WA's awesome foursome taken in mid-season draft
Peel Thunder premiership defender Michael Sellwood has become the first WAFL player picked up in the mid-season rookie draft after landing at the Western Bulldogs.
Selwood was taken by the Bulldogs with the No.5 in the draft after a stellar 18 months for the Thunder as a key part of their premiership side.
The 21-year-old is averaging 24 disposals, 81 per cent kicking efficiency and 10 intercept possessions in the first seven game, while also starring for the WAFL in the breakthrough win over the SANFL.

Subiaco forward Archer May was the next WAFL player to go only one pick later with Essendon pouncing on the spearhead with pick No.6.
May has kicked 12 goals in six games for the Lions before sitting out the weekend's loss to South Fremantle after nearly being guaranteed an AFL lifeline.
The 20-year-old came over to the Lions from the Richmond VFL program where he has proven to be a strong forward, averaging 14 disposals, six marks and six score involvements as well as two goals. West Perth wingman Roan Steele has landed at Collingwood with pick No.8 after The West Australian revealed he had a medical with the Magpies while they were in town to take on Fremantle earlier this month.
Steele, 23, crossed to the Falcons from Casey Demons and has averaged 21 disposals and kicked five goals in seven games.
East Fremantle ruckman Lachlan Blakiston has landed at Essendon with pick No.13 after a strong past 12 months.
The 203cm big man was close to being drafted by Geelong and St Kilda before last year's draft but joins the Bombers to help fill the void in their ruck depth with the loss of Nick Bryan (knee) and Sam Drapher (Achilles) to season-ending injuries.
