This philosophy has been made increasingly evident in recent months as several brands and corporations have faced public backlash from consumers who disagree with their stance on political issues like DEI and immigration. Target, for example, has seen a significant decline in business after making the decision to scale back its diversity initiatives amid pressure from the Trump administration. Other companies like Walmart and McDonald's have also started to feel the sting of boycotts, and it looks like there's one more brand to add to the a decidedly unexpected twist, fans are calling for a boycott of Crumbl Cookies after a Tiktok posted by a former employee threatening to 'expose' the brand went viral. According to @ post, Crumbl Cookies allegedly fired her after three years and then called United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on her. "I just got fired from Crumbl Cookies after three years, so now I'm exposing everything they never wanted customers to know," the caption reads.
The user then goes on to accuse the company of using pre-made or frozen cookie dough, recycling recipes, and simply using the giant mixers for aesthetic purposes rather than a functional one. While she doesn't provide any additional context for what lead to her firing and the shady move that led to her being deported, the video has already amassed over 8 millions views and thousands of comments calling for a complete boycott of the brand.
'Never going back to Crumbl. Calling ICE on an employee is unforgivable,' said one person. 'Crumbl Cookie is mid anyway,' commented someone else. One alleged employee even said that they were going to quit. So far, there have been no reports of an ICE raid at Crumbl Cookie, but that hasn't stopped fans from calling it quits on the brand.
