Save your hair this festival season with Typebea's new Dry Shampoo
Metro journalists select and curate the products that feature on our site. If you make a purchase via links on this page we will earn commission – learn more Rita Ora teamed up with Vida Glow founder, Anna Lahey, to launch their own haircare brand in 2024, which has gone from strength to strength. The collection has sold out on numerous occasions due to popular demand, and I think I have a part to play in this because I am whole-heartedly obsessed with the G1 Overnight Peptide Boosting Serum to stimulate healthy hair growth. But there is a new hair launch on the block we think could give the G1 Serum a run for its money as our cult haircare essential – introducing the G5 3-in-1 Dry Shampoo. Typebea has just launched its G5 3-in-1 Dry Shampoo, which bridges the gap between numerous haircare products. It functions as a dry shampoo, hair growth, scalp exfoliator, hair scent, and everything in between. Formulated with scalp-loving ingredients, the G5 Dry Shampoo is a fine mist that soaks up excess oil, while BaicapilTM and amino acids target hair growth from the root, and lactic acid gently exfoliates the scalp and keeps the hair environment clean. It also contains TYPEBEA's signature citrus and bergamot scent for a fresh finish. The ultra fine mist is lightweight on the scalp, doesn't clog the hair follicles, and is super easy to is free from silicone, sulphate and parabens. BUY NOW FOR £26 The G5 Dry Shampoo has been described as an extension of TYPEBEA's Growth collection, as it is not only a dry shampoo, but has been designed to aid hair growth, reduce hair loss by 60% and exfoliate the scalp. Now we know there is some stigma around how good dry shampoo is for the scalp. While some dry shampoos can clog the hair follicles and inhibit hair growth, others can leave the hair with a sheet of white mist, or with a powdery texture. But that is not the case for TYPEBEA's creation. Staying true to the brand, TYPEBEA has infused this dry shampoo with scalp-loving ingredients that are hydrating, exfoliating rather than clogging, and effective in reducing the oil-soaked locks. TYPEBEA has created a Dry Shampoo that soaks up any excess oil that leaves the hair looking greasy, thanks to the inclusion of ultra-fine natural starches, but it has also been formulated with lactic acid that gently exfoliates the scalp to remove any build up of dead skin, sebum and product that can inhibit hair growth. The key ingredient is TYPEBEA's hero active, BaicapilTM, which has been clinically proven to boost hair growth at the root – a feature that is unlike any other dry shampoo we have ever tried (and we have tried a lot!) It also functions to maintain a healthy environment on the scalp for hair to grow. But why stop there? TYPEBEA's G5 also adds volume to the root, which is ideal for those who don't like a flat hairstyle. Alongside the appearance of dry, clean and voluminous locks, this Dry Shampoo also reduces the appearance of frizz and flyaways, without leaving any white case. Some Dry Shampoo's have a musky scent, but the power duo have infused this new drop with the brand's signature scent, which boasts notes of bergamot, wood, and citrus scents so your hair smells fresh and fragrant (in the best way) with every sassy hair flick. More Trending The multi-functional product emits an uber-fine mist, which is light on the hair and scalp, nor does it disrupt the existing style. Like most dry shampoos it is advised to shake well before use, spray onto the roots from 15cm away, then brush through. Simple right? It is rare for a new product to be on offer, but TYPEBEA really is breaking from tradition in more ways than one, as there is an exclusive offer to save you more on select hair products, but only for Metro readers (aren't you lucky?) From now until 24th June, Metro readers can get 20% off two products, and we strongly recommend the G5 Dry Shampoo and the G1 Overnight Serum. The one-time offer is available to all customers, though it cannot be used alongside any other discounts, and it has to be a minimum purchase of £26. Celebrity-owned beauty brand sends shoppers wild over must-have item with surprising feature: 'OMG yes I've been waiting for this
