responsibilities. Among the allegations are violations of the Bihar Land Mutation Act, negligence in distributing settlement certificates to surveyed families under Abhiyan Basera-2, a scheme aimed at providing land to eligible homeless families, despite departmental directives and failure to complete mobile number and Aadhaar seeding in the online jamabandi system . He has also been charged with failing to monitor the work of amins in e-measurement, adversely impacting revenue collection due to delays in updating jamabandis and ignoring directives from the district public grievance redressal officer. Further charges include not providing land for the construction of Panchayat Sarkar buildings, showing disinterest in updating online rent records and disobeying an order issued by the Patna high court.

Three held for placing iron gate on railway track
Lucknow: Sushant Golf City police on Thursday arrested three suspects believed to have placed a heavy iron gate on railway track near Chaudhary Kheda railway crossing , posing a major risk to train operations. The arrests came two days after a written complaint was filed by Anil Kumar Pandey, station supervisor, reporting the obstruction of train movement due to the placement of an iron gate on the railway line. A case was registered under Sections 151 and 153 of the Railway Act. On Apr 24, acting on a tip-off from an informant, a police team located and arrested three individuals, identified as Chet Ram Rawat alias Chhotu (30), Gulab Chandra Yadav alias Nakka (32), and Lavkush Rawat (30). DCP south zone, Nipun Agarwal, said that during interrogation, the accused admitted to stealing a newly installed iron gate from a boundary wall behind Sector I in the Tulsani area. Metal door on track hits freight train; damages rail line

The matter came to light after a freight train hit the metal door, which led to damage of several pandrol clips that hold rail with concrete sleeper.
