SHAH ALAM - The conflict between popular actress Anna Jobling and her mother, Ariz Arop, continues to be the talk of the town after the latter came forward with an emotional revelation about how her daughter has been allegedly treating her. In a video uploaded on Instagram Story, Ariz claimed she was being treated 'like a stray dog' despite having sacrificed her wealth and energy to ensure the comfort of the "Setia Itu Mahal" drama actress. "I have already told her, when you become famous, don't forget who you are. But when she became famous, she treated me like this. Even though she often gives me money, does she think she can treat me this way? "I pawned my car, my jewellery, everything, just so I could live with her in Kuala Lumpur. I was her unpaid driver, taking her everywhere," the mother claimed. Ariz said what began as a minor disagreement between the two escalated when Anna, whose full name is Anna Ellisa Gustin Jobling Abdul Rahman Jobling, called in a lawyer to intervene. "At first, it was a normal argument over issues we were unhappy with each other about. But the situation worsened to the point where she insulted me and called a lawyer to remove me from the car, as if I were a threat to her life," she explained tearfully. She added that she never anticipated a grand reward from her daughter, merely wishing to share in her comfort after raising her and supporting her career. "Soar as high as you wish, but never forget that in every success there is a mother's prayer," she added. Previously, the mother-daughter dispute garnered public interest when Ariz disclosed that she had received an injunction order from Anna with a photo of herself at a police station. To date, Anna has not publicly commented on the situation or released any statements on her social media platforms.

(Video) Anna Jobling's Mother Claims Actress Filed Injunction Order Against Her
Many stars have severed ties with their family members due to various reasons, but mostly to protect their safety and image. Recently, actress Anna Jobling sparked debate after her mother revealed that the actress has filed an injunction against her. Over the weekend, a video surfaced on social media, depicting the actress' mother, Ariz Arop, crying in front of a police station. In the video, Ariz was speaking through tears about her daughter Anna, claiming that the actress had severed ties with her. She also said, 'She assumed that just because she gave me money, she could treat me like this. Like I'm a stray dog.' The video quickly went viral, sparking discussion over what happened between the mother and daughter. Speaking to media outlets, Ariz revealed that her relationship with Anna has deteriorated since last year. She also claimed that the 'Setia Itu Mahal' star had filed an injunction order against her in December 2024, restraining her from being within 100 meters of the actress. However, the injunction has been dismissed. While Anna filed the order last year, Ariz said she felt compelled to go public with the issue months later after a recent incident with her daughter. She claimed the two had fought in their car, resulting in Anna pulling her hair. The actress's mother also alleged she got locked in, which triggered a panic attack. She also shared photos of bruising on her hand, which she alleged was from her banging on the car window to escape. Ariz never revealed what exactly happened between her and Anna. However, it was alleged that the discord was because she was being too controlling over the actress's career, causing mental distress. Ariz also admitted to hitting the star, but argued that she did so to 'teach' her daughter. Meanwhile, Anna has remained silent on the issue, continuing to post about her new projects on her social media. Netizens have reacted to the situation, urging Anna to share her side of the story. At the same time, many are hoping the mother and daughter can fix their relationship. We also wish the best for Anna and Ariz. Arizona homeowners are bumping up to capital gains limits. Here's what to know
Nearly half of Arizona homeowners have over $250,000 in home equity, potentially triggering capital gains taxes upon sale. A 1997 federal capital gains rule raised limits for what homeowners can earn on a sale without paying extra taxes. Joint filers can pocket $500,000 before paying capital gains. The National Association of Realtors, which did a study on how many homeowners could have to pay more taxes due to higher stakes in their houses, is backing bipartisan legislation to raise the limits. And it would be a big increase that could save some homeowners a lot of money. Rising home prices have more homeowners edging above the existing tax limits. The capital gains tax, which can be as high as 20% depending on a homeowner's income, may be deterring some sellers and contributing to a slowdown in the housing market, according to housing analysts. About 10% of Arizona homeowners have exceeded the $500,000 equity cap. Nationally, 34% of homeowners, or approximately 29 million, could already have enough equity in their homes to exceed the $250,000 cap, and over 10%, or around 8 million, could have more than $500,000, according to NAR. Bipartisan federal legislation called the More Homes on the Market Act has been introduced. The legislation would double the capital gains limits. The capital gains exemption can only be used every two years on primary residences. There are ways to defer capital gains that involve reinvesting. Accountants and financial advisors can offer advice. This article originally appeared on Arizona Republic: More Ariz. homeowners bumping up to capital gains limits. What to know