The brand only launched a little over a year ago, but it has already become a cult favourite in beauty circles. Now, TYPEBEA has unveiled its latest innovative product and fans are thrilled with the newest addition to the popular range. TYPEBEA, created by singer Rita Ora and Australian beauty entrepreneur Anna Lahey, has unveiled a dry shampoo containing the cult haircare brand's hero ingredient to promote growth. The G·5 3-in-1 Dry Shampoo not only refreshes and adds volume to hair, but it contains nourishing ingredients to support hair health and feels luxurious to use too. After teasing the latest drop across socials, fans were quick to share their joy when the dry shampoo was finally unveiled. One wrote:'Yes!!! Obsessed!' another shared: 'OMGGGG YAYYY,' while a third branded the buy simply 'Sensational'. Delivered in an ultra-fine mist, the dry shampoo is packed with ingredients that support hair growth and gentle exfoliants to ensure a cleansed scalp. The fast absorbing product soaks up oil, sweat and odour without leaving behind residue or white cast that many other brands do. G·5 3-in-1 Dry Shampoo's hero ingredient is a three per cent dose of Baicapil: a blend of scutellaria baicalensis (Baikal skullcap, a plant native to East Asia used in Traditional Chinese Medicine), soy and wheat sprouts. TYPEBEA's G·5 3-in-1 Dry Shampoo uses the brand's hero ingredient, Baicapil, to support healthy hair growth The potent formulation works to stimulate hair growth, increase hair density, reduce hair loss and support healthier looking hair. It includes Lactic Acid to gently exfoliate and removes excess product and dead skin cells. A buildup of these on the scalp leads to oily roots and can prevent healthy hair growth. Free from sulphates, silicones and parabens, the $50 product ($42.50 with a subscription) cleanses the scalp while absorbing oil and adding lift to the roots. Unlike other dry shampoos which can be damaging to hair and act to mask unclean tresses, TYPEBEA's G·5 3-in-1 Dry Shampoo, cleans, nourishes and protects. This allows users to benefit from the brand's TYPEBEA's signature scent of citrus, bergamot and wood ensure hair smells as fresh as it looks, while the formulation leaves strands soft and shiny. The potent formulation works to increase hair density and reduce hair loss by 60 per cent, while Lactic Acid gently exfoliates and removes excess product and dead skin cells Easy to use— you simply shake, spray roots from 15cm away, leave for a few moments, then brush through for refreshed and revived hair. The haircare brand's first product, the G·1 Overnight Boosting Peptide Hair Serum, became an instant bestseller. Customers reported 'visible regrowth' and 'less shedding' after using the $80 leave-in serum regularly. The hair growth range also includes a shampoo, conditioner and hydra-gloss treatment mask. TYPEBEA followed up the hugely successful launch collection with two styling products, which they released earlier this year. The S·1 Ultimate Styling Serum and the S·2 Sea Salt Texture Mist are formulated with performance-driven actives to deliver a 'quick-fix, flawless finish' that will cut your getting-ready routine down to mere moments. To buy G·5 3-in-1 Dry Shampoo and shop the full haircare range, visit the TYPEBEA website.

