Apollo University, Chittoor gets ISO certification
Chittoor: The Apollo University, Chittoor has been awarded the ISO 21001:2018 certification, a global recognition for excellence in implementing educational organisation management systems. This certification has also been granted to Apollo College of Nursing campuses in Chittoor and Chennai, further underscoring the group's commitment to maintaining high academic standards. To mark this milestone, a certificate handover ceremony was held on Friday at the campus. M Mahesh Malpathak, Director, BSI India, presented the ISO 21001:2018 certificates to Prof M Potharaju, Registrar of The Apollo University, Dr T Jayanthi, Principal of Apollo College of Nursing, and Dr Sathyashakthi, Principal of Apollo College of Nursing, Chennai. Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor of Apollo University Dr H Vinod Bhat said that this recognition reflects their steadfast commitment to delivering quality education through globally benchmarked academic standards. Apollo University in Chittoor secures ISO 21001:2018 certification
The Apollo University in Chittoor has been awarded the ISO 21001:2018 certification, signifying international recognition for excellence in educational management systems, announced Vice-Chancellor H. Vinod Bhat on Friday. During a ceremony held to commemorate this achievement, he noted that the certification also extends to the university's nursing colleges in Chittoor and Chennai. 'This recognition underscores the university's commitment to adhering to global academic standards,' the Vice-Chancellor stated. He further added that the university is actively working towards obtaining NAAC accreditation by June 2026. The event was attended by faculty members from various departments as well as senior university officials.

2-day conference on ‘Connectomics' begins
CHITTOOR: The 2-day national conference 'Connectomics 2025', focusing on the convergence of Omics, Bioinformatics, and Data Science for modern medical research, was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Apollo Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMSR), Chittoor. Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor of Apollo University Dr H Vinod Bhat said that Genomics and Connectomics will play a crucial role in the future of medicine. He highlighted the growing importance of using these technologies for personalised healthcare and early diagnosis. He further said that public health initiatives must increasingly incorporate genomic screening and vaccination to strengthen immunity and prevent the onset of diseases. CEO of Apollo Knowledge V Sivaramakrishnan noted the increasing relevance of digital health and shared how Apollo is taking a leading step in this space. Patients will soon be able to access their health data via mobile devices and even receive medicines at home. Dr Usha Adiga, Associate Dean at AIMSR, stated that the conference brings together top minds from medical, biotech, and data science key objectives are to strengthen public health through technology and explore new frontiers in medical research. NMDC to offer free courses for ST students
HYDERABAD: The National Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NMDC) has announced two key education initiatives under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, aimed at empowering tribal youth through free, high-quality professional education. The initiatives — Balika Shiksha Yojana (BSY) for tribal girls and a Medical Technology Programme in partnership with Apollo University, Chittoor — are designed to bridge the opportunity gap for tribal communities. As part of BSY, NMDC is offering 100% free nursing education to young tribal girls from Bastar, Dantewada, Sukma, Kondagaon, Bijapur, and Narayanpur. The selected students can pursue BSc Nursing (4 years) or GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery, 3 years) courses at reputed institutions such as Apollo School of Nursing, Yashoda School of Nursing, and KIMS College of Nursing in Hyderabad.
