Congress, BJP leaders join AAP with supporters
Ludhiana: Congress 's Ludhiana vice-president, Veer Karamveer Shelly and BJP spokesman Amit Kumar joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with several supporters on Friday, AAP claimed. MLAs Ashok Parashar Pappi, Kulwant Sidhu, and Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina formally inducted the new joinees into the party. As per AAP, Veer Karamveer Shelly joined with his associates, Rinku (Ward 65), Pradeep (Ward 63), Raju (Ward 63), Roni Gogla (Ward 65), Deepak (Ward 65), Sunny (Ward 63), Shiva Sood (Ward 63), and Sanjay Kumar (Ward 63). Addressing mediapersons, MLA Ashok Parashar Pappi welcomed the new leaders and said that they were inspired by the policies and work of the Aam Aadmi Party. "Their inclusion will undoubtedly strengthen the party in the by-elections," he said. Pappi claimed that the work done by Sanjeev Arora for Ludhiana and the "excellent governance" provided by chief minister Bhagwant Mann over the past three and a half years across Punjab had motivated people from all sections and communities to join the party. Atam Nagar MLA Kulwant Singh Sidhu, said, "Today, leaders of BJP and Congress have joined the Aam Aadmi Party, putting their stamp of approval on the vision and policies of our chief minister Bhagwant Mann Ji and Arvind Kejriwal Ji. We are grateful for their support. We assure you that you will be given due respect and a proper place in the party's organisation so that, together with you, we can work better for Punjab's development. " MLA Rajinder Pal Kaur Chhina also said that the BJP spokesman and Ludhiana Congress vice-president joined AAP after getting impressed with work done by the party. AAP MLAs take out candle light march against attack, demand action from Centre
1 2 3 Ludhiana: Outraged by the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders and citizens, held a candlelight march in Chaura Bazaar area on Thursday evening. MLAs Madan Lal Bagga and Ashok Parashar Pappi, Mayor Inderjit Kaur, district president Sharanpal Singh Makkar, market committee chairman Gurjeet Singh Gill, along with several other party leaders, took part in the march. The march, which went through Ludhiana's main markets, was a heartfelt tribute to the victims, an expression of collective grief, and a call for justice. Participants, including the MLAs and the mayor, carried banners with messages against terrorism, and raised slogans of "Bharat Mata ki Jai." The march symbolized solidarity with the victims' families and a unified stand against terrorism. During the event, MLA Madan Lal Bagga said, "The Pahalgam attack has shaken us to the core. We stand with the victims' families, offer our condolences, and demand exemplary action from Prime Minister Narendra Modi against those responsible."
