Texas A&M star OL named to CBS Sports' preseason All-America team
Texas A&M's 2025 roster isn't talent-deficient in the slightest, as coach Mike Elko has continued to emphasize the need to acquire and develop NFL-level talent, starting with the offensive line, which features senior guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams, who is considered one of the top overall players entering the 2025 season. After transferring from Kansas last offseason, Adams is on his way to being a potential 2026 first-round NFL Draft selection. Considered the best run blocker nationally, Adams will likely be the anchor of the Aggie O-line, leading the program's deep running back room, and after a complete season learning OC Collin Klein's zone and gap run schemes, both units should work together to produce an elite run game that also helps control the clock. Redshirt sophomore quarterback Marcel Reed has already shown improvement as a passer this preseason. If the pass protection holds up, A&M's offense should be a consistent strength for the first time in several seasons. This month, every major sports media outlet has released a preseason All-American team, including CBS Sports, which listed Ar'maj Reed-Adams as one of the five first-team offensive linemen. Here's CBS Sports writer Will Backus's take on Adam's selection: "A former starter at Kansas, Reed-Adams transferred to Texas A&M ahead of the 2024 season and immediately emerged as one of the top interior offensive linemen in the country. He started at right guard in all 13 of Texas A&M's games and allowed just one sack and one quarterback hit in 361 pass block snaps, according to PFF. The 6-foot-5 and 325-pound Reed-Adams also graded out as an elite run blocker while helping pave the way for the second-best rushing attack in the SEC." Adams is slated to start at right guard despite the news that Elko and O-line coach Adam Cushing have been testing out potential changes in the trenches, including left tackle Trey Zuhn taking practice snaps at center. This experiment is a testament to the elite talent and depth the staff has developed/acquired over the last two offseasons. On a side note, junior linebacker Taurean York, who is also considered one of the top players in the country, was not selected to the first or second team in CBS Sports' All-American team. Two Texas A&M OL named to Outland Trophy watch list
Texas A&M's 2025 offensive line has been nationally hailed as an elite unit based on the returning talent, size, and power that all five presumed starters possess, led by the return of left tackle Trey Zuhn III, left guard Chase Bisontis, center Mark Nabou, right guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams, and right tackle Dametrious Crownover. On Tuesday, two of the five starters were named to the Outland Trophy watch list. Returning for their final seasons in College Station, Trey Zuhn and Ar'maj Reed-Adams are considered first or second-round NFL Draft selections heading into next spring, and are two of the top players at their position, resulting in an unsurprising addition to the Outland watch list. Zuhn's ascendence as the program's starting left tackle began during the latter half of the 2022 season after starting 11 games, as the Colorado native's 6'7", 315-pound frame has made current OL coach Adam Cushing's job from a development standpoint much easier. Reed-Adams, who transferred from Kansas before the 2024 season after making 31 appearances and 15 starts with the Jayhawks, settled in at right guard, starting every game last season. For a program that once consistently worried about offensive line play, this is quite the positive shift heading into the 2025 campaign, as all five starters and several reserve options are seen as future NFL players. Here is more on the Outland Trophy's background provided by Texas A&M Athletics' website: The Outland Trophy, celebrating its 80th year since its founding, is the third-oldest major college football award. Created in 1946 when Dr. John Outland presented the FWAA with a financial contribution to initiate the award, the Outland Trophy has been given to the best interior lineman in college football ever since Dr. Outland, an All-American at the University of Pennsylvania in the late 1890s, eventually took up practice in Kansas City, Mo. An avid outdoorsman, Dr. Outland believed linemen did not get the credit they deserved and wanted an award to recognize them. Chiefs summer scouting: Texas A&M Aggies offensive line