Rita Ora's best-selling haircare brand TYPEBEA just launched a dry shampoo that can reduce hair loss by 60 per cent
Move over, second-day hair. The most talked-about haircare launch of the year has officially landed, and it's got Rita Ora's seal of approval. TYPEBEA, the performance-led beauty brand co-founded by global music star Rita Ora and Aussie beauty entrepreneur Anna Lahey, has just released its most requested product to date: The G·5 3-in-1 Dry Shampoo. Not only is it the brand's first-ever dry shampoo, it's also the first true 3-in-1 formula to hit shelves in Australia. And yes, it is as game-changing as it sounds. Designed for people with jam-packed calendars and back-to-back workout classes, this multitasking dry shampoo does more than just soak up oil. It revives hair from root to end, giving it that just-washed look without the actual wash. Whether you're coming from h ot yoga or pushing day five of a blow-dry, G·5 promises fresh, lifted, shiny hair that smells divine. The ultra-fine mist gets to work fast, absorbing oil, odour and sweat without leaving behind that dreaded white cast or gritty residue. You'll just see (and feel) soft, bouncy, clean hair with a healthy shine and TYPEBEA's signature scent, a fresh, zingy mix of citrus, bergamot and woods that basically doubles as perfume. Growth Active Ingredients But what makes this dry shampoo a true standout is that it's not just about quick fixes. TYPEBEA is known for its science-backed growth system, and the G·5 is an extension of that. It includes the brand's hero ingredient, BaicapilTM, a clinically proven active that helps reduce hair loss by up to 60 per cent and supports healthier, fuller hair growth. While most dry shampoos can clog hair follicles and irritate the scalp, G·5 has been carefully formulated to support your scalp health rather than sabotage it. There's Lactic Acid to gently exfoliate and remove buildup, and that same powerful dose of BaicapilTM to ensure your roots are still thriving underneath it all. TYPEBEA is delivering a dry shampoo that doesn't just hide the problem, but actually supports long-term hair goals. At $50, it's a solid investment in your haircare routine. But for a limited time, TYPEBEA is offering 15 per cent off the G·5 3-in-1 Dry Shampoo when you use the code TYPEBEA15 at checkout. Just make sure you act fast, the offer ends 11:59 pm AEST on June 12. With its combination of instant refresh, scalp-loving ingredients and proven growth support, this might just be the first dry shampoo worth raving about.

typebea haircare styling review
These products are hand-picked by our team to help make shopping easier. We may receive payments from third parties for sharing this content and when you purchase through links in this article. Product prices and offer details are not assured, and should be confirmed independently with the retailer. Learn more It seems there's always a new 'must-have' hair product out on the market claiming to protect and style your tresses with minimum effort. Having long, thick, and usually very dry hair, I'm open to anything. But I have to say, I'm yet to find my absolute go-to item. My locks have a natural wave and while I love a tousled 'beachy' look, if I leave my hair to dry naturally it only looks good until around lunchtime. After that, well, it's just a mess. And the next day? Forget about it. On the other hand, I find using heat to dry and style my hair such a chore. I'm a busy working mum with little time for lengthy styling, so any good hair styles that I achieve are a fluke. Basically, I'm in desperate need of hair help. So when I got the opportunity to test the Effortless Styling Kit by TYPEBEA, I was more than a little excited. The sellout brand created by dynamic duo, celebrity Rita Ora and beauty entrepreneur, Anna Lahey, what's not to love? I mean have you seen the hair on those women? This set, consisting of the S1 Ultimate Styling Serum and S2 Sea Salt Texture Mist, has become insanely popular. Both products can be used for either air or heat drying, while protecting and caring for your hair at the same time. That alone sounds like hair heaven. But despite the mega TikTok hype, are these the products really going to revolutionise my hair styling routine – and ultimately my hectic life? I couldn't wait to find out. WHAT PRODUCTS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS SET? The Effortless Styling Kit consists of the following two products: S1 Ultimate Styling Serum, $40 at Typebea This is a creamy hair serum in a pump container that you apply to damp or dry hair for a smooth and flyaway-free look. It's designed to tame frizz, protect hair from heat and UV, speed up drying time and strengthen your hair. A lightweight sea salt spray that you apply to either damp or dry hair in order to achieve a beachy look with natural waves and texture, just without the annoying fuzz. HOW DID I USE THESE PRODUCTS? I used both of these products for a month on both dry and wet hair to achieve either a smooth