iPhone 17 Pro Display Upgrades: Get Ready For Some Big Changes
Last Updated: iPhone 17 Pro series is likely to get this Samsung-like premium upgrade for the display which will make it really useful. Apple is planning for some exciting changes with the iPhone 17 Pro series this year and no, we are not talking about the new camera layout and more AI features. The company could finally focus on a very important part of the devices which is the display. And new reports suggest Apple iPhone 17 Pro is likely to offer anti-reflective displays with a scratch resistant layer to keep it protected. It might not sound like a big deal for now, but after seeing its use and purpose on the iPad Pro 2024 model, it seems imperative that at least the iPhone 17 Pro variants get it this year. iPhone 17 Pro 'Display Upgrade' Coming: What It Offers? Samsung will get the credit for bringing anti-reflective coating on smartphones with the Galaxy S24 Ultra model last year, its own premium offering. Similarly, we are hoping that Apple adopts the iPad Pro-like panel on the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max which gives it more durability, better readability and the lack of reflection will become valuable once you don't have it. It has more functional reasons to be offered and we really hope these rumours are true. After all, you already have the ProMotion 120Hz display on the iPhone Pro models, and having this layer will add further sheen to the screen. Apple could add another camera control button which could sit on the top edge of the iPhones that will give you easy access to the camera. You've already got one button for the cameras on the bottom right near the power button so we're not sure why Apple wants to bring another button for the same function. Apple is rumoured to be taking the camera bar route with the iPhone 17 Pro series and the leaks have vouched for the change. view comments First Published: August 01, 2025, 11:03 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. In a latest, a user has been caught using – what appears to be Apple iPhone 17 Pro – in the wild. Images of the alleged smartphone have been shared by an X user named Fox Puppy. While the authenticity of the images remain unverified, the user claims that the 'guy on the right was security and trying to go in front of the iPhone to hide it'. What the alleged photos of iPhone 17 Pro hints at Clearly, the alleged iPhone 17 Pro in the leaked photos can be seen covered in a thick black case. Silver camera rings are visible on the left, and the LiDAR sensor and flash appear to be moved to the right. These placements match earlier mockups and leaks shared in recent months. Design changes that may come with Apple iPhone 17 Pro Tipster Majin Bu, in a blog post, has claimed that Apple may reposition the Apple logo which is currently placed slightly off-center and below the camera module since the iPhone X. With the iPhone 17 Pro models, the logo may now be moved lower, toward the center bottom of the phone. 'This recent discovery, reported by direct sources among case manufacturers, marks an evolution in Apple's aesthetic language,' Bu writes. The report adds that the repositioning of Apple logo has raised concerns among manufacturers about possible interference, leading the industry to look for ways to ensure continued compatibility. Some factories have already produced cases based on the current design and are waiting for official confirmation before making changes. To address the issue, case makers are working on design changes. iPhone 17 Pro expected features A report by The Information previously said that the iPhone 17 Pro may come with a redesigned rear panel composed of both aluminum and glass. It may feature an aluminum rear panel, housing a camera bump, bigger than the one found on the iPhone 16 Pro models. On the specifications part, the phone may come powered by Apple's A19 Pro chip , manufactured using TSMC's 3nm process. iPhone 17 Pro is said to offer 12GB of RAM, up from the iPhone 16 Pro's 8GB. For camera duties, it may have a 48MP telephoto lens, replacing the 12MP sensor found in the iPhone 16 Pro. For selfies, the smartphone is tipped to have a 24MP sensor.
