Arunachal minister launches Handloom & Handicrafts Policy '25 to empower weavers
Itanagar: In an effort to empower weavers and artisans, and to preserve its rich tribal heritage, Arunachal Pradesh Handloom and Handicrafts Policy, 2025, was launched in Tezu in Lohit district, reports Joken Ete.
Arunachal Pradesh textile and handicrafts minister Nyato Dukam launched the policy during the 11th National Handloom Day celebrations organised by the department of textile & handicrafts in collaboration with the development commissioner (handlooms), Union ministry of textiles. The new policy provides a comprehensive framework to address challenges in the sector and unlock its immense cultural and economic potentials.