or wavy finish, depending on the look I was after. HOW DID THE PRODUCTS PERFORM? S2 SEA SALT TEXTURE MIST I've tried all sorts of beach hair type products and they usually make my hair feel heavy and leave me with crunchy, sticky, uncontrollable tresses. I usually can't wait to wash out the products the next day. However the S2 Seat Salt Texture Mist was an entirely different story. I washed and towel dried my hair and then simply sprayed the product – which is a very gentle mist – all over my hair, including the ends and scalp. I then scrunched my hair and let it dry. That was about it – so simple and the result was amazing. My hair dried much faster and didn't feel gluggy or sticky, instead it was soft, light and hydrated. And best of all, it fell into beautiful natural waves straight from the beach – just with much less frizz. Plus it has a delicious scent – my kids have said many times over the past month that my hair smells so good! The time saving factor was also a bonus. It doesn't take any time to achieve this look and it was wearable for more than one day. Finally, I can do a beachy hair before work or going out without looking like I have – well, just arrived from the beach. S1 ULTIMATE STYLING SERUM The S1 Ultimate Styling Serum was a huge surprise for me. I'd been so focused on achieving the perfect beach hair, I wasn't expecting the sheer magnificence of this product. I have to say, it's one of the best styling products for smooth hair I've ever tried. I applied a couple of pumps to damp hair, then heat styled my locks using a blow dry brush. My hair usually takes a while to blow dry but this serum honestly reduced the drying time. Plus, it left my tresses smooth and so well styled. Even better, the look lasted for a week! It doesn't feel sticky and you can apply in between blow dries to tame sneaky flyaways or frizz. The other day, I used this when I heat dried my hair – but later got caught in a shower of rain and my smooth hair started to fizz. So I simply added a little more S1 Ultimate Styling Serum and gave a it a quick blow dry – perfect. The following day after early morning training in the park, I simply applied a little more serum, on the go, before running out the door to work and my hair was frizz-free. It's a revelation! On another occasion, after applying the spray for my beachy waves, I also used the serum on the ends and on top of my head to further reduce the frizz and it was incredible. All in all, the perfect hair combo for a range of looks. THE FINAL VERDICT What can I say, I absolutely love these hair products. They're like my new best friends who have swept in and completely changed my life. They're both easy to use and super effective. And they look after my usually parched hair, leaving it soft, manageable and frizz-free. With the S2 Sea Salt Texture Mist I can achieve the tousled beach holiday hair without the frizz and it's suitable not just for balmy summer days, but also for work or going out to dinner. My hair feels soft despite the spray, unlike other beach hair products that leave my locks feeling heavy, sticky or crunchy. My waves remain soft, defined and luscious and my hair looks nourished and hydrated. On the other hand, the S1 Ultimate Styling Serum is equally astounding. A couple of pumps on my hair before heat drying and my hair is smooth, soft and immaculately styled. It's great for applying on the run to keep hair under control – and when air drying to deal with pesky runaway strands. To top it off, the products are reasonably priced at $40 each – or can be purchased together in the Effortless Styling Kit for $72 currently (down from $80). You can also subscribe and save on the price – and if you're not happy, you have 21 days to get a refund. I'd like to say they will last for quite a while except I'm currently using them absolutely everyday so we'll see how it goes! WILL I KEEP USING THESE PRODUCTS? Yes, yes, yes! With a huge amount of hair and very little time to look after it, these products are like a dream come true. Not only are they easy to use and drastically cut my drying time, they make my hair look fabulous for whatever look I want to achieve. Plus, they actually look after my hair at the same time, leaving it in good condition and appearing well maintained. For a busy working mum, life (and hair) does not get much better. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS CAN I USE THESE TWO PRODUCTS TOGETHER? According to TYPEBEA you most definitely can and I certainly found them to be an excellent team. The recommendation is to apply the S1 Ultimate Styling Serum first to condition and protect the hair, followed by the S2 Sea Salt Mist for soft tousled texture. IS IT BETTER TO APPLY THE S2 SEA SALT TEXTURE MIST TO WET OR DRY HAIR? You can do either, by spraying onto hair from root to tip and scrunching for natural waves. However, the team at TYPEBEA suggest that you will get more texture if applied to damp or wet hair. WHAT HAIR TYPES ARE THESE STYLING PRODUCTS SUITABLE FOR? These product s are suitable for all hair types whether your tresses are straight, wavy, curly, fine, thick, short, long, colour-treated or extended. The products have been formulated for, and tested on all hair types. CAN I USE THESE STYLING PRODUCTS WITH COLOURED HAIR? Absolutely, these products are safe to use on coloured hair – I can vouch for that! Looking for more great beauty deals? This celebrity-created hair serum helped my 15-year battle with Trichotillomania

