Stock market update: Nifty Auto index advances 0.42% in an upbeat market
NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded positive around 11:24AM(IST)on Monday in an upbeat market. ADVERTISEMENT Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.06 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd.(up 0.86 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent) and Tube Investments of India Ltd.(up 0.63 per cent) were among the top gainers. MRF Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.49 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.27 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(down 0.08 per cent) and Bosch Ltd.(down 0.04 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty Auto index was up 0.42 per cent at 23994.6 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 90.5 points at 25058.9, while the BSE Sensex was up 360.49 points at 82118.22. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red. ADVERTISEMENT Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, JP Power, PC Jeweller and Ola Electric Mobilit were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Bluspring Enterprises Ltd., Paradeep Phosphates, Gallantt Metal, Digitide Solutions Ltd. and Soma Textiles hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Reliance Comm, LCC Infotech, Smartworks Coworking, Supreme Engineering and Marshall Machines hit fresh 52-week lows in trade. NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index traded negative around 11:28AM(IST)on Monday in a weak market. ADVERTISEMENT Ashok Leyland Ltd.(up 1.81 per cent), Bosch Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd.(up 0.58 per cent), Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd.(up 0.57 per cent) and Tube Investments of India Ltd.(up 0.3 per cent) were among the top gainers. Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent), Bharat Forge Ltd.(down 1.02 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent) and Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty Auto index was down 0.09 per cent at 23473.3 at the time of writing this report. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 103.15 points at 25046.7, while the BSE Sensex was down 367.81 points at 82132.66. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 31 were in the red. Tube Investments of India Ltd.(down 0.71 per cent) and MRF Ltd.(down 0.52 per cent) were the top losers on the index. The Nifty Auto index was up 0.85 per cent at 23503.4 at the time of writing this report.
