Jogulamba Temple to Inaugurate New Annadanam Block on July 31 with Grand Vedic Ceremonies

Gadwal: In an important development for devotees, the management of the Jogulamba Temple has officially announced the relocation of its ongoing Annadanam (free meal service) program to a newly constructed facility. As per a press note released by temple authorities, the Annadanam program currently being held at the old dining facility will be shifted to the Annadanam Block located within the newly built Prasadam Scheme Building. The shift to the new facility is scheduled to take place on Thursday, July 31, 2025, following a series of religious rituals and auspicious ceremonies. The temple priests have decided the muhurtham (auspicious time) for the commencement of the Annadanam program in the new premises. Schedule of Ceremonial Events: Wednesday, July 30, 2025: Religious rituals will begin on the preceding day at the new building premises. Events are scheduled as follows: 8:00 AM onwards: Maha Ganapati Pooja Punyahavachanam (purification ritual) Samprokshanam (sprinkling of holy water) Ritwik Varanam (invitation of Vedic scholars) Maha Kalasha Sthapana (installation of sacred pots) Vastu Mantaparchana (worship of building space) Ganapati, Navagraha, Vastu, and Rudra Homams (fire rituals to various deities) Thursday, July 31, 2025: 4:34 AM: Go (cow) Puja and Griha Pravesham (auspicious entry into the building) 11:00 AM: Poornahuti (final offering of the homam rituals) 12:00 Noon: Kalyanotsavam (divine celestial wedding) of Sri Jogulamba and Bala Brahmeshwara Swamy 1:00 PM: Commencement of Annadanam (mass feeding) for devotees in the new dining block Important Note: Temple authorities have clarified that from July 31, 2025, onwards, the daily Annadanam program will be conducted exclusively in the new Annadanam Block located within the Prasadam Scheme Building. This shift is aimed at providing improved facilities and better service to the devotees visiting the temple. The new building has been designed to accommodate a larger number of visitors and ensure a more hygienic and spiritually vibrant environment for the sacred meal service. Devotees and the general public are cordially invited to participate in the ceremonies and receive divine blessings.

Bhimavaram: West Godavari district collector Chadalawada Nagarani has urged charitable individuals to register as P4 mentors. She came to know about Annadana services being continued by Tulasi Rambabu at Veeravasaram and visited the venue on Wednesday. She congratulated his family. She tasted the food items. She enquired Rambabu on details of his food donation. Rambabu explained that for the last five years, food items have been served at their homes to about 200 elderly people and those who cannot prepare food in 18 villages of Veeravasaram mandal. He said that along with vegetables, non-vegetarian curry is also being served every Wednesday and Sunday. He said that besides cooking every day, food in steel boxes is sent to the homes of the needy, which is enough for two meals. He said that five staff members have been appointed for all the work of preparing the food, packing food, and taking it in an auto. It costs about Rs 8,000 to 10,000 per day to prepare and serve meals to 200 people, and it costs about Rs 30 lakh to 35 lakh per year. He said that this programme has been continued for the last five years without collecting or accepting any donations from anyone, by the grace of God. Speaking on the occasion, Collector Nagarani said that Annadanam is the greatest of all charities, and it is a great thing for a person to continuously carry out such a great work for the last five years. Looking at the service programme organised by Rambabu, he reminds us of the P-4 programme launched by the Chief Minister. On the occasion, she called upon charitable individuals to come forward to register as P4 mentors as per the call of the Chief Minister. Veeravasaram Tahsildar Ramanjaneyulu, MPP Veeravalli Durga Bhavani, Rambabu's wife Varalakshmi, daughter Govardhini, father Srirama Murthy, and others were present on this occasion.

