What surrounds me, the countryside, land, stock and people. And horses And horses, And horses." Viewers will witness the transformation unfold on screen as Channel Four has officially greenlit the continuation of the family's television programme, Our Farm Next Door. ‌ The reality renovation programme has secured commissioning for two additional series on More4. In the third and fourth instalments of Our Farm Next Door, cameras document the Owen clan as they tackle their massive interior overhaul, mapping out layouts and designs whilst fitting plumbing and water systems. ‌ The programme also chronicles the everyday agricultural existence of Amanda, her former spouse Clive and their nine fast-growing offspring in the isolated Yorkshire Dales. Writing a heartfelt message to supporters, Amanda said: "I am beyond delighted that we have been given the opportunity to showcase this unique and beautiful part of our British countryside." She continued: "And for people to join us on our exciting journey through the restoration of our farm next door. "We're grateful for Channel 4's support and the effort and utter dedication of the film crew who have had to work in challenging weather conditions, coupled with the unimaginable chaos of both children and animals. This is a programme that I am seriously proud of."

Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen sad over devastating farm discovery 'it's a tragedy'

Amanda Owen was left emotional as she discovered the tragic reason why the original owner of Anty John's came back to live in the farmhouse Amanda Owen was visibly moved as she and her youngest daughter, Clemmie, made a heartbreaking discovery on their farm. ‌ In a repeat episode of Our Farm Next Door airing tonight, the mother-daughter duo delved into the history of Anty John's, a run-down farmhouse they're currently restoring. ‌ Their friend and historian, Derek, unearthed the diary of Anthony Clarkson, the original owner of Anty John's, revealing a sorrowful tale. ‌ The trio learned that Anthony returned home after his father's death, a story that resonated deeply with them. Derek shared with Clemmie: "Anthony Clarkson, whom you know all about. He used to stay with his brothers in some of the cottages here in Stonesdale," reports the Manchester Evening News. "You're a family of nine children, aren't you? He was a family of nine as well." ‌ As Derek showed them Anthony's original diary, Amanda remarked, "That's the first time Clem has actually seen the original. It's been a long time getting to this place. I feel like the connection now will be even stronger." Derek continued: "The very end part of his diary, he regularly used to stay with his brothers, and then he would walk across the top to Anty John's. ‌ "What we're hoping to do is to actually retrace some of that part of the route. Let's see if we can paint a better picture of what was actually going on at the time." "When his father died here in 1818, things changed," Derek revealed about Anthony's life, prompting Amanda to add: "That brought him back, didn't it?" ‌ Anthony continued: "That brought him back, and he spent a lot of time here." "Can you imagine that?" Amanda said before adding, "He's away from his school teaching, and he finds out his dad has died." Whilst portions of Anthony's diary proved challenging to decipher, Derek managed to make out some sections using a magnifying glass. ‌ Handing it to Amanda, she read aloud: "So, Friday, the sixth of February, I went up and met my nephew, John. He came with the melancholy news of my father's death. He died this morning, about seven o'clock." Sharing her own reflections, the mother of nine added: "So it obviously wasn't expected. It was a big surprise, a shock. "Oh, so suddenly he's got to return and begin making choices about what's going to become of his father's inheritance, essentially, what's going to become of the farm. "So it all started with something of a tragedy. His dad passing away. He returns, and Anthony has acquired what we call Anty John's." Our Farm Next Door is available to watch on All4.

Amanda Owen gathers whole family for 'momentous' home update

Amanda Owen said it was "momentous" as she gathered her family for an important announcement during the final episode of Our Farm Next Door The much-loved reality show Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids rounded off its second series on Tuesday. First gracing screens in 2018, Our Yorkshire Farm shares the unique lifestyle of Clive and Amanda Owen alongside their nine children on their secluded sheep farm in Yorkshire. ‌ Amanda and Clive are parents to nine children: Raven, Reuben, Miles, Edith, Violet, Sidney, Annas, Clementine, and Nancy. The popular documentary series wrapped up in 2022 following Amanda and Clive's separation. ‌ Still captivating audiences, the Owens have returned with the next chapter of their lives in Our Farm Next Door, charting the family's adventures as they renovate a historic farmhouse nestled in the idyllic countryside of the Yorkshire Dales. The 1800s property is located in Swaledale near Ravenseat Farm and it is named Anty John after a former owner called Anthony John Clarkson, reports Leeds Live. In the closing episode of series two on Tuesday evening, Amanda brought the whole clan together to reveal the latest developments in their ongoing renovation after 20 months of hard work. Even in the middle of the busy lambing season, Amanda found time for her family to gather at Anty John's and reflect, commenting: "There's a lot going on but we have managed to make time today to gather everybody, the whole family, to come to Anty John's. So this is quite momentous really. "There's a little bit more warmth, things are greening up a little bit, so it's all about new life and new starts and all the rest of it. So I guess that ties in very nicely with Anty John's as that's certainly a new beginning." ‌ As the family came together for an outdoor picnic on their land, Clive remarked: "Ay, it looks well now, doesn't it?" while conversing with Richard, Kelly, and David who were also present at the property. Reflecting on the journey, Amanda mused: "I suppose to reflect really on how far we've got and how far we've got to go", acknowledging that the restoration process has been a "huge learning curve". ‌ In the midst of this reflection, there was light-hearted banter about whether the estate would fall into ruin once more, prompting Amanda to firmly retort: "No it will not ever be a ruin again, if Reuben moves in, yes it will become a ruin again!" Looking towards the future, Amanda revealed her plans: "Work is continuing and we're forging ahead, it's like we're nearly onto the next stage. Once we've got the plaster on and the floor done, there's no reason why some of this stuff [the furniture] can't go up there", asking for her daughters' help in styling the property. At the close of the episode, a Channel 4 teaser left viewers in suspense with the message "to be continued..." etched across the screen.