Ar'maj Reed-Adams is a DAWG at Right Guard (even took some Right Tackle snaps in this one) The Kansas City Chiefs turned over two positions along their offensive line this summer and could explore more changes next spring depending on the performances of Jawaan Taylor and Kingsley Suamataia. Fans should closely monitor the Texas A&M Aggies offensive line for potential Chiefs targets in the 2026 NFL draft. Four of Texas A&M's starting offensive linemen possess NFL talent. Unlike Clemson's defensive front, the Aggies don't have any future first round selections in the trenches. However, the collection of fourth through sixth round prospects makes the unit one of college football's most talented fronts. The four Aggies eyeing NFL futures include left guard Chase Bisontis, right tackle Dametrious Crownover, right guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams and left tackle Trey Zuhn III. Backup right tackle Reuben Fatheree II, who previously lost his starting role to Crownover, also has the potential to attract attention from the NFL. Bisontis is a quick guard with exceptional range in the run game. He's at his best on the move due to his unique mobility, speed and understanding of angles when operating in space. Bisontis is an aggressive blocker who seeks pancake opportunities, but he ended up on the wrong end of some clashes in 2024 against powerful opponents like Vernon Broughton, Alfred Collins and Cam'Ron Jackson. Reed-Adams meets all of the league's size requirements and overwhelms undersized defensive tackles. His broad frame and NFL-caliber power make him an imposing interior presence capable of anchoring against power rushers or torquing defenders out of gaps. His core and grip strength jump off the tape. However, Reed-Adams' agility and lack of suddenness make it easier for twitchy interior rushers to capture his outside shoulder. His mental processing speed must improve to negate some of his athletic limitations. Reed-Adams' impact in the run game is inconsistent because of concerns with his balance, pad level and range. Crownover is a hulking offensive lineman with a prototypical frame for an NFL tackle. When he engages his hands early in plays, Crownover uses his sheer size and power to overwhelm smaller edge rushers. Many pass rushers fail to threaten his anchor with power or escape his reach with explosiveness. Crownover's size is a double-edged sword. He plays with a high pad level and mediocre foot speed that limit his range and leverage. His hand usage leaves plenty to be desired. Crownover's lack of ideal athletic traits and poor leverage limit his ceiling. Zuhn is a beloved leader who served as a team captain in 2024. He's a quick processor and high IQ prospect with polished hand usage that makes up for some of the issues with his arm length. Zuhn frames blocks well and quickly refits his hands to maintain leverage. Unfortunately, his poor foot speed, average anchor and forward lean in his pass set suggest he should transition to playing guard in the NFL.

3 Texas A&M players included in Pro Football Focus's Top 50 2026 NFL Draft prospects
3 Texas A&M players included in Pro Football Focus's Top 50 2026 NFL Draft prospects Texas A&M's 2025 football roster isn't lacking talent at any position. While the disappointing 1-4 finish during the 2024 season still haunts most of the Aggie fan base, it's time to move on and look ahead, as the 2025 campaign, which his highly critical for coach Mike Elko's future, is less than 100 days away. This offseason, during several speaking events, Elko emphasized the importance of building the program through recruiting elite talent and developing prospects to send to the NFL ultimately. During the 2025 NFL draft, only three Aggies heard their names called, led by junior edge Shemar Stewart, who was selected with the 17th overall selection by the Cincinnati Bengals. Followed by edge Nic Scourton (Carolina Panthers) and defensive lineman Shemar Stewart (Chicago Bears) going early in the second round, three players drafted isn't a good number for most SEC programs, outside of Vanderbilt, but this was mainly due to several veterans, including left tackle Trey Zuhn, right guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams, and running back Le'Veon Moss, who would have been selected in the early rounds. For the 2026 NFL draft, Pro Football Focus believes Texas A&M will have at least three players guaranteed to be selected in the first two or three rounds, led by linebacker Taurean York, guard Ar'maj Reed-Adams, and wide receiver KC Concepcion, who transferred to College Station from NC State this offseason. Here is where each player landed in PFF's Top 50 2026 NFL prospects Taurean York (23rd) Ar'Maj Reed-Adams (28th) KC Concepcion (35th) Two former Aggies were also ranked, led by defensive tackle LT Overton (20th) and, former Texas A&M QB turned star Vanderbilt tight end Eli Stowers finsihing the rankings at No. 50. Texas A&M needs to take advantage of the talent and experience on the roster, which would be a shame, and detrimental to the coaching staff to waste in 2025.