Gadwal: A grand hundi counting session was conducted today at the renowned temple premises, yielding a total revenue of ₹72,50,619 over a span of 120 days. The income was generated from various hundis located within the temple complex. According to the official report: Sri Swami Vari Hundi contributed a sum of ₹9,76,819 Sri Ammavari Hundi garnered ₹62,32,658 Annadanam Satrama Hundi received ₹41,142 In addition to the Indian currency collections, the hundi offerings included foreign currency, 20 grams of mixed gold, and 380 grams of mixed silver. This organized and transparent counting process was conducted under the supervision of Sri Madeshwar Reddy, Assistant Commissioner of the Endowments Department, Mahabubnagar district. Several key officials and members participated in the counting process: Purender Kumar, Executive Officer of the temple B. Nageshwar Reddy, Temple Chairman Temple trustees: Gopal, Jagan Mohan Naidu, Chandrasekhar Reddy, Smt. Naga Shiromani, and K. Jayaramudu Deputy Chief Priest & Ex-officio Member D. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Trust Board, which met on Tuesday, took several significant decisions aimed at improving facilities for pilgrims and streamlining its operations. Addressing the media on the deliberations of the meeting, TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu and Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao said that the Trust Board decided to constitute a sub-committee with experts to explore the feasibility of constructing the Vaikuntam Queue Complex-III to cater to the increasing pilgrim rush. Cybersecurity lab The Trust Board gave its nod for setting up a cybersecurity laboratory to protect pilgrims from fraud. Additionally, the TTD is planning to construct lounges with all facilities at pivotal centres, enhance lighting and security along the trekking routes, and build an administrative building at Tirumala to bring various departments under one roof, The TTD has decided to demolish several structures, including Balaji and Ampro guest houses, Kalyanai Choultry and six blocks in the HVDC area, as per the recommendations of IIT experts. In a major decision, it has recommended the regularisation of the services of 142 contract drivers in the TTD to the government, as per the directions of the High Court. The Trust Board decided to organise daily 'Annadanam' at the temple of Lord Kodandaswamy at Vontimitta in Kadapa district and sanctioned ₹4.35 crore for the purpose. Furthermore, it decided to constitute a sub-committee to oversee the construction of Lord Venkateswara temples in various countries and chalk out a master plan for the development of Silathoranam and Chakra Theertham. Other key decisions include creating four coordinator posts on a contract basis to strengthen the Srivari Seva wing, improving facilities at the Kalyanakatta, and releasing funds for the construction of temples in SC, ST, and backwards colonies under the SRIVANI Trust. The trust will provide funds in three categories—₹10 lakh, ₹15 lakh, and ₹20 lakh, as per the directions of the Endowments Department. Additionally, ₹2.16 crore will be distributed among unemployed Veda Parayanamdars to preserve the Vedas.

In a significant step towards strengthening infrastructure to meet the long-term energy needs of the hill temple, Chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Trust Board B.R. Naidu on Thursday performed 'Bhoomi Puja' for setting up a state-of-the-art 45 metric tonne LPG storage facility at Tirumala. The facility being developed on the outer ring road, in collaboration with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹8.13 crore in over 1.86 acres of land and completed in six months. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Naidu said that the IOCL has been a consistent supplier of LPG to the TTD since the past two decades and has now entered into a 30-year fresh agreement to ensure uninterrupted supply of LPG which he said will be primarily used in the preparation of the famed Tirumala laddu prasadam and at its daily Annadanam (community meals) complex and added that the initiative is expected to save a projected ₹1.5 crore annually in operational costs. IOCL Marketing Director V. Satish Kumar highlighted the corporation's ongoing commitment to sustainable practices. 'IOCL is already constructing a ₹12.05 crore bio-gas plant near the Tirumala dumping yard. Of the 55 tonnes of wet waste generated daily, 40 tonnes will be diverted to this new facility, which shall generate around 1,000 kilograms of bio-gas every day,' he explained. Several advanced safety and operational features will be incorporated at the LPG storage plant like — a 45 MT mounted storage vessels, 1,500 kg vaporizer, firefighting systems with sprinklers, dual water tanks, diesel generator, remote operating valves, gas leakage detection alarms, tanker decantation systems, CCTV surveillance, Gas Management System (GMS), Terminal Facility Monitoring System (TFMS) and Integrated Level Safety Device (ILSD). Also present at the event were TTD Chief Engineer TVV Satyanarayana and officials from both TTD and IOCL.