If you make a purchase using links on this page, will earn an affiliate commission. Click here for more information. Earlier this year, after a visit to the talented Trichologist Hannah Gaboardi, I was told my hair pulling habits were a trait of Trichotillomania. While my case isn't severe, over time this could have a serious impact on my hair growth and scalp health. This 'anxious tick', as some told me I had, was a self soothing mechanism when I felt nervous, stressed, or was bored. I would seek out split ends, pull them like a thread to see the frayed ends ladder, or pull out the entire hair strand. I was told it annoyed people watching me pull out strands, or leave a trail of hair in my wake. I was even told by former colleagues it looked like I had a receding hairline because I was pulling at my fringe so frequently in the office. I have tried fidget spinners, ditched coffee, had hypnotherapy, among other stress management techniques to quit the habit, but no avail. I have tried countless hair growth supplements, collagen sachets, serums and shampoos to stimulate hair growth, to undo the damage. So far, only one haircare product has proved to be my saving grace: TypeBea's G1 Overnight Boosting Peptide serum. BUY NOW FOR £34.40 (WAS £43) Trichotillomania is damaging because tugging at each strand can cause the hair follicle and scalp to become inflamed. Pulling out the hair also impacts the hair growth cycle, can cause scarring and result in the hair follicle closing altogether. Although my hair wasn't at this stage, the hair expert noticed some inflamed areas around the sides of my head, and she warned if I continued this habit I would, in time, be facing more serious irreparable damage later on. After this wake-up call I set to work finding an effective solution, and the launch of TypeBea was perfectly timed. TYPEBEA launched in the UK earlier this year, and is the brainchild of Vida Glow founder Anna Lahey and Rita Ora – an interesting partnership, but the backing of Anna intrigued me. The G1 serum – otherwise known as the Overnight Boosting Peptide Serum – is part of the brand's six-piece collection. It is a lightweight formula that is non-stick or greasy, but aims to stimulate hair growth no matter your hair type. Infused with Baicapil and nourishing peptides, this leave-in treatment works to penetrate the scalp, promote healthy hair growth, increase the hair thickness and prevent hair loss. The G1 serum is free from parabens, silicone, and sulphate for a gentle haircare solution. TYPEBEA has claimed it can prevent hair loss by up to 60%, which are impressive claims. While I would typically swat such bold statements away, I have witnessed first-hand how fast-acting this product is, as I noticed visible results rapidly. Admittedly, I was dubious about yet another hair growth serum at first, but within one month of using the serum, I noticed fine baby hairs growing along my hairline. I applied a few drops of the pH-balancing liquid formula along my hairline, as well as the areas I tend to pick at, massaged into my scalp and let it sit overnight. There really isn't much to it, which is why I was so surprised to see new hair sprouting up so quickly. This serum doesn't need to be washed out, and it doesn't even need to be applied on clean hair, or wet locks, which is unlike other hair growth treatments I have tried, and makes it super easy to use. It is suitable for all hair textures, types and lengths, as well as on coloured and treated hair too. More Trending I thought the first few months were a fluke, and put those new tufts down to just standard hair growth. Fast-forward a few months and the hair growth has amazed me. I've even visited a separate expert Trichologist at Phillip Kingsley who told me my hair density is now 'phenomenal', as my parting is full. This was the reassurance I needed, as it is a sign my hair, and scalp, have not suffered irreparable damage despite decades of hair pulling. By no means am I saying this is a cure for hair conditions, such as alopecia, and I am aware there are other factors involved in hair loss, such as diet, environment, and genetics. But, in my experience, TYPEBEA's serum has worked wonders and I will continue to use until the end of time. Ever the bargain hunter, I have found the G1 Serum in stock and on sale for £34.40 down from £43 at Debenhams. Though TYPEBEA's G1 Overnight Serum comes with a heftier price tag compared to rival brands, it's worth every penny in my books, so shop fast if you want healthy and fuller tresses.
